Ning An's Wild Wish System

Just as netizens around the world were buzzing with discussions, Walker finally found Williams.

Listening to Walker’s description, Williams sobered up instantly, violently throwing the lady next to him onto the floor, quickly standing up with an incredulous look:

”That’s impossible!”

”I personally checked one box, and they were indeed all aircraft carrier arresting gears, no problem!”

Walker looked at him as if he were an idiot, angrily saying, ”You fool, you checked one box when you received hundreds of boxes. You’re a natural business genius!”

Williams frowned, in disbelief: ”They can’t sell these things at all. We buy their stuff; they should be eager to curry favor with us, and yet they’re playing this trick?”

Walker wished he could slap this clueless teammate to death; the key issue now is to quickly resolve this blunder.

Walker said in a deep voice, ”Now, you come with me immediately, and as soon as you get there, you apologize to Officer Davis.”

”Then, in front of the reporters’ cameras, say that during loading, due to an employee’s negligence, the goods meant for a private enterprise were mistakenly sent to the military.”

”As for anything else, don’t say too much. Just get through today, and there might still be a chance for us to survive!”

”Yes, if the representatives from Dragon Country and Russia ask you for compensation, just agree to everything; I’ll think of a way to defuse this bomb later.”

Williams listened and laughed out loud, staring at Walker: ”Are you making me the scapegoat?”

”Could this explanation be any more ridiculous? Do you think those shrewd people will believe it?”

”According to what you say, haha, I might just be the first one to be executed.”

Williams appeared deranged, laughing madly.

Originally, if he followed his plan and successfully completed the business deal,

he would’ve immediately become a billionaire, the Ministry of Defense would owe him favors.

Not to mention running rampant in Yingjiang, he could also oppress back home with impunity.

Yet now, with a few words from Walker, his beautiful dream is shattered, and he might spend the rest of his life in prison.

Williams certainly knew that this was currently the best solution, but he was unwilling to accept it.

Unwilling!

As time passed, he gradually calmed down and looked at Walker with a sinister gaze: ”Okay, I’ll do as you say, but you must guarantee my family’s safety!”

Walker immediately nodded: ”Rest assured, from now on, your son is my son, your wife is my wife!”

No matter what conditions Williams proposed at this time, Walker would nod first to keep him stable.

Otherwise, without Williams as the scapegoat, Walker would be the first to suffer.

When Walker and Williams arrived at the third port, reporters from various countries crazily surrounded them.

”Mr. Williams, why did you replace the aircraft carrier arresting gear with ropes and wire on such an important day?”

”What do you have to say about the clown dolls in the containers?”

”Is your company’s advertised far superior arresting gear really true?”

Walker sent a look, and immediately security personnel escorted them, opening a path for the day.

At such a critical moment, who cares to explain to these ants.

Instantly, Walker took Williams to Davis.

Looking at the businessman in front of him, Davis had a murderous look in his eyes but spoke gently: ”Are you the talented young Williams?”

Williams nodded, without speaking.

Davis turned his head, smiling at the Dragon Country and Russian representatives: ”This is the director of the company producing the aircraft carrier arresting gear. I’ve already brought him over. If there’s anything you’d like to ask, feel free.”

Without waiting for Li Jianye and the Russian representative to speak, Williams proactively, very forthrightly said: ”Gentlemen, I’m really sorry.”

”Due to a worker’s mistake, your goods and those of a private company were mixed up. Please forgive us.”

Li Jianye and the Russian representative both rolled their eyes to the sky.

They knew what was going on, even if they didn’t; this excuse was too flimsy.

”You’re saying, the goods were wrongly loaded for us?”

Williams nodded: ”Our company’s mistake, I fully take responsibility. After today, I’ll compensate as per the contract fully.”

Hearing this obviously flimsy excuse, the Russian representative couldn’t help but chuckle.

The global audiences watching through live broadcast could only think it was nonsense.

”Isn’t this excuse too far-fetched?”

”No, I’m really curious, what kind of company would need something made of ropes and wire? And hundreds of boxes?”

”There’s even a clown doll in the box, what’s up with that, does the company’s representative have a grudge against you, or did they take your husband?”

Davis could of course tell that this was a lie, as this excuse was simply too much of an excuse.

After thinking briefly, Davis realized something was amiss, very amiss.

He now just wanted to quickly end this blunder of a farce, and then find out what was really going on.

”Gentlemen, all of this is our Yingjiang’s problem; we won’t shirk it.”

”Rest assured, Yingjiang will cover all your losses as per the contract, and we will not let you suffer any loss.”

Davis showed a gallant demeanor, speaking with an unspeakable boldness.

He didn’t want to do this either, but now, making financial amends seemed the best solution.

After all, compared to his vague foreboding, the money was less important.

Not to mention hundreds of billions of US Dollars, even if there was another zero added, he’d grit his teeth and accept it.

Compared to losing face in front of the world, clearly money wasn’t the problem.

Before Li Jianye and the Russian representative could speak, Andre smiled at the reporters and said:

”Who would’ve thought, what was supposed to be a harmonious meeting ended up wrapping up hastily due to a small oversight.”

”I’m deeply regretful for this result, but since this is our problem, we’re not avoiding it; we’re resolutely taking responsibility for it.”

”Meanwhile, I’d also like to apologize to my friends in cooperation, and after this cooperation ends, I hope for more opportunities to cooperate with Dragon Country and Russia, contributing to world peace.”

”I announce, this press conference is successfully concluded.”

After delivering this impassioned speech, Davis gave a look, Andre got the hint.

Immediately, Andre directed the security on-site to clear the venue.

However, Li Jianye and the Russian representative wouldn’t just let him have his way.

This time, they were after more than just US Dollars.

Immediately, Li Jianye stepped forward, conveniently blocking Williams’ way out: ”Sir, please hold on a moment.”

Williams stopped in his tracks, looking up: ”Is there any other issue?”

Li Jianye smiled and said, ”The aircraft carrier arresting gear is critical for our country, so I have a few more questions.”

”If Dragon Country wants to receive this batch of aircraft carrier arresting gears, how much longer would it take?”

Williams fumbled: ”About... soonish...”

As a middleman without a supply base, how dare he boast.

Still present, Davis felt uneasy inside but faked calmness, warmly inviting: ”Dear Li, rest assured, the arresting gear will definitely arrive before your aircraft carrier is launched. Let’s have the dinner specially prepared by my chef.”

The Russian representative figured it out, glancing around before giving a cold smile: ”I heard, of course just heard, if it’s untrue, take it as a joke to listen to.”

”It’s said that this company hasn’t actually produced any aircraft carrier arresting gear and is essentially a shell company!”

Davis’s heart skipped a beat but he forced himself to explain: ”I admit, this enterprise has issues in some areas, but we can’t condemn it entirely.”

”Moreover, being a Yingjiang enterprise, if there were problems, wouldn’t we know?”

Previously, Walker and Williams’ plan, although flawed, was still reasonable.

Additionally, Dragon Country directly set up within the situation, utilizing national power to patch the flaw.

This made the whole thing appear flawless.

So from beginning to end, Andre and Davis were kept in the dark.

Now with tall structures precariously imbalanced, the slightest move affects everything, it was too late for Davis to regret now.
