Ning An's Wild Wish System

Ning An beamed as he led the way:

”Little layman, please follow me.”

Seeing Wang Xiaopang still hesitating, his mother in a red dress, with the force of Daiyu plucking a willow, hefted her struggling son onto her shoulder and followed along.

Ning An led the mother and son to the incense burner outside the Prayer Hall.

”Layman, light incense here, then go into the hall to make a wish.”

After briefly explaining the incense lighting precautions, Ning An casually pulled out three incense sticks and handed them over.

Wang Xiaopang reluctantly took the incense, looked up hesitantly, and said:

”Daoist brother, can I get an incense that doesn’t work?”

”Everyone online says your incense is very effective...”

Hearing Wang Xiaopang’s words, the livestream viewers were the first to laugh.

”Oh wow, first time seeing effective incense being disliked, hilarious.”

”Hahaha, just imagining him finishing the incense, and then his summer homework flying back by itself makes me laugh.”

”Right, right...”

However,

Before Wang Xiaopang could continue speaking, his mom smacked the back of his head.

”Light the incense when you’re told.”

”Where’s all this nonsense coming from?”

Then, the mother in the red dress smiled apologetically at Ning An and said, ”Sorry, he’s just a bit mischievous, he doesn’t mean to offend the gods.”

Ning An smiled kindly, waving his hand, ”Children are innocent; it’s no problem.”

Seeing his mother switch from irresistible charm to predatory fierceness, Wang Xiaopang dared not make a sound and shut his mouth tight.

Can a six-year-old like him handle a woman like this?

His dad is already in his thirties and still gets bossed around by his wife!

Wang Xiaopang wiped his nose, grudgingly lifted the incense sticks, and began to make a wish:

”Dear Immortal grandpas, my mom said I threw away my summer homework, but I didn’t, heavens know I’m innocent...”

Listening to her bratty kid ramble, the mother in the red dress couldn’t hold back and let out a lion’s roar, ”Get to the point!”

Wang Xiaopang shivered, almost dropping the incense and burning himself, looking pitifully at Ning An.

Yet, seeing the local ruler unmoved, he pouted, almost in tears, ”If the Immortal grandpas in the heavens have spirits, please make my lost summer homework walk back on its own, I didn’t throw it away.”

Just as Wang Xiaopang made his wish, the system panel duly arrived.

[Gender: Male]

[Occupation: Student]

[Name: Wang Xiaopang]

[Wish: For his lost summer homework to return on its own]

[Unorthodox wish-fulfillment method: To avoid doing summer homework, Wang Xiaopang discussed with his soon-to-travel abroad deskmate to take his summer homework and lose it overseas!

But in a moment of oversight, his summer homework clearly had his name, address, and contact information. Half an hour later, the foreign streamer who found it would make him internet-famous and then return it for free!

His mom, embarrassed and furious, picked up a spiky wooden stick and demanded disinfectant alcohol, ultimately giving him a spanking!]

Wow.

Having the deskmate throw the homework overseas?

What an out-of-the-box move.

Ning An smacked his lips repeatedly but couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly at the wish fulfillment method:

”Who knows what reaction this little rascal will have when he sees himself embarrassed overseas.”

Soon, Wang Xiaopang finished making his wish.

Then his mother in the red dress took over and stuck the incense into the incense burner.

”Daoist brother, I’ve said it loud enough, the Immortal grandpas must have heard, so I don’t need to go in, right?”

Seeing the disobedient child ready to retreat, his mother in the red dress grabbed him by the nape and said to Ning An with a smile:

”Daoist Master Ning, sorry for the trouble.”

”Even if you kneel or lie down today, I’ll drag you to make a wish!”

Meanwhile, in the livestream, the viewers were already in stitches.

”I’m dying of laughter hahaha, he’s a stubborn one, but his mom’s even stubborner. Didn’t listen? Don’t worry, there are ways to deal with you.”

”Waaah, I just love this kind, I’d cry, where can I find a wife like that?”

...

As they entered the Prayer Hall.

Ning An again explained the rules to the little rascal.

Then he slipped to the side and stepped outside the hall.

Under his mother’s stern gaze, Wang Xiaopang reluctantly knelt on the prayer mat and kowtowed three loud times.

The kind you could hear.

Then, facing the deity statue inside the hall, Wang Xiaopang once again repeated his wish.

Exiting the hall, his mother in the red dress pulled him aside and somewhat embarrassedly said:

”Daoist Master Ning, I know that making a wish here comes with a cost, but he...”

The mother in the red dress eyed Ning An, being a fan of Changchun Temple, she naturally knew that aside from the Divine Invitation Incense, other incense wishes came with a price.

Ning An smiled awkwardly, then softly said, ”There’s no need to worry about that; finding the summer homework isn’t a major wish, and the cost is likely negligible, nothing to worry about.”

After hearing this, the mother in the red dress seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and patted her chest.

Seeing this scene, Ning An turned to look at the livestream, and sure enough, the viewers were uniformly laughing along.

”Whoa! This mom is killing me with laughter, didn’t even ask about the price beforehand.”

”Hehehe, millennial parenting, don’t ask for much, just survival is enough.”

”I can’t imagine what it will be like when the Gen Z starts parenting.”

Just as the mother in the red dress was about to bid farewell to Ning An, a phone call came in, with ”Chairman Wang” clearly noted.

She gave Ning An an apologetic look, cleared her throat, and answered the phone directly: ”Chairman Wang, umm... yes, it’s me...”

Seeing this, the livestream viewers couldn’t help but express their thoughts.
