Ning An's Wild Wish System

Chapter 91: Chapter 85: What Was Thought to Be a Major Case Turned Out to Be a Major Criminal Case

This is HIV!

There’s absolutely no cure!

Li Kaiping felt as if the backbone supporting him had been taken away, and at the moment he heard those words, the sky seemed like it was about to collapse.

He staggered and almost couldn’t stand, but fortunately, Ning An reacted quickly and helped him sit down.

Slumping into the chair, Li Kaiping kept murmuring, ”How is this possible? This can’t be happening. He’s so young... How could he have such a disease... It can’t be, it can’t be...”

”Doctor, you must have made a mistake. This can’t be my son’s report. Please check again...”

Li Kaiping kept pounding on the chair, his eyes red with intensity.

”My hair? He’s so young, AIDS... This isn’t right, this can’t be right.”

”I’ve thought about it for a long time, and never imagined it could be this. He’s still a senior in high school... I don’t understand.”

”AIDS...”

The viewers in the livestream room were stunned upon hearing these words from Li Kaiping.

Not about the mention of HIV, but the shock at Li Lang being so young!

On the other end of the phone, there was a brief silence before someone gently spoke:

”I understand your feelings. Please don’t be too upset. The child is still young and has a strong immune system. With timely medication, he can still enjoy life for a long time.”

”I will prescribe some medication to protect his liver, and it’s crucial to keep warm, even in summer, to prevent colds, and to avoid bacterial infections in the child...”

AIDS isn’t fatal; what’s deadly is how it can lower a person’s immunity, making even a common cold potentially lethal.

After all, AIDS medication can be very harmful to the liver.

Wang Daliu, standing nearby, rubbed his nose and took the phone, coughing softly:

”The clinical symptoms of tuberculosis are not the cause but rather the result of the HIV virus attacking the body’s immune cells. The child is likely in the early stages of transformation, which is why there hasn’t been a concentrated outbreak and the condition remains extremely concealed.”

”My suggestion is to communicate with the child thoroughly, identify the source of transmission, prevent further spread, and register in the city for treatment, as there are currently no better treatment options.”

”Don’t lose hope, maintaining a good mindset is crucial...”

How the call ended was no longer important.

Li Kaiping stared vacantly at Li Lang, then suddenly erupted, pulling out a belt and yelling, ”Tell me! What have you been learning at school? Do you know what this disease means?!!!”

Seeing Li Kaiping on the verge of losing control, Ning An sighed and, with the help of nearby incense burners, restrained him.

”The child is still young and uneducated. Given that this has already happened, let’s first get a hold of our mindset.”

”This disease is different; it can’t be cured...” Li Kaiping shook his head in despair, tears pooling in his eyes.

”Perhaps we should call the police. The child is so young; he must have been influenced by someone else!”

Someone among the nearby incense burners shouted.

Upon hearing this, Li Lang tugged hard at his cap, his body shaking and his head bowed even lower, still speechless.

Ning An watched the scene; even without prompting, it was clear that perhaps the cause and effect had been reversed.

But Li Kaiping seemed to have grabbed onto a lifeline, muttering, ”Yes! It definitely can’t be my son’s problem; someone must have misled him. Call the police, we have to call the police...”

Like a madman, Li Kaiping fumbled with his phone, his hands shaking too much to correctly dial the three numbers. He even dropped the phone.

Ning An sighed, picked up the phone, and handed over a prepared spare phone.

Li Kaiping looked gratefully at Ning An, dialed the number, and started lamenting:

”Officer, my son has been assaulted...”

Hiss!

An astonishing statement!

Although one can understand Li Kaiping’s feelings, this straightforward remark still touched people’s hearts.

”What a brutally honest statement, this father is a bit too candid.”

”Though it’s out of fatherly love, this approach might be hard for the child to accept.”

”Exactly, transmission doesn’t necessarily only happen through sexual activities, right? Even using shared washing machines at school can potentially spread it.”

The viewers in the livestream weighed in with various opinions.

Soon, the sound of police sirens was heard outside the temple.

The livestream viewers also heard it, each opening their eyes wide.

”No way, that was too fast, wasn’t it?”

”From the call to now, it’s been less than seven or eight minutes. Did the police have a setup right at the mountain base?”

”Kudos to the speed of Dragon Country.”

Seeing the barrage of comments, Ning An’s lips curled into a smile.

Did they really think Changchun Temple’s relationship with the officials’ family was built for nothing?

In no time, the police officers who received the report arrived at the temple entrance.

Seeing the large characters ”Changchun Temple” hanging above, the leading officer took a deep breath.

Even though he hadn’t personally visited this temple, he was long aware of its stories.

If he remembered correctly, many significant cases involving murderers, human traffickers, etc., were discovered here.

Could this Changchun Temple be some Grotto Heaven Blessed Land?

”Officer Xiaoli, didn’t your master come today?”

From afar, Ning An spotted the leading officer.

It was Captain Wang’s old apprentice.

”My master had something earlier this morning and hasn’t returned yet, or else I wouldn’t have come...”

Officer Xiaoli chuckled wryly and began approaching while asking, ”Who made the report? Was it the child?”

”Officer, it was me!”

Li Kaiping hurried over, almost knelt in front of him.

”Comrade, comrade, please stand up, let’s talk calmly...”

Officer Xiaoli almost panicked, fortunately reacting quickly due to his youth, and managed to brace Li Kaiping’s knee just in time.

Then, using all his strength, with veins bulging on his forehead, he barely got him back up.

”Daoist Ning? This is...”

Officer Xiaoli, panting heavily, looked puzzledly at Ning An, thinking it couldn’t have been a beating.

”I am broadcasting live the whole time; stop giving me that look.”

Ning An directly showed the video he had recorded during the livestream.

”This is hilarious, the officer probably got bewildered, almost had to remove his uniform right after arriving.”

”I can testify! There’s definitely no such thing as forced confession here, hahaha.”

”We shouldn’t arrest Brother Sect Leader; even if we do, he should at least reveal how he communicates with the Patriarch...”

Watching the displayed video, Officer Xiaoli slapped his forehead.

He roughly understood the entire sequence of events.

However.

There were now two points that needed confirming.

Immediately, Officer Xiaoli looked at Li Lang, softly asking:

”Child, did your brother say if you were willing at the time, or were you forced?”

Li Lang kept his head down, his expression hidden.

Officer Xiaoli wasn’t annoyed, asking again:

”At that time... were you already of age?”

Li Lang bit his lips tightly, saying nothing, but Li Kaiping couldn’t help but respond:

”He started school a year early, even after finishing his first year of university, he’s still far from reaching the threshold of 18!”

Hearing this, Officer Xiaoli felt his already tense heart sink completely.

The case needed to be thoroughly escalated!
