Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 34: Chapter 28: Organization Members

”It’s just a Ninth Grade Demon Spirit.”

Such words can’t be described as mere arrogance; if people knew, they’d probably think Lin Feng had gone mad.

Yesterday was the Awakening Day, aside from Ye Qiu, who else is qualified to say such a thing.

Gao Hai and Yang Fan stayed silent, merely staring blankly at Lin Feng.

”I feel that with my Soul Power, I can refine even higher-ranked Demon Spirits, like those on the Earth Chart. I originally captured a Wind-Fire Mad Lion from the Earth Chart, but its attribute wasn’t suitable for me.” Lin Feng said earnestly.

This time, even Yang Fan was shocked!

Did he hear wrong, just a Ninth Grade Demon Spirit?

Just?

Why does this sound so off?

He wants to refine a Demon Spirit from the Earth Chart, did he hear that wrong?

Probably not!

Although hard to believe, the two didn’t heavily doubt the truth of Lin Feng’s words either.

Such a lie wouldn’t stand the test of time, what good would it do him to deceive them?

Unless Lin Feng was truly mad.

”No wonder when I looked at you before, you weren’t at all dejected or saddened.”

After the shock subsided, Gao Hai seemed to suddenly realize.

He finally understood why Lin Feng was calm throughout, even when Ya Ge’s family treated him that way on Awakening Day, he remained unfazed, even with a hint of disdain at the corners of his mouth.

Even today after the breakup, Lin Feng was very composed.

So this is the confidence behind it all!

Ya Ge is merely a Body Cultivator of Sixth Rank, having fused with an Eighth Grade Enchanting Butterfly, while Lin Feng is a Body Cultivator of Seventh Rank, and even disdains a Ninth Grade Demon Spirit, aiming to refine a Demon Spirit from the Earth Chart.

Initially, Gao Hai was angry at Ya Ge’s reality, but now, he’s not anymore.

At this moment, Gao Hai finally believed that it was Lin Feng who proposed the breakup.

”Brother Feng, since you can refine an Earth Chart Demon Spirit, why didn’t you tell Ya Ge?” Gao Hai asked.

”For her, I hid my talent, hid my strength.”

Lin Feng sighed, unable to hide the desolation in his eyes: ”I originally wanted to say, but never thought...”

Gao Hai patted Lin Feng on the shoulder in comfort, but soon became puzzled again: ”Hiding your talent, what do you mean?”

Yang Fan also stared at Lin Feng, not understanding.

”Don’t you think I’m very strong today?” Lin Feng asked.

”More than strong, you’re explosively strong, taking on six alone, you’re probably unrivaled in the Body Cultivation Realm.” Gao Hai nodded in agreement.

In the past, Lin Feng was known as a madman, and no one dared to provoke him easily, not because of his strength, but because he was ruthless and crazy in fights.

But today, Lin Feng won purely on strength.

Under the gaze of Gao Hai and Yang Fan, Lin Feng’s expression was somewhat bitter: ”For years, I’ve been suppressing my cultivation speed.”

”Because we once promised to attend the same university.”

”Otherwise, with my talent, I would be way beyond Body Cultivation Rank Seven by now, at least Body Cultivation Rank Nine!”

The more Lin Feng spoke, the more shocked Gao Hai and Yang Fan became. They automatically envisioned vivid images in their minds from Lin Feng’s words.

A young man, for the sake of the girl next door he grew up with, to be better together, originally a genius, deliberately suppressed his cultivation speed, just to avoid making her feel inferior and to accompany her.

A young man, who failed on Awakening Day, didn’t even get a chance to explain, only to be met with his girlfriend’s strange look and cold indifference, heartbreakingly calm yet resolutely breaking up.

Due to an unexpected fight, the young man showcased his formidable fighting technique, easily defeating an enemy stronger than himself.

Fearing retaliation, the young man decided to form his own Martial Arts Club, thus revealing his talent.

”Brother Feng, Ya Ge doesn’t deserve you.” Gao Hai said, suppressing his inner excitement.

”Brother Feng, from today on, I’ll call you Brother Feng too. I’ve never admired anyone from birth until now, you’re the first.” Yang Fan said with a hint of admiration in his eyes.

Claiming to be Jianghu All-known, his strength wasn’t particularly strong, only a Body Cultivator Fifth Rank, but he was a very proud person, with clear plans for his future. Being a powerful Martial Artist wasn’t his only goal.

He believed that even if he didn’t become a powerful Martial Artist, the future was still boundless.

Even as the first in the school year, in his eyes, it’s merely about stronger talent and background.

But today, he was impressed.

At Jiangxin First Middle School, he had seen many love stories, and today he witnessed the most romantic one. The only regret was the female lead’s lackluster performance.

Although he still found it unbelievable, as he witnessed firsthand, Lin Feng’s fighting technique was incredibly strong, even beyond description.

Just in terms of fighting technique alone, even their Martial Arts teacher may not be as good as Lin Feng.

With his fighting technique, even being just Body Cultivation Rank Seven, Lin Feng could easily enter the top hundred of the school year, yet he always hovered around the five hundred mark.

Before today, Lin Feng had never showcased his fighting technique.

If not for the breakup, he might have never revealed his talent.

Lin Feng’s talent was one thing, but it was his restraint that he admired the most.

Just to prevent his girlfriend from feeling inferior and to attend the same university, he actually hid his talent for so many years.

Although he thought it was a bit foolish and juvenile.

But there was no denying, Lin Feng’s willpower was incredibly strong.

This kind of restraint even made him feel fearful.

During three years of high school, Lin Feng was in the same class as him, but Lin Feng never showed any signs of being a genius, and no one ever saw through him.

This kind of disguise, if it were him, perhaps he could maintain it for a day, a week, or even a month, but definitely not for a year.

And the quality of talent, which is the speed of cultivation, can be seen from junior high school, meaning Lin Feng maintained it for nearly six years.

He couldn’t imagine; is this something a student could achieve?

If it were him, he’d probably want everyone to know he was a genius.

Vanity and attention, these are things all students can’t resist.

Seeing Yang Fan and Gao Hai deeply believe in the lie he crafted, Lin Feng felt a little guilty.

Establishing the Martial Arts Club was his plan. If this plan succeeds, his subsequent plans can be smoothly implemented.

Within two months, he must refine the Nightmare, which he simply couldn’t complete alone.

The memories in his mind could help him make money, but some plans required capital, which he didn’t have. Even if he succeeded, he had no means to protect this money, and more likely than not, it would be robbed, and if unlucky, his life wouldn’t be safe. Lin Feng didn’t want to take this risk.

Therefore, he needed to create an organization to help him complete it, and he wouldn’t have to worry about the results being stolen.

To create an organization and be the boss, one needs either a background or strength.

Lin Feng had no background, so he needed to prove his strength, which was his potential.

Although today’s display of power shocked many, in the eyes of the public, his talent wasn’t considered outstanding, and he was destined to have no future as a Demon Spirit Master.

This was also the reason why Mo Xun dared to threaten him, knowing he couldn’t defeat him.

Lin Feng needed a reason to make everyone believe he was an unparalleled genius.

And this reason, as he said, was for the Song of Solomon, bitterly suppressing his talent.

It just so happened that he failed on the Awakening Day, coupled with a breakup at this crucial node, adding a touch of credibility to this reason. Even if it’s somewhat far-fetched, as long as he displays talent, this exaggerated reason would be confirmed.

This was also in preparation for refining the Nightmare.

Once the Nightmare was refined, his cultivation talent would be considered a Demon Fiend. If his cultivation speed suddenly became too fast, something unusual would definitely be suspected by everyone.

Lin Feng didn’t yet have the power to withstand others’ scrutiny.

Although this might be a bit unfair to the Song of Solomon, this was the most credible reason Lin Feng could think of.

”Yang Fan, would you like to join my Martial Arts Club?”

In Lin Feng’s view, Yang Fan was a talent. This guy was known as Jianghu All-known, with the most well-informed news.

”Brother Feng, I am willing.”

Yang Fan immediately agreed without thinking. Besides his acknowledgment of Lin Feng and today’s kindness, a main reason was for his club.

His Jianghu News Agency couldn’t develop and grow due to a lack of background; many plans couldn’t be realized. After being beaten by Ji Yu and others, he could only ask members to endure silently because he knew his club couldn’t withstand any destruction.

If he had Lin Feng as a support, his Jianghu News Agency would surely rise.

Yang Fan’s agreement was within Lin Feng’s expectations.

”I ask you, in school, aside from Mo Xun’s Elite Martial Arts Club, do we have any members who can resist their forces?” Lin Feng asked.

”There are, in Jiangxin Middle School with a student body of 300,000, many are hidden experts. Some may not have exceptional talents but have extraordinary backgrounds; even Mo Xun and his group wouldn’t easily provoke them.”

Yang Fan thought for a moment and then continued, ”However, those people only care about their own strength and the universities they can attend. Even if you are exceptionally talented, ranked first in the school, those people won’t pay attention to you, nor will they waste time joining your Martial Arts Club.”

As far as he knew, the Elite Martial Arts Club was created by Mo Xun in his first year of high school merely for forming gangs and fighting. Later, more and more children from aristocratic families joined. After three years of development, there were 37 core members. Some of their families were wealthy merchants and consortia, while others were large families. It seemed like the power reached the sky, even starting to recruit members and having so-called club fees.

A monthly club fee of over a million seemed like a lot, but was simply for the 37 core members to eat and drink.

Ultimately, it was just a Martial Arts Club among high school students.

In the eyes of school leaders, it was just a children’s game.

If something really happens, talk of loyalty would go out the window, and in times of crisis, everyone would fend for themselves. The parents behind them wouldn’t get involved.

Yang Fan shared his thoughts with Lin Feng, hoping to dissuade him, but the latter showed no disappointment, and even had a slight smile on his lips.

”As expected, just as I guessed.”

Lin Feng was delighted in his heart; indeed, he hadn’t misjudged Yang Fan. Although this guy’s talent wasn’t remarkable, his ability to gather information was indeed top-notch.

The target for the organization members was set, next it would be on him as the leader to prove himself.

As for Yang Fan’s issue, it was merely a matter of interest binding.

The memories in his mind were the interest; with the support of the Martial Arts Club, he could turn it into money and resources. When there was interest binding, combined with his increasing strength, everyone would be firmly tied to a single war chariot, and with the deterrence of the Martial Arts Club members, he wouldn’t have to worry about anyone coveting and forcibly seizing it.

That way, facing any forces in Jiang City, he would have confidence.

And this was just the first link in his plan.

In his plan, his Martial Arts Club would gradually grow stronger. As everyone matured, this little Martial Arts Club would gradually transform, evolving into a great company, a large conglomerate!
