Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

However, even though they looked at me with these strange looks, that didn’t stop them from approaching me in the end.

It seemed that they were still interested in me because of the things that they’ve heard about me.

So they wanted to see if they could get closer to me.

Of course, I knew that the reason for all of this was because they wanted to gain some benefits from me.

In this world, the only thing that could move people were their own benefits.

If they didn’t stand to gain something from their actions, most people wouldn’t go out of their way to do something. It was only when they had something to gain that they would take action.

That was what they wanted with me.

Or rather, it was something that I possessed that they wanted.

”I’ve heard that you were able to tame some more wyverns recently. Even if you have been developing quite quickly, it doesn’t seem likely that you would be able to take care of all those wyverns. I was wondering if you would be willing to work together with me to take care of those wyverns?”

The moment that one person mentioned this, it was as if a fuse had been lit.

There was no going back once that fuse was lit, the barrel was about to explode.

That was that once these people smelled the chum in the water, they didn’t hold back as they started discussing this matter.

It was clear that all of them were interested in getting wyverns of their own.

With the way that they said this, I could see the greed that was in their eyes.

In a way, they were similar to the nobles that I dealt with before.

All of them had greed in their eyes when they talked to me, including the nobles that were from my own Kite Kingdom.

But then again that was how it was with humans.

They cared about themselves and that was what drove them.

Different from the nobles was that these merchants and officers of the military weren’t as restrained. Whereas they would be more hesitant to do things like this if they were in a noble society, they didn’t have the same restraint here.

There was no hesitation in their words as they asked for the wyverns.

It reached a certain point where it almost felt like they were demanding the wyverns from me.

But I didn’t say a single thing even though they kept talking.

Instead, I just looked at them with eyes filled with disdain.

These people circling me like sharks that smelled blood in the water, naturally I wouldn’t give them a single thing. From the beginning, it wasn’t as if I had a good relationship with the Democratic Union, so it wasn’t as if I would even consider such a thing.

But even then, it didn’t seem like they were planning to give up.

Eventually, it reached a point where it was causing a commotion.

After all, with all of these people gathered, it was hard not to attract attention.

All of them looked at me while they were talking, as if they were just waiting for what they wanted.

But I didn’t give in to any of them.

The popes noticed this as well and stepped forward to help me, but there wasn’t much that they could do with all of these people gathered.

The people that were able to come to such a banquet in the first place were all those that were at the top of the Democratic Union. And since they were popes of the Holy Council, they had to restrain themselves to a certain extent.

”Alright, that’s enough of that.”

It was only when this voice rang out that the merchants and military officers finally stopped crowding around me.

The moment that this voice rang out, it was as if they all suddenly realized something before backing away from me. It seemed that this voice had quite the influence on them that they immediately reacted to it.

And it was for a good reason that they stopped.

The one that spoke was clearly an important person.

After all, they were completely surrounded by fully armed soldiers.

Even though this was a banquet to welcome the delegation of the Holy Empire, this person came with fully armed soldiers. And even then, there wasn’t a single person that actually said anything about this.

After all, this person’s safety was the most important thing.

As for who this person was, it was naturally the president of the Democratic Union.

In a delegation that contained two of the popes from the Holy Council, this level of hospitality was needed.

But the way that he suddenly appeared like this…

I looked at him with a bitter smile.

Could you have made it more obvious?

It was clear that you gave the order for these people to cause a commotion before coming out. You even waited for them to cause a large enough commotion that it would have the best effect.

For someone that ruled over this Democratic Union, this move didn’t really seem that intelligent.

It was hard to imagine how someone like this was able to take over the Democratic Union in the first place…

But it wasn’t as if there was anything to gain from exposing him like this, so I just went along with it.

After he stopped everyone, the president first greeted me before the two popes. After the greetings, he said, ”I’m sure that you’re tired after your journey. Shall we go into a private room and have a chat?”

I gave a simple nod before following him.

The two popes just followed me.

So being led by the president, we arrived at a room at the side of the banquet hall.

But after sitting down, there was a silence that filled the room.

He didn’t say anything and we didn’t say anything, we just sat there looking at each other.
