Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

Though she said this, I didn’t really hear it since I was in a daze from the sight that was in front of me.

At most, I had expected to see only five gods since I had only ever come in contact with five gods before.

But that wasn’t the case as there were many gods that were spread out in front of me.

I couldn’t see any of their appearances, but I knew that they were different gods than the ones that I had met before.

That was because I found the gods that I had met before standing there amongst them as well.

It wasn’t just a dozen gods either, there were several dozen gods that were present. It seemed like the number of gods that were here even reached the triple digits.

I couldn’t understand why there were so many gods gathered here in the first place.

So I eventually turned to Solista to ask, ”What is going on here?”

She gave a sympathetic nod before saying, ”Un, I’m sure that you’re wondering about what happened before, so let me tell you about that.”

But before she could, I shook my head and pointed at all the gods that were gathered here to say, ”No, before that, explain why there are so many gods that are gathered here. I don’t think that there’s a reason for all of them to be here, right?”

Solista turned around to look at all of the gods and then said, ”Well, that’s very simple. They are here because they are related to what I’m about to explain and what happened to you. But to understand why they are here, I’ll have to explain something else first.”

I raised a brow to look at her after hearing this, but eventually I gave a simple nod in response.

Solista didn’t hesitate as she went into her story.

It turned out that this was a story about the one that controlled the corruption energy, the one that was the mastermind behind everything that happened so far.

It was the one that was known as Destruction as the apostle had called it.

This was a story that was even related to the very beginning of this world.

The one that created this world was the Creation God, but before the creation of this world, there were two forces that once existed. That was the force of creation and the force of destruction.

They were supposed to be balanced since from nothing came everything and everything eventually returned to nothing.

They were supposed to be the two sides of the same coin.

It was just that the force of destruction wasn’t as tame as it should have been.

”Destruction wanted to destroy everything and return everything to nothing. It even wanted to destroy the Creation God and stop the force of creation so that only nothing would remain.”

From her story, I was already starting to understand what this meant.

At the same time, I couldn’t help feeling that this was a bit of a cliche story.

After all, Demon Kings, Demon Gods, Gods of Destruction, those were the common devices that were used by novels as final bosses…

It seemed that this world was the same.

But it also didn’t make sense since there wasn’t such a thing in this world when this world was still a game.

Perhaps it was supposed to be a future expansion?

”The Creation God had no choice but to work with the other gods that they created to suppress the power of the Destruction God. In the end, the Destruction God was sealed with the power of everyone here.”

”So you’re saying that the seal has been breaking over time and the Destruction God’s revival is imminent?” I suddenly cut in to ask this.

Solista gave a nod before saying, ”That’s right. We had to use the power of the Destruction God to keep the world in balance. If we completely seal destruction, then everything will never be able to return to nothing and eventually the world will collapse in on itself. We used the seal to draw on the power of the Destruction God to maintain the balance and the Destruction God took advantage of this to break free.”

I shook my head with a sigh after hearing this.

”Cliched, this is just too much of a cliche story.”

That was the only thing that I could think of, but I didn’t say it out loud.

Though with the awkward silence that followed, I could already guess that the gods had listened to my thoughts.

I kept forgetting that the gods had the ability to read minds…

With an awkward cough, I said, ”Then you’re saying that I’m the chosen one to lead the battle against the forces of Destruction. That’s what the corruption energy is, right?”

Solista gave another nod to confirm this before saying, ”Yes, you are the hero that has been chosen this time. That is why all of the gods are here since the prophecy requires you to bring together the power of all the gods to go against the forces of Destruction.”

Then in a softer voice, she said, ”Though it might be cheating a bit to bring them to you like this, it’s the least I can do since I’m the one that put you in this situation.”

”You’re the one that put me in this situation?” I immediately picked up on what she said.

As soon as I said this, it might have been an illusion, but I saw that Solista seemed to have trembled.

It was almost as if she was a child that had her hand caught in the cookie jar.

I immediately narrowed my eyes to look at her when she gave this reaction.

After a long silence, she finally said, ”Alright, it was because of me that you were chosen as the hero. It wasn’t just because you came from another world, it’s really because of the Mark of God that you were chosen.”
