A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1025: Chapter 1025: Best Supporting Actress!

Tang Miao looked at the woman standing beside Lin Jiamu in the photograph and suddenly sat up.

The light from the phone hit her face, her complexion as pale as a ghost.

How could it be her, wasn’t she already dead?

Tang Miao suppressed the excitement in her heart and continued to browse the photos before finally reading the content below.

It wasn’t her, it was a girl named Mu Yan.

But, they look so much alike.

She suddenly remembered something, that woman seemed to have a daughter.

Ha, is it that anything that’s hers, both mother and daughter won’t leave it alone?!

At the thought of this, a sense of unwillingness surged in her heart.

On Monday, Mu Yan received a call from Long Xiao; he had arrived in Beijing, but things weren’t going well. The few elders who originally followed his boss were no longer in Beijing, all had moved abroad.

Currently, he already knows their addresses abroad.

Mu Yan knows that if they’re abroad, a round trip would take quite a bit of time.

But as long as she can find evidence, she’s willing to wait.

In early November, the Golden Hair Awards ceremony arrived.

This time Mu Yan received two nominations, one for Best Supporting Actress for ”Cold Night,” and another for Best Actress for ”Lone Eagle.”

This time Wang Linjia is nominated for Best Actress for ”Cold Night,” and the two agreed to walk the red carpet together.

While walking the red carpet, Mu Yan’s dress was stepped on, and she nearly fell.

Fortunately, she wasn’t wearing a strapless dress, otherwise, the dress would have slipped off, leading to a big embarrassment.

Wang Linjia held onto Mu Yan, turned around, and her expression soured.

Were it not for the cameras, she would have cursed out loud.

”Sorry, I didn’t mean to.” Zhou Lifen in a red dress, her fiery red lips open, had a guilty look.

Wang Linjia snorted coldly in her heart, not on purpose, who would believe that!

She helped Mu Yan lift up her dress and walked with her to the signature board to sign.

Zhou Lifen acted like nothing happened, turned back to face the media cameras, and showed a perfectly timed smile.

After signing, Wang Linjia saw Zhou Lifen still lingering on the red carpet and sneered softly, ”This isn’t the Venice Film Festival, who is she showing off for by staying on the red carpet?”

”Maybe she hasn’t been in the limelight for a long time; miss today, she’d miss the chance,” Mu Yan said in a calm tone.

”I think she’s trying to hitch onto you for publicity,” Wang Linjia mocked, ”This woman’s tactics are so predictably boring.”

Mu Yan chuckled, ”Forget about her, let’s go inside.”

”Hmm.”

As the most prestigious award ceremony in the country, the evening was truly star-studded, and of course, stars herein refer to veterans and legendary actors from the acting world, not young idols.

Many attended as judges, while others were special guests.

Mu Yan was attending the Golden Hair Awards ceremony for the second time, the first time she was completely new and extremely nervous walking the red carpet.

A year later, arriving here again, she no longer felt small, not that she’s incredibly strong now but because she has confidence that she will walk up the podium one day; it’s her goal to strive for.

Although nominated for two awards, Mu Yan wasn’t confident in winning.

Her scenes in ”Lone Eagle” weren’t many, and the highlights of the whole film were all on the male lead; her nomination was probably a token of encouragement because the box office of ”Lone Eagle” broke fifty billion.

In fact, this time’s Best Actress did go to a literary film actor.

Wang Linjia has been nominated numerous times without winning, she’s used to it, having a close friend beside her to accompany, she’s not feeling bad.

However, Mu Yan didn’t leave empty-handed; when the Best Actress winner was announced, her name appeared on the screen.

Mu Yan—”Cold Night.”
