A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 539: Chapter 539: This is my husband, Jiang Jingheng!

Mu Yan suddenly announced that she was married, which made the atmosphere in the private room turn heavy.

Lin Jiamu lowered his head, not sure what he was thinking, his handsome face was extremely gloomy, looking a bit frightening.

Mu Yan looked at Qin Xi for help, wondering what to do.

Qin Xi spread her hands, indicating she was helpless to assist.

In fact, she felt Lin Jiamu deserved this; what had he been doing all this time?

If he had pursued Mu Yan earlier, perhaps Jiang Jingheng wouldn’t even be in the picture now.

Mu Yan poured a glass of water for Lin Jiamu and said, ”Rest assured, he’s a very reliable person.”

Lin Jiamu looked into her clear eyes, was this her way of comforting him?

But she couldn’t possibly understand his pain.

He suddenly smiled, ”I’m just really surprised. You’re married, that’s a good thing. Congratulations.”

Mu Yan saw that his mood had brightened and breathed a sigh of relief, laughing, ”Thank you!”

Lin Jiamu looked at Qin Xi, his expression ambiguous, ”It seems like you knew about this.”

Qin Xi felt her scalp tingle; he didn’t dare do anything to Mu Yan, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t vent his anger on her.

She cleared her throat, ”I knew earlier than you. I felt that this was something Mu Yan should tell you, so I didn’t say anything.”

Lin Jiamu glanced at her, then looked back at Mu Yan, frowning slightly, ”So, you didn’t want to tell me?”

”No!” Mu Yan quickly said, ”I just didn’t know how to tell you.”

Lin Jiamu had always been very attentive to her affairs. At that time, her relationship with Jiang Jingheng had just started to become stable, and actually, she was quite insecure, so she naturally didn’t dare let him know.

Seeing her helpless appearance, Lin Jiamu didn’t have the heart to pressure her.

The deed was done, and he could only accept it.

However, he was determined to see what kind of man she had fallen for.

Although the atmosphere wasn’t as tense as before, everyone harbored their own thoughts.

About half an hour later, Jiang Jingheng called.

”You’ve arrived, huh? Should I come out to meet you?”

”Oh, okay, I’ll wait for you to come over.” Mu Yan hung up the phone and looked at Qin Xi and Lin Jiamu, ”He’s here.”

Lin Jiamu sat up straight, eyes fixed on the door.

Mu Yan saw his vigilant appearance, then looked at Qin Xi and suddenly smiled.

Qin Xi saw her carefree demeanor and felt even more sympathy for Lin Jiamu.

She assumed Lin Jiamu wanted to check out her husband as a friend, but in reality, he didn’t want to be outshone by a rival in love.

About five minutes later, the door was pushed open, Jiang Jingheng walked in, dressed in a shirt and trousers, holding a jacket in hand, his handsome face maintaining its usual aloofness.

Mu Yan turned her head and seeing it was him, immediately got up and walked over, grabbing his hand and asking, ”You’re here.”

”Yes.” Jiang Jingheng looked at her, his eyes softened noticeably.

He glanced at Qin Xi and Lin Jiamu, nodding slightly, ”Sorry to have kept you waiting.”

Although it was a routine gesture, when he did it, it exuded elegance.

”It’s alright, we only waited a bit, Young Master Jiang, please sit.” Qin Xi said with a smile.

Lin Jiamu scrutinized the young, handsome man with an aura of nobility in front of him, feeling he looked somewhat familiar, as if he had seen him somewhere before.

Jiang Jingheng noticed Lin Jiamu’s scrutinizing gaze, looked over, and casually said, ”I’ve already met Miss Qin, but I don’t think I’ve met this gentleman.”

Mu Yan immediately said, ”This is my good friend, Lin Jiamu.”

She then looked at Lin Jiamu and said, ”This is my husband, Jiang Jingheng.”
