A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 516: Chapter 516: The Opportunity Has Arrived!

Mu Yan thought of the first time she met Jiang Jingheng; he knew everything about her.

She didn’t expect him to investigate her so thoroughly, even those trivial matters were not overlooked.

She frowned and said, ”Since you know I painted it, you should know it’s not worth much.”

Jiang Jingheng glanced at her, ”Do you think I can tolerate my wife’s work being collected by another man?”

Mu Yan suddenly didn’t know what to say; this man’s pettiness was truly like a needle’s eye.

It’s really no surprise that he would mind.

Jiang Jingheng caressed her cheek and said softly, ”Wife, when will you paint a picture for me?”

Mu Yan was stunned for a moment, looked at him, somewhat troubled, ”I... I can’t paint.”

”Hmm?”

She lowered her head, instinctively rubbing her right hand against her left wrist, and said softly, ”My hand can’t paint anymore.”

Jiang Jingheng took her left hand, gently massaging her wrist, and asked, ”Wasn’t that tie clip design draft you drew last time?”

Mu Yan pressed her lips together, ”I did draw it, but I used my less dominant right hand, it took a lot of effort.”

”Do you want to paint?” he asked.

”No.” Mu Yan shook her head.

She felt that this sounded wrong, feared he might misunderstand, looked up at him and explained, ”It’s not that I don’t want to paint for you, I just don’t want to paint at all anymore.”

”I understand.” Jiang Jingheng’s handsome face was extremely gentle, ”If you don’t want to paint, then don’t. We can talk about it when you want to.”

Mu Yan felt that she wouldn’t ever want to paint again in this lifetime, but she didn’t want to disappoint him.

She pressed her lips together and replied, ”Okay.”

”Does Ning Shishen know you’re the author of that painting?” Jiang Jingheng suddenly asked.

Mu Yan shook her head, ”I don’t know, I haven’t told him.”

However, Ning Shishen seemed to be quite persistent about her paintings, or rather, accurately, about sunflowers.

Why does everyone around her like sunflowers so much?

Seeing Mu Yan’s absent-mindedness, Jiang Jingheng asked, ”What are you thinking about?”

Mu Yan snapped back to reality and shook her head, ”Nothing.”

Jiang Jingheng didn’t ask further, pulling her hand to sit down.

”Let’s have breakfast first.”

”Okay.”

Mu Yan sat down and, holding a spoon, first served Jiang Jingheng a bowl of pumpkin porridge.

Jiang Jingheng used chopsticks to pick up a crystal bun for her.

The two went back and forth, making for a very warm breakfast.

Soon after breakfast, Jiang Jingheng went to the company.

Meanwhile, Mu Yan had an appointment with the head of a charity organization, firstly to make a donation, although she didn’t win anything in the auction yesterday, the amount she intended to donate wouldn’t be any less; secondly, she also wanted to inquire about heart-related matters.

At the Zhao Family Mansion, Zhao Jia Min received numerous calls from ”sisters” early in the morning, all praising her kindness for spending twenty million on an album and a diamond bracelet.

”I can’t help it; our Old Gao likes to do charity, I just go along with him.”

”Okay, see you next time.”

Zhao Jia Min hung up the phone, and the smile on her face instantly disappeared.

On the surface, these people were all complimenting her, but behind her back, they were probably laughing at how she got conned by a little star.

Two million isn’t much, but what she lost was face.

Zhao Xiyue came out of the kitchen and saw Zhao Jia Min holding a phone with a look of contemplation and asked, ”Sister, why does your face look so bad early in the morning, who made you angry?”

Zhao Jia Min glanced at the thermos she was holding and asked, ”Where are you going?”

”To visit a patient,” Zhao Xiyue said casually.

Zhao Jia Min slightly frowned, ”Haven’t all the compensations been made? Is it necessary for you to send soup and water every day?”

”It’s just on the way, alright, I need to go.” Zhao Xiyue didn’t want to hear her sister say more, grabbed her bag from the sofa, and went out to find a taxi.

Watching her leaving figure, Zhao Jia Min frowned slightly, ”I saw Mu Yan at the charity party last night.”

Zhao Xiyue seemed not to hear this and continued to walk forward.

”I saw her with Ning Shishen, Xiyue, your chance has come.”
