A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 491: Chapter 491: Career Start

Zhao Xiyue running a red light and hitting someone caused quite a stir.

Although she immediately called an ambulance and reported it to the police after the accident, the online criticism was still rampant.

Zhao Xiyue herself also posted on Weibo after the incident, stating that she would not evade responsibility, which won back the hearts of quite a few fans.

However, no matter what, this incident greatly damaged her reputation.

Not long after, it was revealed online that Zhao Xiyue was urged to leave the cast of ”Deep Palace Secret History” due to the car accident.

The online controversy was constant, but Mu Yan didn’t pay much attention.

Mainly because by mid-April, her flower shop had opened.

The location was chosen by Jiang Jingheng for her. It wasn’t downtown, but not quite suburban either, surrounded by some universities and office buildings.

This area was a thoroughfare for office workers and students, with convenient traffic, and the prospects seemed good.

When Mu Yan was about to open the flower shop, Jiang Jingheng had already been working on it.

Mu Yan originally wanted to rely on her own ability, but according to Jiang Jingheng, they are husband and wife, inseparable, so she accepted it calmly.

On the opening day of the flower shop, Mu Yan personally attended the ribbon-cutting.

She didn’t notify the media about this event, yet reporters came after hearing the news.

Mu Yan was very worried that the media would exaggerate the publicity, leading customers to have too high expectations, and if the flowers in her store couldn’t satisfy them, it would ruin her reputation.

Today’s media are most eager to expose negative news about celebrities, because that’s what grabs public attention.

Song Cheng’an also came to support Mu Yan, and seeing her worried expression, he asked, ”Just opened the store, why the long face?”

Mu Yan expressed her concerns.

Song Cheng’an laughed, ”Nowadays, many celebrities are opening stores. Have you heard anyone casually mention Li Yushen’s hot pot restaurant or Wang Linjia’s fashion company? Just consider it free publicity.”

Mu Yan understood his point, these news are only temporary, as long as she does her part well.

”Okay.”

After the ribbon-cutting ended, Mu Yan demonstrated flower arranging on the spot.

She opened this shop not only to sell flowers but also to sell floral art, so the pricing is relatively high.

Under the camera, Mu Yan calmly trimmed the flower stems and then placed them in the basket.

Her expression was serene, fully absorbed in her work.

Various colored flowers were skillfully arranged by her, blossoming with their own beauty in the basket.

About twenty minutes later, a flower basket was completed.

The roses were splendid, and other flowers surrounded them like stars around the moon, yet these other flowers also gained a fresh beauty in their presence.

”So beautiful!” Passersby exclaimed, clapping.

The reporters snapped photos of Mu Yan and the flower basket with their cameras.

Hearing the praises around her, some kind of emotion that was long buried in Mu Yan’s heart seemed to be awakened, and a sense of excitement and pride spontaneously arose within her.

Shortly afterwards, Qin Xi personally arrived.

She got out of the car, took off her sunglasses, and said, ”Boss, I’d like to order two flower baskets.”

Seeing it was Qin Xi, the passersby all took out their phones to take pictures.

Mu Yan smiled and asked, ”What kind of flower basket would this young lady like?”

Qin Xi replied earnestly, ”My good friend is opening a shop. Whatever kind of flower basket you think is suitable, that’s the kind I want.”

”Alright, please wait a moment.” Mu Yan chuckled lightly and began to make the flower baskets.

With Qin Xi backing her, the scene became even more lively, and Mu Yan received quite a few orders on the spot.

Busy as she was, Mu Yan lost track of time until she received a call from Jiang Jingheng and realized it was already noon.

And he was nearby, waiting to have lunch with her.
