A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 469: Chapter 469: Why doesn’t he like me!

Mu Yan turned her head and saw Lan Xi looking at her with tear-filled eyes, her face covered in tears, her makeup smudged from crying.

Her brows furrowed slightly as she asked, ”What’s wrong?”

Lan Xi bit her lip, shaking her head, restraining her tears from falling.

She tugged on Mu Yan and started walking back.

Mu Yan was a bit puzzled. Everything seemed fine, so why was she not allowed into the restroom?

Suddenly, she heard a woman’s suppressed moans coming from inside the restroom.

”Mmm, be gentle.”

No... it seemed there was also a heavy and deep voice mixed in.

Then there was the sound of the door vibrating, ”bang bang bang.”

Mu Yan turned her head towards the restroom door, her face full of surprise.

She wasn’t inexperienced and understood all too well what was happening.

Isn’t this a bit too much?!

Lan Xi dragged her all the way to the garden on the rooftop, where there were not many people.

Suddenly, she let go of Mu Yan and squatted down, bursting into tears.

From her reaction, Mu Yan knew who the man inside was, and she didn’t know how to comfort her in such a situation.

After she cried for a while, Mu Yan took out tissues from her bag and handed them to her, ”Keep crying, and your makeup will be completely ruined. You’ll definitely look ugly by then.”

”Ugly or not, no one cares anyways,” Lan Xi said defiantly and continued to cry.

”Do you want Ning Ze, Dong Le, and the others to see you looking so miserable?” Mu Yan asked.

She sighed, ”Just now, Jian Shaohan bullied Huahua and almost got beaten up by Ning Ze and the others.”

As Lan Xi heard this, her anger flared up. She raised her arm to wipe away her tears and got up to go back, ”Is Jian looking for trouble? How dare he bully Huahua, I’ll kill him!”

Her voice was hoarse from crying, and her emotions were so intense that she struggled to make a sound.

Mu Yan felt that Lan Xi was more lively and adorable at this moment than ever.

No matter how sad and upset she was, the first thing that came to her mind when hearing her sister was bullied was to stand up for her.

She grabbed Lan Xi’s arm and said, ”Alright, your Brother Jiang and the others have already warned him.”

Lan Xi’s whole demeanor relaxed, and she looked at Mu Yan, sadness washing over her again, ”Tell me, what’s wrong with me? Why doesn’t he like me?”

Mu Yan’s brows furrowed slightly, and she truly had no way to answer this question.

For example, Zhao Xiyue was perfect in every way, but Jiang Jingheng didn’t like her either.

She hesitated for a moment and said, ”Matters of the heart can’t be forced, I suppose.”

”But I just like him,” Lan Xi said, and started crying again, like a child, with tears and snot everywhere.

Mu Yan hurriedly took a tissue to help her wipe it away.

Suddenly, Lan Xi hugged her tightly and cried even harder.

Mu Yan held her tightly, gently patting her back.

At this moment, all she could offer was a comforting embrace.

In the restroom, a man and a woman came out of the stall one after the other.

The woman tidied her clothes in front of the mirror and, seeing no one around, called the man out.

Lu Hao came out and immediately wrapped his arms around her from behind.

He kissed her cheek, his hand caressing her waist.

”Come to my place tonight.”

”Stop it, I have to go home,” the woman broke free from his arms, taking out foundation to cover a red mark on her neck.

Lu Hao watched her, as her delicate and beautiful reflection in the mirror kept pulling up her collar. He let out a cold chuckle, ”Afraid of others finding out about us? Fine, I’ll just pretend I had a fling with a nobody.”

With that, he turned and walked out.

”Lu Hao!” the woman shouted in exasperation as she looked at his departing figure.

Unfortunately, Lu Hao was already gone.
