A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 177: Chapter 177: Is He the One You Like?

In the morning, Mu Yan was at the hospital reading the two scripts given to her by Song Cheng’an.

By lunchtime, just as she was about to eat, she received a phone call from Lian Jun; he was delivering food again.

Downstairs, Mu Yan took the bag Lian Jun handed over and instinctively asked, ”Has your young master eaten?”

As soon as she spoke, she regretted it a little.

Lian Jun smiled slightly, ”If the Young Madam wants to know, she can call the young master.”

Mu Yan forced a smile, ”Thank you.”

She carried the bag and turned to walk towards the entrance.

Lian Jun watched her leave and took out his phone to report the situation.

”Young master, the Young Madam might call soon to ask about your lunch.”

Of course, Mu Yan couldn’t possibly call Jiang Jingheng. Ever since she realized she might have feelings for him, she had been avoiding him like the plague.

She didn’t even understand when she started having feelings for him.

Was it when she fell from a height on set, and he rushed to her, looking anxious and reckless?

Or was it when he protected her from the acid attack in the parking lot?

Or perhaps, like many women, she was attracted to such a devil-may-care, handsome, and wealthy man?

She didn’t know.

”Sis, the food fell on the table.” Mu Chen’s displeased voice came to her ears,

Mu Yan snapped back to reality and glanced at the table, indeed, the mushroom she had just picked up had fallen.

She quickly grabbed a napkin to wipe the table clean.

Mu Chen looked at her with a peculiar expression, ”You’ve been distracted ever since you came back with the takeout. Do you have something on your mind?”

”No.” Mu Yan shook her head, ”Let’s eat.”

Mu Chen didn’t believe her words one bit but didn’t expose her either.

Mu Yan lowered her eyelids and told herself in her heart.

Feelings are fleeting; maybe tomorrow they will be gone.

She had no reason to be troubled by it; after all, she had admired Li Yushen before too.

But over time, after meeting him in person, it was just so-so.

After finishing the meal, Mu Yan continued reading the script.

At Shengyuan Group, in the CEO’s office, the senior executives who went in to report work felt that today’s boss had wild mood swings. In the morning, he was all sunshine, but by the afternoon, it was like heavy clouds had gathered.

The cold, angry voice in the office transmitted out, ”If you can’t solve such simple problems, what do I need you for?”

A group of senior executives left with a downcast look.

Shortly after, Jiang Jingheng shouted, ”Lian Jun.”

Lian Jun, who was standing outside the door, had a slight change in expression and felt his scalp tingle.

If he had known, he wouldn’t have made that call to the young master at noon.

Now, since the young master didn’t receive a caring call from his wife, he was venting his anger on them.

He walked into the office, looking at Jiang Jingheng’s cold, handsome face, feeling a bit uneasy, ”Young master, is there anything you need?”

Jiang Jingheng looked at him coldly, ”You’re getting bolder.” Daring to deceive him.

Lian Jun protested his innocence, ”Young master, the Young Madam genuinely cared for you at that time; I swear on it.”

Saying this, he made a swearing gesture.

Jiang Jingheng ignored him, lowered his eyelids, picked up his phone, and the interface displayed was Mu Yan’s Weibo.

Seeing something unknown, a light flashed in his light brown eyes, and the corner of his mouth suddenly curled up.

Lian Jun thought he might be seeing things; the young master was angry one moment and smiling the next. Could it be that he was bewitched?

In the afternoon, while Mu Yan was reading the script, she suddenly received a call from Qin Xi.

As she answered, she heard Qin Xi ask, ”Be honest, is the person you like the friend you mentioned in your Weibo?”

Mu Yan’s heart trembled slightly, how did she know?

She tentatively asked, ”Why do you say that?”

”Come on, if you two aren’t lovers, would he risk his life to save you? Tsk tsk tsk, now, so many people are clamoring for you to marry him and repay him with your life.”

Mu Yan, ”...”

What on earth is that all about?
