A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 157: Chapter 157: Troublesome Relatives (Part 2)

Mu Yan looked at Zheng Shufen and said coldly, ”I remember Auntie said that I’m not part of the Mu Family, not worthy of basking in your family’s glory, not worthy of living with you, and even my mom isn’t worthy of being buried in the Mu Family’s ancestral grave.”

Zheng Shufen’s expression changed slightly, quickly saying, ”Yanyan, at that time I was just confused, don’t take it to heart...”

”But I did take it to heart.” Mu Yan interrupted her.

She looked at the other three, ”I know why you’re here, but let me make it clear to you, no matter how much money I have, it has nothing to do with you, stop scheming after me!”

”Mu Yan, how can you talk like that, without our Mu Family, would you even be where you are today?” Mu Zhiran said unhappily.

Mu Yan replied coldly, ”I have what I have today thanks to Mu Chen’s father, not you guys.”

”Mu Chen’s father is gone, we’re his brothers and sisters-in-law; it’s only right for us to accept your repayment on his behalf,” Mu Zhizhong said with an air of righteousness.

Mu Yan almost laughed out of anger, how can there be such shameless people in this world.

If they question themselves, did they ever treat Mu Chen’s father as a brother? Did they ever treat Mu Chen as a nephew?

Just as she was about to retort, Mu Chen, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke up.

”If my dad were alive, he would never ask my sister to repay him.”

Zheng Shufen and the others’ expressions changed slightly, saying displeasedly, ”Chenchen, what nonsense are you talking about, have you forgotten who your family is.”

Mu Chen stiffened his neck and retorted, ”I’m not talking nonsense, if it weren’t for my sister and auntie, I’d be dead long ago. They are my real family, not you who are only after my dad’s property.”

”You bastard, biting the hand that feeds you, how could our Mu Family have someone like you,” Mu Zhiran said angrily.

Mu Yan was thoroughly enraged, quickly went to Mu Chen’s side, and shouted at Zheng Shufen and the others, ”Get out, you’re not welcome here.”

As long as she was around, she would never let Mu Chen be bullied.

”How can you speak like that!” Zheng Shufen was also infuriated and stopped pretending, ”Have you forgotten who fed and clothed you?”

At this moment, Mu Chen suddenly clutched his chest, looking in pain, and said, ”Sis, my chest feels tight, I can’t breathe.”

Mu Yan’s expression changed drastically, seeing Mu Chen’s slightly pale face, she said urgently, ”Chenchen, take a deep breath, I’ll go get a doctor right away.”

She had just turned around when her wrist was grabbed.

She turned her head and met Mu Chen’s eyes, he looked at her and said sadly, ”Sis, I feel terrible, am I going to die?”

Mu Yan squatted down and said in a deep voice, ”Don’t talk about dying, don’t say such things. You’ll be fine. How many times have I told you, don’t get angry, don’t get agitated, no matter how unpleasant things others say, pretend you didn’t hear them, otherwise if you die, can they bring you back?”

As soon as she said that, Zheng Shufen and the others’ faces went pale.

If Mu Chen were to die like this, would they blame it on them? Then arrest them and make them go to jail?

No, absolutely not.

The four of them exchanged glances, and Zheng Shufen said, ”I suddenly remembered there’s something at home, we should go now, Chenchen, take a good rest, don’t get agitated.”

”Yes, yes, we have something to attend to, we’re leaving now, Chenchen, we’ll come see you next time,” Wang Cuizhi followed up to say.

”Go, go.”

The four of them hustled out of the hospital room, disappearing without a trace.

Mu Chen looked towards the door, the corners of his mouth suddenly lifted, he turned his head to look at Mu Yan and said, ”Sis, they’re gone.”
