Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL]

The instant his finger touched the water zombie, his neck started to itch and gills appeared. Yue carefully touched it. Whenever the gill appeared out of nowhere, there were always bits and pieces of skin flaking off there.

With the ability to breathe underwater in his hands, he clicked on the button on his waterproof watch. It was the courtesy of our dear Fan Xui. He never leaves anywhere without it.

It had a smart watch function that survived the meteor’s radiation and also has a stopwatch. He started it and swam over to the pipe.

The flashlights they brought were not waterproof. He only had to make do with glow sticks.

It cast a green glow on the humongous pipe.

Yue carefully swam close. The mouth of the pipe was not submerged under the sand as the fake mechanic explained instead, it seemed clean.

”goo goooo~” the water zombie excitedly held his hands and pulled him into the pipe.

Inside, there was not even a small tinge of moss or anything. It was clean.

The zombie happily swam in, circled inside. ”goo...” it pointed to something on the other side.

Yue held up the glow stick. An enormous pair of eyes peered at him.

Startled, he swam away.

”goo, goo....” the zombie chased after him and held his hands again.

Yue fought its hold. ”There’s something dangerous in there!” his voice came out muffled and toned down.

”goooo.....” the zombie paused and pointed to the pipe. ”goo goo...”

”What on earth do you even mean? Do you want me to go there?”

The zombie nodded.

Yue shook his head. ”I can’t, there is a giant fish in there!”

”goo goooo...” the zombie’s voice vibrated in the water.

Sighing, Yue took out his sword.

Instantly, the zombie moved away with a vigilant look.

”I won’t hurt you. Just preparing myself to fight a huge suction vacuum.” He swam to the mouth of the pipe, gripping his sword in one hand and the glow stick in another.

The green light was not that strong enough, but it illuminated everything upfront. Even from a distance, he could see the huge watermelon-sized eyes.

He cautiously moved in. The creature did not show any signs of vigilance, its eyes looked dull.

”goo goo...’ the water zombie happily swam ahead and touched the eyes. ”goo..”

”huh?”

Within seconds, he watched the zombie bite into the eyes and crunch on it like sugar candy.

Yue just blinked at this. Upon closer look, he noticed the fish... was actually dead. The giant fish carcass was half-eaten. Its stomach was torn apart, and only its face and tail remained.

Its bones were a slight shade of ebony and pointy.

Yue tapped on one slightly. It was very hard. ’This must be the weapon this zombie used to kill that guy in that treatment plant... hmm interesting. He is using bones as weapons,’

In ancient times, Neanderthals also used bones, rocks, and sticks as weapons.

Somehow, this zombie reminded him of one.

Its brain was not that developed, but it seems to understand him. its ability to evolve is astounding.

If this continues, this zombie, no, this creature can have consciousness on its own soon.

”goo...” a huge round eye was shoved to his face.

Yue shook his head. ”Did you place it here?”

The water zombie tilted its head.

”No, you were hoarding it,” he shone the light closer. There were at least twenty goldfish carcasses. All of them were freshly caught. Only its stomach and eyes were eaten away.

The goldfish were already big in size. When shoved in a pipe this size, it completely clogged it.

’ah soo, you caused our water problem. Oh, buddy oh buddy...’ Yue glanced at the zombie, which was happily shoving off the pipe.

’Okay this is his home...even if I clean it out and start the machine, won’t he start to nest his fishes here again?’

That was a major problem. Before doing anything, he swam up to the surface to get suggestions from the others.

”Is everything okay down there?” Tian worriedly shouted.

”I’m great. But there is something I need help with. You see, the zombie has taken up the pipeline as his home. It’s hoarding a massive amount of fish there. I’m pretty sure even if I clean it now he will do it again.”

Fan frowned deeply. ”That is a problem. Can’t we re-home him?”

”In what?”

They both glanced around. ”That water truck!” Fan pointed to a water truck that was collapsed on its side.

”we can drown it. Maybe he will take it up as his new home,” Fan shouted back.

Yue glanced at his lover in awe. ’He’s a genius. Why didn’t I think of that?’

”goo...” the zombie tugged at his legs from below.

”I’m going to get you a new home, goo goo. Just wait here a bit,” he swam to the shore. Fan Xui immediately held his hands.

The gills went away like before.

Yue walked over to the overturned truck.

Then suddenly he paused. ’Wait, will I still have my strength ability if I have Fan’s ability? Let’s check it,’ he grabbed onto the bumper and pulled.

The truck groaned loudly. He was able to pull it with ease.

’I still have my strength so... this copy ability is like an add-on. A cherry on top. Oh god, I have been blessed with a wondrous ability,’

Yue happily dragged the truck over to the river and submerged it.

The zombie curiously looked at the sunken truck.

”It’s your new home,” Yue opened the small hatch door and tossed a glow stick inside.

The zombie swam in hesitantly. ”goo..... goo goo goo...” it excitedly shouted, swimming in small circles.

”glad you like it. I’m gonna have to clean out your old home, buddy. Stuff this water truck with as much as fishes you want”

”goo~~”

Yue went to the pipe and cleaned it up. The bones he retrieved from the pipe, he carefully tied them to his waist. Not only were they strong, but they were also very sharp. If he could shape it into an arrow or a sword, it would be a deadly weapon to harness.

In ten minutes he cleared out the whole piping. The water zombie watched him like a curious puppy. Every time he threw out a carcass, it picked it up and stuffed it in the storage compartment of the water truck.

”That’s done,” he flashed the light through the pipe. It was fully unblocked.

Suddenly, he noticed a huge, jagged rock in the corner. Curiously, he swam close.

”goo!!” the water zombie hurriedly swam in and hugged the jagged rock.

”Your rock? Okay, I won’t touch it.”

”goo....goo....” like a child sharing candy, the zombie hesitantly held it out to him.

”Okay?” Yue took it. He felt the rough edges of the rock.

”goo..” the zombie came close and took a bite out of literally and crunched loudly.

Completely petrified, Yue just blinked at it. ”I guess zombies eat everything,”
