Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2447: Chapter 2447: The Ruthless Person Who Abandoned Two Sons

He naturally heard the news of An Jiuyue’s return by now. In fact, earlier he had personally seen a man and a woman holding a child, going up the mountain.

Because they were strangers, he didn’t say much, and since he didn’t know them, there was nothing much to say.

Later, he heard from the women coming down the mountain that An Jiuyue had returned, but he didn’t really think much of it.

“How could you not know, head of the household? If she has returned, can’t we get our sons back? That’s two sons we’re talking about. We can’t just let An Jiuyue benefit from them for nothing, can we?”

The woman felt even more unsettled inside when she heard her husband’s calm remark.

Those two little brats were the ones she carried for ten months, gave birth to through painstaking efforts; why should An Jiuyue just get to profit from them? Even if she is someone important, like a Female Lord, so what?

Could it be that a Lord can just snatch her sons?

“You shut up!”

The man bellowed at her upon hearing the woman’s words.

He was indebted to his two sons, but what did it matter?

He understood his wife all too well. What kind of person was praying to have her sons back and raise them herself? She just wanted to extort money!

Initially, he couldn’t go find those children; afterward, he never thought of retrieving them. Even though he knew his sons were so close to him, he never considered it.

What do his sons have with him? A selfish mother who only wants to exchange them for profit.

Whereas with An Jiuyue, they have received excellent care. She truly treats the two children as if they were her own. Though she never returned over the years, wasn’t there An Jiuyue, the Princess of the Third Rank, who looks after the children so well?

All these, he saw with his own eyes.

And yet, looking at his wife, these years she only had one thing at heart — waiting for An Jiuyue to appear, then extract the value of the two children from her.

“Would you like the whole village to know that we’re the cold-hearted ones who abandoned two sons back then?” He glared at the woman, speaking in a voice full of hate.

Back then, he wished he could go find those children.

But with the flood’s rush, where did the children get washed away to, whether they survived, who could know?

Moreover, there were other older children at home he needed to care for, as well as aging parents to look after. Coming right after the disaster, he couldn’t leave at all.

And he realized his wife never cared about the two children. When they were swept away, she hadn’t even been saddened for a moment.

“What cold-hearted people? Back then, we had no choice, who knew if the children would survive?” The woman, knowing she was at fault, spoke in a lower tone.

But she never felt she was wrong. It’s her own children, why should she just give them to someone else? Even if she can’t have the children back, there should be some benefit, right? She can’t just end up with nothing, isn’t that so?

“Didn’t we come to An Clan Village as soon as we heard the children were still alive? Just wanting to see the kids, head of the household, we were good enough to those two children.”

She said.

“You—”

The man, hearing her words, suddenly found himself unable to speak.

Back when he wanted to move here, his wife was the most opposed to it, wasn’t she? Did she forget what she used to say?
