Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2445: Chapter 2445: Confused Person

Hmph, he’s doing this on purpose.

This An Que really doesn’t seem like a good person. Every time I take his ox cart, it puts me in a bad mood.

He’s just a scholar, acting as if he’s the only scholar within ten miles. He’s as arrogant as the rooster in his house, looking down on others and thinking he’s something special.

Aunt Ju never pays him any attention, yet he still chases after her wanting to marry her. Isn’t that like a toad wanting to eat swan meat? He’s just dreaming.

I really don’t know where he gets his confidence from, thinking that someone with such a good background would definitely marry him?

Thankfully, the farmland isn’t registered under An Que’s name. Otherwise, I would have to act according to his whims. Many families in An Clan Village are like this.

It’s really hard. Knowing that other people’s land is registered under another scholar’s name, they only have to give a little grain, but they still don’t dare to say anything.

Because if the land is registered under a scholar’s name and that scholar doesn’t acknowledge it, then the land can only belong to the scholar, and these regular folks get nothing.

Speaking of this, it’s really bad. Taxes, they should definitely be paid.

I just don’t get it. Why do these people prefer to give grain to those scholars rather than pay it to the royal court?

Giving to the royal court can at least strengthen the nation, but giving to those scholars, sometimes you also have to act according to their whims. The royal court today won’t act like that.

Besides, this is Prince An Yang’s territory, and the authorities wouldn’t dare to act rashly.

“Ah, people just can’t figure things out!”

He shook his head and continued to drive the ox cart home. Dinner must already be prepared at home, waiting for him.

If it weren’t for An Que spending a copper coin, he wouldn’t be returning to the village this late. Look, it’s already dark, and he can barely see the road. Luckily, he anticipated this before leaving and brought a torch.

Uncle Niu had brought a torch, but An Que wasn’t so lucky.

Chasing the ox cart had already worn him out, and on the pitch-black road, he accidentally stepped into a ditch.

When he got back up, he was in a mess, covered in mud, but he had to endure it and slowly feel his way back home.

…

In the treehouse.

Ever since before it got dark, the whole house was filled with a fragrant aroma.

The three little ones were all in the kitchen. Although An Yixing and Yi Zhou were young, they could still manage the fire and wash vegetables. The two brothers, along with Little Nuonuo, were all squeezed under the stove making the fire.

“This sweet potato smells so good and sweet, Nuonuo, it’s not hot anymore, eat it.”

An Yixing’s small hands broke a slightly cooled sweet potato and handed it to Little Nuonuo. This sweet potato was roasted under the stove by him, and it smelled wonderful.

In the past, Aunt often roasted sweet potatoes like this for them to eat, and they were very delicious.

“Let’s eat together, brothers.”

Little Nuonuo took the roasted sweet potato, took the half that was bigger, and then handed the other smaller half to Fourth Brother Yi Zhou. He also split half of the bigger piece from his hand for An Yixing.

“Let’s share it and eat, that way we’ll all eat a little less, and later, we’ll have room in our stomachs to eat the dishes mom made.” He thought happily.

He also wanted to drink the chicken soup that mom cooked. He couldn’t remember the last time mom made chicken soup!
