Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2213: Chapter 2213: Don’t Even Think About Hurting Me!

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

The nanny responded, bringing along two palace maids to snatch Zun’er from the Empress’s arms. The sobbing child, overwhelmed and inconsolable, was carried to her side.

One had never seen such an unfit mother before. She had noticed earlier that Zun’er’s shoulders bore bloody marks caused by the Empress’s sharp nails, and this was through his clothing—the blood had already seeped through.

“Give Zun’er back to me!”

Deprived of Zun’er, the Empress erupted instantly.

Her eyes widened as if they were copper bells, glowing with a murderous intent, glaring at the nanny as though ready to pounce on her.

The nanny only spared Zun’er a glance. When she turned back to the Empress, she was confronted by those devouring eyes, and the sight genuinely startled her.

This Empress—could she already have lost her mind?

“Give him back to me! Return Zun’er to me! Zun’er, come here, come quickly!” The Empress, restrained from rushing forward, shouted at Zun’er in desperation.

“Come to Mother here, Zun’er. Be obedient. If you do, Mother won’t hit you. Come here quickly, or else Mother will beat you to death!”

“Wah! No, no!”

Zun’er, frightened by the Empress’s behavior, began wailing loudly, clutching the nanny’s leg and trembling behind her.

The nanny’s mind suddenly went blank, and for a brief moment, she almost felt an impulse to kick the Empress.

Even if he weren’t the Emperor’s child, he was still just a child. Watching him cry like this stirred a pang of pity in her heart, and she quickly picked him up into her arms.

“Nanny will take you out of here.”

“Go, go, wah, boohoo!” Zun’er, terrified out of his wits, flailed his limbs, wanting nothing more than to escape.

“Alas!”

The Empress Dowager watched this mother and child pair and let out a soft sigh.

How could this resemblance anything like maternal love? Over the years, she had been unaware that the Empress was such a wretched creature. This was a testament to her lack of understanding when it came to the inner workings of the harem.

“Empress Dowager, what shall be done with the Empress?”

Another nanny inquired, for she was the Empress after all—a summary execution would not be appropriate, would it?

At those words, the Empress Dowager’s expression hardened. She looked at the deranged and hysterical Empress.

“That illegitimate child is likely already dying. Let the Empress follow him in death.”

That seemed fitting, didn’t it? No matter how heinous the Empress’s actions, the Central Imperial Country could never tolerate a situation where a so-called Empress had borne an illegitimate child to tarnish the Emperor’s reputation.

Thus, the matter had to remain sealed within the palace, without the slightest bit of information leaking out.

Upon hearing the Empress Dowager’s decision, the nanny glanced up at the Empress, her eyes filled with contempt and disdain.

This kind of Empress—burying her in the imperial tomb was far too lenient. But given the circumstances, there was no other solution but to let the Empress join His Majesty in death.

“No, this cannot be!”

The Empress, upon hearing the Empress Dowager’s words, finally snapped out of her frenzied state.

She could not die; her brother was still waiting for her. He had promised her that their son would eventually rise to the supreme throne. When that time came, she would become the Empress Dowager, and her brother could assume the role of Regent King. Together, they would still be one family.

“I cannot die! My brother will come to save me! None of you will harm me!”

The Empress Dowager furrowed her brows slightly, her gaze filled with disgust as she looked at the Empress. She inhaled deeply once more.

Still counting on General Ning to save her? Their plans, however ambitious, would never be realized. Currently, General Ning’s crimes were already making headlines across the city.

Death was his only path now.
