Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2100: Chapter 2100: Having an Extremely Glib Tongue

“You two…”

“Auntie Ting He, are you busy?”

Ting He was about to instruct two maids on several matters, but her words were interrupted by a voice.

Turning her head, she saw a face she very much didn’t wish to see—Wang Hua’er, the maid beside the third Miss Xue Manyu, who was referred to as Sister Hua by the other maids in Miss Manyu’s courtyard.

This maid’s cultivation level wasn’t up to par, but she had quite the slick tongue, managing to coax Miss Manyu, an insufferably arrogant young lady, into obedient compliance.

“So it’s Miss Wang. Do you have business in Madam’s quarters?” Although her face carried a smile, her eyes were as indifferent as could be while she inquired, looking at Wang Hua’er.

Wang Hua’er’s mouth twitched slightly, knowing that Auntie Ting He did not favor her, but she was not afraid.

“Auntie Ting He, I heard you’ve been seeking servants to head to Reflection Cliff to take care of the third Miss. I wonder, have you found anyone willing to go?” she asked first.

She was sure no one would be willing to go to Reflection Cliff; the days spent there were far from comfortable—utterly miserable, in fact.

Apart from her, probably no one else within Tufeng Sect would be willing to go, right?

“The austerity of Reflection Cliff is understandable, and it’s only natural for people to be reluctant to go. Miss Ting He, I…”

Just as she was about to proudly declare that Auntie Ting He likely hadn’t found anyone, and that she herself was willing to go, she heard Auntie Ting He speak.

“Taking care of the third Miss is an honor for everyone; who would be unwilling to go?”

“What?”

Wang Hua’er thought she had misheard and couldn’t help blurting out a question.

Who would be willing to go to Reflection Cliff? Were it not for her intent to curry favor with the third Miss and wait for her return from Reflection Cliff to be treated as a sister, she wouldn’t be willing either.

“Auntie Ting He, what are you saying? Are there people willing to go?”

How could she believe it? It must be a lie from Auntie Ting He—she had rushed over as soon as she caught wind of the search; how could anyone be less enthusiastic about going than her?

However, upon seeing the other two maids beside Ting He, she suddenly understood.

It must be these two maids who were willing to go to Reflection Cliff to tend to the third Miss, right? She knew these two; they were the ones who usually served Madam Xue and were most obedient to her orders.

To make her believe that these two maids were going to serve the third Miss?

Of course, she wouldn’t believe it—their true intention was more than likely to harm the third Miss.

“Auntie Ting He, how can we trouble two sisters with the matter of the third Miss? They are needed to serve Madam, after all. I have always served the third Miss and am most familiar with her care. Why not let me go instead? It isn’t good to divide Madam’s servants between two places.”

Her mouth twitched slightly as she looked at Auntie Ting He and said.

Although she knew it was unlikely Auntie Ting He would heed her, she still had to say it; even if she ended up not going to Reflection Cliff, she wanted everyone to know that she had tried, but no one was willing to let her serve the third Miss.

That way, when the third Miss came back, she would still have an explanation.

“Sister Hua’er, what kind of talk is that? It is exactly because Madam cares for the third Miss that she is sending us to serve her. Your words seem to imply that Madam, as a mother, doesn’t care for her own daughter,” said one of the maids standing behind Auntie Ting He, her smile not reaching her eyes as she looked at Wang Hua’er.

“That… Sister, you misunderstand my meaning. I did not say that.”

Wang Hua’er inwardly cursed. Was this person intentionally twisting her words to provoke the Madam into blaming her?
