Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 1940: Chapter 1940: In the State of Eternal Night

“I do, I do.”

The inn worker looked at the Beast Pill swaying in front of his eyes and hastily nodded.

Earning money without having to work for it would be foolish, but he also knew that the Beast Pill was not for free; there was definitely something he was supposed to do in exchange.

“If you have any commands, this humble one will certainly accomplish them for you,” he said.

“It’s very simple, I’ll ask you some questions, and if you answer well, this Beast Pill will be yours,” Yuu Rong said as he sat down at the table, placing the Beast Pill onto the surface.

“Ask away, my esteemed guest.”

...
The inn worker immediately leaned in closer.

Just by answering some questions, he could get the Beast Pill; it was like a pie falling from the sky, landing right in front of him.

If he didn’t pick it up, then who would? He absolutely had to grab it.

“We just came from Wulong Mountain, and we really don’t know much about this plane. Why don’t you start by giving us a simple introduction to the Eternal Night Plane,” Yuu Rong decided to not take the lead and would listen to what the inn worker had to say first, then see if anything needed to be added.

“You came from Wulong Mountain? That is a splendid place.”

The inn worker’s eyes lit up with excitement; Wulong Mountain was a place where many wished to go but were unable to.

“Esteemed guest, this plane is called the Eternal Night Plane. Here, there are only two hours of daylight, and the rest of the time, four hours, is night time.”

“The rest of the four hours? Does this plane only have six hours in a day?” Yuu Rong asked.

That clearly couldn’t be true. Having traveled to different planes with Qian Jiyun, he knew that this place still operated on a twelve-hour system. How could it have changed to only six hours?

“No, of course not. There are another six hours that are in Eternal Night condition,” the inn worker hastily shook his head. If a day only had six hours, that would be great, as it would mean they had more daylight to see.

But what was terrifying was the Eternal Night; outside, nothing was visible, and even one’s sensitivity dropped quite a bit.

“During the Eternal Night, both people and demonic beasts cannot see anything beyond three meters. Even if they have a torch in hand, they can’t see clearly.

Furthermore, when the Eternal Night Time arrives, a type of demonic beast comes out; they eat everything—plants, animals, other demonic beasts, and even people.”

Thinking of the demonic beasts that rampage during the Eternal Night, he felt numbness spreading all over his body, draining his strength and even causing his speech to quiver.

“However, it’s still not too bad. As long as you have a torch, those demonic beasts won’t dare to come close. And in small towns like ours, the demonic beasts don’t dare to come; they only hunt in pitch-dark places.”

Listening to him, Yuu Rong finally understood why Qian Jiyun and An Jiuyue had mentioned the sensation of being watched by pairs of eyes before.

So it was those so-called demonic beasts.

“Since there are such demonic beasts, why don’t you eliminate them?” he asked.

It wasn’t only during the Eternal Night Time; during other times, it would be the perfect opportunity for humans to eliminate those man-eating demonic beasts. Surely they could be eradicated.

“If they could be eliminated, would we just let them eat people?”

The inn worker stared with wide eyes, portraying a helpless expression. If it were possible, would they have not eliminated those man-eating demonic beasts already?

“Those demonic beasts, no one has ever seen what they look like. Everyone who has seen them has died. They don’t come out during the day or the night, and no one knows where they hide; nobody has ever been able to find them,” the inn worker explained.
