Chapter 134: Chapter 110: The Strange Trainer on the Snowy Mountain

When Naoki entered Glaseado Mountain, thirty minutes had passed, and snow began to fall from the sky.

White snowflakes swirled down from the peak.

This snowfall covered the entire Glaseado Mountain, and as far as the eye could see, it was a world dressed in a silver-white blanket.

The temperature here was extremely low, and the breath turned into white mist the moment it hit the air, dissipating quickly.

Thanks to the effect of the hot soup, the cold-resistant suit had not yet been needed.

Since the effect of ”Cold Resistance” lasts for 6 hours, Naoki only wore a thin jacket into the mountain.

Koraidon slowed its pace, gliding in mid-air while Naoki looked down to observe the situation below.

The entire mountain was covered with a thick layer of white snow, and occasionally pine trees could be seen standing amidst the white.

These are very hardy trees that can grow normally even in environments as cold as minus fifty degrees.

The trunk was upright, and the pine needles were dark green, adding a splash of green to this place.

Perhaps due to the weather, very few Pokemon were wandering in the wild.

At this time, the wild Pokemon inhabiting this mountain range were likely all hiding in their cozy nests.

Either sleeping, gazing at the snowy scenery outside, or snuggling with companions for warmth, licking each other’s fur.

If it were him, in such extreme weather, Naoki thought he would choose to stay home and not go out.

Looking at the vast expanse of white below, Naoki pondered as he patted Koraidon’s back and said to it, ”Let’s land first!”

The body colors of Ice Type Pokemon are mostly white or light blue, making them easily blend into the snowy landscape when viewed from above, and carelessness might let them slip by unnoticed.

Therefore, Naoki planned to explore from the ground.

”Ah ga hiss!”

Koraidon received the command and immediately descended onto the snow below.

Naoki jumped down from Koraidon’s back.

The pair walked on the snow, Naoki’s black leather boots making a crunching sound, and with every step Koraidon took, it left several footprints.

Naoki turned back and found Koraidon’s footprints quite cute, a bit like a dog’s.

Just then, Koraidon seemed to notice something and alerted Naoki, ”Ah ga hiss!”

Naoki looked up and saw a creature wriggling on the snow not far away.

It was a Pokemon resembling a moth larva, snow-white all over, covered in ice crystals, moving while eating the snow on the ground.

”A Snom?”

Naoki recognized the Pokemon’s name.

Snom, an Ice and Bug Type Pokemon.

He remembered that this type of Pokemon loves to eat freshly fallen, soft white snow, and the more they eat, the sharper the ice spikes on their back become.

In reality, Snorunt looked very cute, its white round body like a dumpling.

”Snom won’t do.” Naoki shook his head silently.

He came out this time to find a Pokemon suitable for making an ice cellar, and Snom was obviously unsuitable because there wasn’t enough snow on the ranch for it to eat.

”Let’s go and have a look ahead!” Naoki said.

Avoiding Snom, they began to delve deeper into Glaseado Mountain.

About five minutes later, Naoki and Koraidon climbed over a low hill and finally saw the silhouette of a second Ice Type Pokemon under a snow-covered pine tree.

—Snorunt.

Under the pine tree, there were five Snorunts in total, lively and jumping around under the tree, seemingly playing games.

Just then, one of the Snorunts sensed the presence of strangers.

It turned its head and saw a human accompanied by a fearsome Pokemon.

The red Pokemon emitted an imposing pressure, and the Snorunt jumped up in fright, hastily turning to flee.

The other Snorunts followed suit and quickly vanished in the snow.

Naoki: ”...”

Koraidon: ”Ah ga hiss...”

With the Snorunts fled, they had no choice but to look for other Pokemon.

After walking for about ten minutes, a chilling Ice River appeared before Naoki’s eyes.

By the river, Naoki finally saw an Ice Type Pokemon suitable for the ranch.

It was an Avalugg.

Its appearance was like a large turtle, its whole body hard and pale like an iceberg, with a pair of amber eyes.

Avalugg could release icy breaths to freeze the ground into an ice surface, a perfect ability for making an ice cellar.

”This is it!”

Naoki felt a surge in his heart and took an empty Poke Ball from his pocket.

However, before he could step forward, the Avalugg moved.

It moved its heavy ice feet into the Ice River, then the entire massive body entered the river.

Like an iceberg collapsing, it sent a wave surging on the river’s surface.

When the river’s surface returned to calmness, Avalugg was floating steadily on top.

It turned to look at the riverbank, and only then did Naoki notice a few other Pokemon on the snowy ground by the river.

They were a group of small Bergmites.

Seeing Avalugg successfully enter the water, the group of Bergmite cheered and leapt onto its back.

Once all the Bergmites were aboard, Avalugg began to swim along the river.

Its body, floating on the river surface, was like a colossal ice aircraft carrier.
