Immortality Begins with Breathing Exercises

Chapter 112: Chapter 71: Yin Fiend Power (Part 2)

Plunging the right hand into the basin, a sensation of icy coldness came.

’Use 1 unit of Source Power to enhance the Golden Swan Skill!’

The thought was conveyed, and Lin Zheyu’s consciousness entered the familiar space of mind, beginning a frenzied cultivation of the Golden Swan Skill.

Meanwhile, mysterious energy surged from within his body.

Part of it flowed to the stomach, extracting medicinal strength from the soup there, while another part spread down the arm into the basin.

The medicinal strength in the basin’s powder, drawn by the mysterious energy, flowed along the arm into Lin Zheyu’s body.

Nourished by the mysterious energy and the Blood-Nourishing and Bone-Strengthening Soup’s medicinal power, his fatigued, somewhat exhausted body quickly recovered.

A continuous refinement of Qi Blood emerged, and under the influence of the mysterious energy, it began to compress and purify.

A few breaths later.

Lin Zheyu withdrew from the space of mind, his eyes momentarily dazed, before a gleam appeared in them.

”It really works!”

Lin Zheyu was extraordinarily excited.

The Qi Blood in his body hadn’t returned to peak, the same as last time when the enhancement happened.

The medicinal materials of four servings of Blood-Nourishing and Bone-Strengthening Soup were insufficient to fully provide the energy consumed during Source Power enhancement.

However, the gap wasn’t huge, yet using five servings would be somewhat wasteful.

”The effect is just like brewing into soup and drinking it, without any loss of medicinal strength.”

Lin Zheyu perceived his body’s state and silently remarked.

Indeed, his speculation was feasible; not only when drinking, but the medicinal strength in the materials could be directly activated by mysterious energy.

By using the arm, with water as a medium, the mysterious energy could mobilize the medicinal strength within the materials.

Presumably, not grinding it into powder wouldn’t be an issue either.

However, being cautious, Lin Zheyu ground it into medicinal powder.

”This makes it much more convenient, no longer needing to spend so much time daily brewing medicinal soup. Just in a few days when heading to White Stone Mountain, I can safely enhance my strength.”

Lin Zheyu pondered to himself.

In a few days, he is set to guard at White Stone Mountain for a month.

White Stone Mountain is home to many experts, including those even at the Qi Blood Realm.

If he were to brew too much Blood-Nourishing and Bone-Strengthening Soup there in one go, a gust of wind could scattered the aroma, easily attracting attention.

For which Bone Forging Realm individual dares to consume such potent supplementary medicine like Blood-Nourishing and Bone-Strengthening Soup, much less use four servings in one go.

[Heavenly Dao rewards diligence]

Name: Lin Zheyu

Source Power: 0

Skills:

Wild Bull Fist (Perfection)

Golden Swan Skill (Fifth Layer 27%)

Turtle Breath Skill (Third Layer 2%)

Six Harmonies Blade (Minor Achievement 4%)

Poison King Body (First Layer 0%)

Lin Zheyu looked at the data within his consciousness; the Golden Swan Skill still had quite a distance from Fifth-Layer Perfection and full Qi Blood Transformation.

”Next time, should I try 1 unit of Source Power, to see how far the Poison King Body can be enhanced, and if it’s like I guessed, enhancing without depleting the essence or consuming lifespan.”

Lin Zheyu silently conjectured.

Three to four units of Source Power wouldn’t significantly boost his current strength.

If three to four units of Source Power could enhance poison resistance, so he wouldn’t be cautious when fighting, the improvement would surely be far greater than using it for enhancing the Golden Swan Skill.

No need to enhance too much, just elevate the Poison King Body to the Third-Layer Perfection.

At the Third Layer, Poison King Body can resist most ordinary poisons; even if hit with a potent toxin, relying on strong poison resistance, the effect would be greatly reduced.

”According to the Poison Canon, the first stage is best adapted over seven years, the second over eight, the third over ten.”

”To cultivate Poison King Body to the third stage, it requires at least twenty-five years.”

”Yet the actual poison tempering time is short; after each poison tempering, a rest of over seven days is needed for recovery, preventing over-depletion of the essence and toxin accumulation.”

”If poison tempering and testing were done daily without rest, it could be shortened to under four years.”

”Theoretically, within the space of mind, my energy is boundless, devoid of the need for rest, maybe even shortening it further.”

”Perhaps two to three units of Source Power would suffice to elevate the Poison King Body to Third-Layer Perfection!”

Lin Zheyu deduced, feeling the feasibility was high.

...

After lunch, needing to go to the Chen Mansion for an appointment in the afternoon, Lin Zheyu arrived early at Mr. Chen’s home.

However, Mr. Chen was not home.

After waiting for over half an hour, Lin Zheyu saw Mr. Chen leisurely walking from the distance, holding a wooden bucket in one hand with a fishing rod in the other.

Chen Peijun looked surprised at Lin Zheyu standing at the door and said, ”We set for the afternoon, why did you come early, young lad?”

”I have something later, so I came early,” Lin Zheyu replied.

Taking the wooden bucket from Chen Peijun’s right hand, he followed Mr. Chen into the yard.

Mr. Chen had a great haul today; there were eight fish in the wooden bucket, all quite large, each weighing over seven to eight pounds.

”Is it urgent, if not, let me eat first.” Chen Peijun glanced at him asking.

”Not urgent, I can lend you a hand.”

Lin Zheyu said with a smile.

The Chen Mansion invitation was set for late afternoon, so there was still plenty of time.

”Good.”

”It’s been a while since someone had a meal at my place; let’s roast some extra, let you taste my fish grilling skills.” Mr. Chen chuckled.

From the kitchen, he retrieved a kitchen knife and used the side of the knife to stun the fish.

Killing, scaling, and gilling the fish in one go.

Martial Artists eat a lot, so Mr. Chen slaughtered all eight fish at once,

marinated them for an hour using salt, ginger, green onion, and wine, wrapped the fish with pork caul fat, and then made a stuffing with minced fresh pork, bamboo shoots, and mushrooms to fill the fish belly before charcoal grilling.
