Chapter 48: Chapter 48: Fist Momentum

...

A few young men gathered together, and aside from talking about women, they discussed various national affairs.

From their conversations, Lin Zheyu learned quite a bit about the latest news regarding the chaotic army.

”I heard from my father that Mr. Lin has not yet married?”

Xu Qin Yi suddenly shifted the topic to Lin Zheyu, leaving him a bit stunned.

”Uh, yes.”

”My parents are no longer around to arrange a marriage, and I don’t have the mind to think about such matters.”

Lin Zheyu continued to defer using the excuse of his parents not being around.

He didn’t want to marry too early, entering the grave of marriage.

Baihua Tower is so much fun!

He didn’t know what happened to his original parents, whether they escaped with their lives after the bandit robbery.

”Haha, I was just asking.”

”I have a few cousins who are extremely beautiful. I’ll introduce you to them when the time comes, Mr. Lin.”

”No rush in getting married, get to know each other first, and if feelings develop, then consider marriage.” Xu Qin Yi said with a smile.

His father, Xu Jingwu, had mentioned this, and Xu Qin Yi was here specifically for this.

To see what kind of person Lin Zheyu was in terms of appearance and character.

After meeting today, he had a good impression.

”Don’t listen to his nonsense; the girls of the Xu Family are not as pretty as my Ren Family girls.”

”My sister is a renowned beauty in Songyi City. How about I introduce you to her?” Ren Qingfeng said with interest.

”And your sister is?” Lin Zheyu asked curiously.

”My sister is named Ren Qingying, a famous beauty in Songyi City. Many young gentlemen have been coveting her for a long time, but she doesn’t fancy them.”

Ren Qingfeng said proudly.

Having a beautiful sister gave him quite the presence when he went out.

Those young gentlemen pursuing Ren Qingying all tried hard to curry favor with him, hoping to win over the brother-in-law.

”Get lost, my dad has his eyes on him, don’t try to poach him.”

”Mr. Lin, let’s not pay attention to these two.”

”In a while, there will be a banquet at the Xu Mansion, and I invite Mr. Lin to attend. I hope you’ll come to support it.”

Xu Qin Yi glared at Ren Qingfeng and extended the invitation to Lin Zheyu.

”I certainly will!”

...

They chatted until evening before dispersing.

Jia Yanrong and others had already gone home, and Lin Zheyu returned to his courtyard.

”This Xu Qin Yi, probably sent by Mr. Xu to win me over, huh?”

Lin Zheyu realized what was going on.

There’s no such coincidence in the world; he went to Baihua Tower, and Xu Qin Yi was there just in time to see him.

”Mr. Xu treats me well, and I don’t mind doing what I can for him. But getting married so soon, that’s a different story.”

Lin Zheyu muttered to himself.

Unless he met someone who truly made his heart race, he had no intention of marrying.

But as he grew older, he realized he hadn’t felt that flutter in his heart for over a decade.

”Train in martial arts, train in martial arts, why think so much about it.”

”The results of cultivating Qi Blood are indeed impressive. Using Qi Blood to temper the bones, the efficiency of Wild Bull Fist training is rising, the progress is accelerating.”

Lin Zheyu looked at the data in his mind and thought to himself.

Lately, he’s dedicated all his time to improving the Wild Bull Fist, with very gratifying progress.

Back in the courtyard.

Lin Zheyu took off his jacket and began practicing his fist skills.

From the courtyard, the sound of fists striking against wooden stakes echoed.

As his strength grew, the wooden stakes in the yard had been replaced several times, and the latest batch was made from the hard-to-break iron birch.

Iron birch stakes are as hard as iron, and no matter how hard Lin Zheyu hit, he couldn’t break them anymore.

These stakes are extremely expensive, but he didn’t pay for them; they were sent by Mr. Xu.

Lin Zheyu continuously attacked the stakes, combining Wild Bull Fist with Golden Swan Skill.

The power of Qi Blood infused his arms, making the muscles bulge, veins popping.

Fists slammed against the stakes, resonating with the power of Qi Blood, accelerating the refining of the muscles, skin, membranes, and bones of his arms.

At the Qi Blood Realm, training in other martial arts was much more efficient, progressing three or four times faster than before.

Under the bright moonlight, Lin Zheyu was drenched in sweat.

His foot suddenly stomped, and the muscles in his legs exerted force.

The power of his legs transmitted through his waist to his arms, followed by a slight lean of the upper body, his fists charging forward like two bull’s horns with an unstoppable force.

Wild Bull Charge!

The barbaric, forceful, and invincible momentum rose from him.

After his fists blasted out, Lin Zheyu didn’t stop, throwing continuous punches.

The momentum around him grew stronger and stronger.

A faint aura of ’wild’ and ’rashness’ swirled around him, extremely subtle.

If someone with a weak will was present, they would be too scared by his aura to exert half their strength.

This aura was what Lin Zheyu felt in his previous practice, hidden within the fist techniques.

With these days of hard practice and comprehension, he finally grasped a bit of the fist force.

This was something he never felt in the Golden Swan Skill.

The creator of Wild Bull Fist had integrated the fist force into the techniques. Only those with high perception could comprehend it while practicing the fist skills.

And only those who grasp this fist force can cultivate the Wild Bull Fist to Perfection.

This was why Liang Song said that Wild Bull Fist is easy to learn but hard to master.

Because most people couldn’t comprehend the fist force within it.

After practicing fist skills for an hour, Lin Zheyu stopped.

He developed a habit of practicing fist skills for an hour before bedtime every day.

At first, after practicing, he’d be too excited to sleep, so he’d get up and practice for another hour, then fall asleep from exhaustion.

But now, he’d fall asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

”Wild Bull Fist, Wild Bull Fist, wild, reckless, courageous...”

Lin Zheyu sat by the stone table, gazing at the sky, pondering the bit of fist force understanding he’d just gained.

This was his first encounter with force.

Mr. Liang had said that force is the precursor to intent, and intent is the root of a Transforming Force martial artist’s power.

To break through Bone Marrow Cultivation and enter Transforming Force, one must comprehend an intent.

If he could grasp the fist force within Wild Bull Fist, it would make his future advancement to Transforming Force much easier.

Lin Zheyu pondered until late at night but couldn’t think of much more.

He stopped thinking, took a bath, and went to sleep.

Training in martial arts cannot be rushed, especially in understanding fist force, which cannot be forced.

...

Early the next morning, Lin Zheyu was awakened by the sound of firecrackers.

He opened the window to see the dark sky and cold winds outside.

In the nearby residential houses, candles were lit, and the sound of firecrackers erupted as they burnt incense to worship the gods.

The children also got up early, chasing each other in play.

”Oh, today’s the Little New Year!”

”In the blink of an eye, I’ve been in this world for over four months, time flies so fast.”

Lin Zheyu suddenly remembered that today is the Little New Year of this world.

In Songyi City, every household gets up early on the Little New Year to slaughter pigs, chickens, and ducks to worship the Kitchen God.

This year’s Little New Year was a bit somber.

The adults’ faces were filled with worry, only the children, unaware of the world, played and joked carelessly.

He wondered how Senior Brother Han Mo was doing outside the city, and whether he would manage to return for the New Year.

Since he was already awake, Lin Zheyu decided not to stay in bed.

With his strength, not sleeping for a few days was no problem.

He got up, washed up, and went to the courtyard to continue practicing his fists.

Training in martial arts requires perseverance.
