Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 1120: Chapter 1120: Five Percent

After arriving at the Su Corporation Building, Qin Yu parked the car and hurried to the CEO’s office. Just like always, Qin Yu didn’t knock and burst directly through the door.

As soon as he was inside, Qin Yu couldn’t wait to brag, ”Wife, mission accomplished. Your father has signed the share transfer agreement.”

”Husband, you didn’t get physical, did you? My dad is really stubborn—how did you persuade him?” Su Ziyan looked at Qin Yu with a doubtful expression.

”Of course I didn’t resort to violence. Actually, your dad is quite reasonable. Not only did he sign the contract, but he also promised me that as long as we restore the glory of Su Group, he will accept me as his son-in-law!”

”Really? That’s great!” Su Ziyan exclaimed excitedly as she sprang up from her boss chair and threw herself into Qin Yu’s arms!

Although Su Xinghe hadn’t been very nice to her over the years, on the night of Gu Chen and Old Master Gu’s revenge, Su Xinghe saved her by smashing a flowerpot over Gu Chen’s head!

This made Su Ziyan realize that no matter how much Su Xinghe disliked her, he was still her father! That kind of blood relation was indelible!

It took a while before Su Ziyan finally let go of Qin Yu, gazing lovingly into his eyes.

Qin Yu felt that all his sacrifices and efforts had been worth it!

Qin Yu said with a beaming smile, ”Wife, we must celebrate properly tonight! Today is of great significance to both of us!”

With a sigh, Su Ziyan replied, ”Husband, you’re too optimistic. Now is not the time to celebrate.”

”Why not?” Qin Yu was puzzled.

”Even if my dad transferred the shares to me, I still don’t have as many shares as my second uncle,” Su Ziyan said in frustration.

Qin Yu responded calmly, ”Wife, don’t worry. I have an additional five percent of the shares. If I transfer my five percent to you, wouldn’t your shareholding be more than your second uncle’s?”

”You have five percent of the shares? How come?” Su Ziyan was utterly bewildered!

”Wife, I wanted to surprise you. Long ago, I anticipated that you would take charge of the Su Group.

Therefore, I have been acquiring scattered shares of Su Group, and to date, I have accumulated five percent of them. I’m now the fifth largest shareholder in the Su Group!”

Having said that, Qin Yu looked at his wife with an air of showing off, hoping she would praise him.

Unfortunately, Qin Yu was disappointed; Su Ziyan still seemed somewhat listless, ”Husband, even with your five percent of shares, it’s no use! Because my second uncle has eight percent more shares than me!”

”This...” Qin Yu furrowed his brow, not having expected that Su Xinglei would have so many more shares than Su Ziyan.

After hesitating, Qin Yu asked tentatively, ”Wife, can we try to acquire shares from the other shareholders?”

”I’ve already investigated. Among all shareholders, only Xiong Zhan might consider transferring his shares, as his steel mill is not doing well and is on the verge of a financial breakdown.”

”Then let’s approach Xiong Zhan! Doesn’t he own four percent of the shares? If we buy his four percent, wouldn’t your holdings be more than your second uncle’s?”

”Husband, Xiong Zhan is an old classmate of Tian Peng, and he won’t sell his shares to me,” Su Ziyan said with a wry smile as she shook her head.

”Wife, there’s nothing impossible in this world! We must make an effort in this direction! Does Xiong Zhan have any weaknesses or anything?”

”Xiong Zhan’s character is nothing like his name, he’s extremely cautious—I don’t have anything on him.

Perhaps, Tian Peng is the only one who might have something on him? After all, Tian Peng knows him best!”

Su Ziyan shook her head again.
