Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 1111: Chapter 1111: Equity

”Is that enough for me to become the chairman?”

Su Ziyan slowly stood up, looking down at the shareholders from her elevated position. Her tone was incredibly assured, as if stating an indisputable fact!

If someone else had said this, perhaps the shareholders would have thought that person was boasting, but the one speaking was Su Ziyan!

The shareholders were all stunned! Everyone had the illusion that it was not Su Ziyan standing before them, but rather the once-dominant director of Su Group!

Some of the sentimental shareholders got teary-eyed, the neutral ones all shut their mouths, looking at Su Ziyan with eyes filled with excitement!

More than a decade ago, when Director Xiang was still around, he too made such promises to everyone!

And then, Director Xiang fulfilled all his promises!

They believed, Miss Su’s promises would also be fulfilled!

Even Su Xinglei and Tian Peng felt a sense of disorientation! However, both quickly came back to their senses!

The two exchanged glances, knowing that they couldn’t let this continue! If it went on like this, Su Ziyan would captivate the hearts of the shareholders!

At that time, there might really be an unexpected turn of events!

Tian Peng said in a deep voice, ”Miss Su, what makes you think you can make such a promise? More than a decade ago, when Director Xiang was in charge, Su Group was in its prime. Back then, under Director Xiang’s leadership, there was not a single loss-making company in the group!

But what about now?

How many bloated organizations does Su Group have? How many debts?

On what basis do you have the confidence to make such a promise?

Keep in mind, Su Group currently employs thousands of workers, if Su Group collapses, thousands of workers would lose their livelihoods!

Miss Su, that would be a serious offense!”

Unyielding, Su Ziyan looked at Tian Peng and said sternly, ”Uncle Tian, you are right! At that time, Su Group indeed was in a state of vigorous development! Indeed, there were no loss-making companies!

However, are you suggesting that today’s Su Group can’t compare to that of the past? Back then, Su Group had only three industries! Assets not exceeding ten million!

But now? Su Group has more than ten industries, with total assets reaching ten billion!

Could it be with such a strong foundation, we’re still worse off than more than a decade ago?

Could it be, Uncle Tian, that after years of living comfortably, you have lost the courage you had when you were fighting hard? Uncle Tian, you disappoint me greatly!”

Su Ziyan’s words left Tian Peng with a face red with embarrassment! Tian Peng knew Su Ziyan was shifting concepts, but he had no way to counter because everything she said was the simple truth!

Even with its current difficulties, Su Group cannot be compared to what it was more than a decade ago!

Seeing Tian Peng flustered, Su Xinglei couldn’t sit still. He coughed dryly, ”Niece, all that you are speaking of pertains to the future, and the future is unpredictable.

You claim you can double the shareholders’ stock value, I dare say I could triple or quadruple it!

Since we are discussing the election of the new chairman, let’s talk about something concrete, like shares!

I, your uncle, am the second-largest shareholder of Su Group, and I have the qualifications to run for chairman. Tian Peng, as the third-largest shareholder, also has the qualifications to run for chairman.

I’ve never heard that the fourth-largest shareholder has the right to run for chairman!”

Upon hearing Su Xinglei’s words, Tian Peng started to feel better, nodding slightly, ”Vice Chairman Su is right, only the two of us have the qualifications to run for chairman, and I’m too old to take on the heavy responsibility of being chairman.

Therefore, Vice Chairman Su ought to be the one to take over as the new chairman!”

”I agree!” Yang Qian nodded without hesitation!
