Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 1047: Chapter 1047: Chance Encounter

Huh? This man looks somewhat familiar?

Who is he? Shen Qian shook her head and continued to eat.

The moment Shen Qian turned her head, Yang Fan’s pupils couldn’t stop contracting!

It’s Shen Qian! It really is Shen Qian!

Ever since graduation, Yang Fan had lost contact with Shen Qian, and never expected to encounter her here!

Yang Fan was Shen Qian’s high school classmate. Back in high school, Yang Fan had a crush on Shen Qian, but because he was rather awkward and self-conscious at the time, he never dared to express his feelings.

But now things were different! After getting into college, he was sent to the United States for advanced study at Harvard University, and during his senior year, he developed a software independently.

Yang Fan’s software quickly became a sensation, and now, Yang Fan had become a new rising star in Silicon Valley.

After achieving success in his career, Yang Fan returned home in glory, having looked for Shen Qian for a long time, but to no avail.

Because he couldn’t get Shen Qian out of his mind, Yang Fan had never had a girlfriend. The girl in front of him was Zhang Shuqing, a match his family had arranged for him.

With a swish, Yang Fan stood up.

“Fan, what’s wrong?” Zhang Shuqing looked confused.

“We’ve already met, and I think we’re not suitable, I wish Miss Zhang all the best in finding her Mr. Right.” Yang Fan nodded politely to Zhang Shuqing, then walked over to Qin Yu and Shen Qian without any hesitation.

“Shen Qian, what a coincidence,” Yang Fan tried to maintain a relaxed expression.

Hearing Yang Fan call out her name, Shen Qian was startled and studied him carefully. She felt he was familiar, but for the life of her, couldn’t remember where they had met!

No wonder she couldn’t recognize him, for the Yang Fan back then was just a shy bookworm, but now he was a Wall Street financial magnate, a complete transformation in temperament!

“Sir, do we know each other?”

“I’m so heartbroken, Shen Qian, my classmate, you actually don’t remember me? I’m Yang Fan. We were high school classmates, in the same class.”

“Yang Fan?” Shen Qian blinked, an image of a boy with black-framed glasses appeared in her mind, gradually merging with Yang Fan standing before her.

“It really is you! Yang Fan, I can’t believe how much you’ve changed! I hardly recognized you!” Shen Qian said, surprised to see an old classmate.

“Classmate Shen Qian, would you mind joining me for a meal?” Although he phrased it as a question, Yang Fan’s hand was already reaching for the back of the chair, ready to pull it out for Shen Qian as soon as she nodded.

Shen Qian instinctively wanted to agree, happy at the chance encounter with an old classmate.

But before she could nod, Qin Yu shook his head without hesitation; “Sorry, but Qianqian and I are enjoying a date, so Mr. Yang, please feel free to carry on.”

“Qin Yu, what are you doing? Yang Fan is my classmate!” Shen Qian glared at Qin Yu, somewhat upset.

“Qianqian, we already don’t have much time together, I do not want us to be disturbed by someone unwelcome, and besides, it’s clear Mr. Yang here has designs on you. Why would I allow a wolf into the henhouse?”

“Qin Yu, you’re definitely overthinking things. In school, Yang Fan was all about his studies and never had any intentions of pursuing me.

Furthermore, Yang Fan must have a girlfriend already, I just saw him sitting with a girl.”

Yang Fan’s expression changed, and he quickly explained, “Shen Qian, don’t get the wrong idea, Zhang Shuqing isn’t my girlfriend, she’s just someone I was set up with.

I’ve already made it clear to her that it’s not going to happen between us.”
