Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 1007: Chapter 1007: In Disrepair Due to Age

Qin Yu asked with a puzzled expression, “Technician Liu, why are you asking me? Ask the workshop director!”

Workshop director?

Technician Liu gave a bitter smile, “Brother Qin…”

“Hold on, Technician Liu, just call me Xiao Qin. I really can’t live up to being your elder brother.”

“Exactly, old man, are you trying to curse my Brother Yu? How old are you? And how old is he?” Li Erniu glared, which scared Technician Liu into trembling.

“Erniu, don’t scare Technician Liu.”

“Cough cough…” Li Erniu sheepishly scratched his head.

“Technician Liu, don’t be afraid, Erniu just fusses a lot, he means no harm. Go on,” Seeing Li Erniu’s naively smiling face, Qin Yu couldn’t be bothered with him and turned his head towards Technician Liu.

Technician Liu hesitantly said, “Xiao… Xiao Qin, our workshop director has… has drunk too much.”

Drunk too much? Qin Yu scratched his head somewhat worried! No wonder the beverage factory had been losing money! With such a workshop director, how could it not lose money?

“Does your workshop director often drink alcohol during shifts?”

Technician Liu weakly glanced at Qin Yu but didn’t dare to speak.

Even if Technician Liu didn’t say it, Qin Yu understood; it seemed that drinking on shift was common for the workshop director. Qin Yu, expressionless, asked, “When the workshop director is absent, who manages the work?”

“No one does; when the machines work well, we operate, and when they don’t, we rest.”

“Understood, start the machines.”

“Yes.”

In the past, before starting the machines, the workers would definitely dilly-dally for a while, but Qin Yu’s demeanor was so intimidating that once he said to start the machines, the workers automatically returned to their stations.

Technician Liu closed the power switch and turned on the machine. The machine roared into life, and the workers began to operate in an orderly manner.

Seeing this scene, Qin Yu nodded slightly. In fact, the problem wasn’t with the workers; their professionalism was still acceptable. The problem lay with the management!

Just after nodding, Qin Yu suddenly furrowed his brows, staring intently at the juice extraction equipment in front of him. He took a couple of steps forward, coming to the front of the waste area, and observed the waste dropping from there carefully.

“Xiao Qin, what’s the problem?” Seeing Qin Yu’s deeply furrowed brows, Technician Liu’s heart was in turmoil.

“Hmm, the problem is significant, Technician Liu. If I am not mistaken, this is the juice extraction equipment produced by NSL Company from Country D!

Although it is an older model, it should be capable of medium-grinding raw materials. Why am I seeing coarse grinding?” Qin Yu pointed at the waste on the ground.

Technician Liu’s eyes lit up; Xiao Qin actually knew about machines? This made Technician Liu feel like he had found a kindred spirit.

Since they were talking about his area of expertise, Technician Liu relaxed. He said solemnly, “Xiao Qin is right, this indeed is the juice extraction equipment produced by NSL Company.

However, due to lack of proper maintenance, the components of the machine have worn out significantly, causing it to fail maintaining medium-grind, and even coarse grinding frequently malfunctions.”

Qin Yu frowned, perplexed. “Lack of proper maintenance? Aren’t you the technician? These machines are from NSL Company of Country D, and they use top-quality fine iron. With proper maintenance, they could last fifty years!

It’s only been twenty years, hasn’t it? How can it be lack of proper maintenance?”

Qin Yu’s words almost choked Technician Liu! Only a few years? What does he mean ‘only’? Shouldn’t he speak carefully?

Technician Liu gently shook his head; “Xiao Qin, you might not fully understand the profession of a technician. An ordinary technician can only guarantee these machines work for ten years. But I have managed to keep them running for over twenty years!

That hasn’t been easy.”
