Chapter 70: After modification: Chapter 30 Military and Politics (Part 1)

Russell shook his head and said, ”War isn’t something decided by one person; there are too many unpredictable factors. The Federation’s resistance on Miloke Planet is more resolute than before, and their tactics more flexible. I believe that these inexperienced Federation generals are gradually growing up. Besides, not only did I send Pulsharif to remind the Federation, but I also gave them such clear signals on the battlefield. It only takes a bit of thought to understand the whole plan. This is all I can do; if it’s too obvious, we’ll expose ourselves.”

Hamid said worriedly, ”If the Federation really sees through this plan, it would indeed be a great victory for the just Freedom Front, thanks to you, esteemed Algarfar. However, this significant loss, even for you, may be hard to explain to that damned Royal Family of Gazalin. It wouldn’t be good for your reputation or the long-term development of the Freedom Front. Just thinking of this makes me anxious.”

Russell waved his hand and replied with a smile, ”Hamid, you only see the ground battlefield, but you haven’t noticed that there’s another battle in outer space. That will be my explanation to the Imperial Family!”

Hamid hesitated for a moment and cautiously asked, ”You mean...”

Russell’s gaze seemed to pierce through the room and straight into the fierce battle in space. He watched the energy light bombs being madly discharged between two space fleets, the fighter jets entangled like wasps, the battleship shields sacrificing lives to block enemy fire, and the cruisers using dignity as a spear to pierce into the battleship formation of the enemy. His voice served as a commentary on the battle: ”Since the day I knew my identity, I have been determined to destroy the dirty hierarchy. God bless me, although I am a half-breed, I was left without the marks of the Kentai Clan, only given the appearance of the Vibo Clan.”

”Algarfar, this name is the only legacy my parents left me. Regardless of whether I am Kentai or Vibo, I only know my parents died for love! Died protecting me! The Imperial Family of Gazalin will be my lifelong enemy!”

”But this enemy is too powerful, so powerful that even with my current status, I can’t overthrow it in one stroke!”

”So I found it an opponent, one capable of killing it. Until the Freedom Front is strong enough, I will keep them constantly fighting among themselves, just like teasing crickets, making them kill each other continuously. And in their battle, I will win the stakes both sides have placed.”

”Will I end this war soon? No! The Gazalin Empire’s loss in ground warfare will be compensated by the space battle. The Federation Second Mixed Fleet cannot withstand the powerful offensive composed of six Imperial Fleets. Their only option is to retreat to the Leray Central Star Domain. At that time, I can continue to increase investments in ground battles on Miloke Star through the Military Department, with a constant stream of Imperial soldiers gathering here, striving for the final occupation of the entire Newton Star System!”

”Once the Empire’s reinforcements are complete, the Leray Federation’s Space Fleet should also be ready. Whether attacking the Galileo Star System through the Public Star Domain or another assault on the Newton Star System, both sides will start a new battle under my command. No one will win the war, and they will keep tearing at each other until the day we establish a new order!”

Hamid looked at Russell in admiration, watching the plain-looking man sitting quietly there. He felt lucky. Having endured for over thirty years, the next ten years would be the most glorious period of his life. He would follow this man, leading the Kentai Clan and some other lower races to build a new world!

Hamid bowed his head reverently.

In the front command conference room of the Gallipalan Military Academy, it was equally silent. After long deliberation, Bernadotte and several generals reached a consensus. The first order was a full counterattack on the enemy-encircled cities around the Low Ridge Jungle in a fan-shaped formation.

The counterattack on these cities will be a signal, a test. If the analysis is correct, at least two cities’ forces will break through the encirclement.

The battle order had been issued for three hours, and everyone in the conference room, including Tian Xingjian, felt a bit uneasy. In a war filled with both overt and covert plots, they genuinely felt a sense of fear as if their necks were being strangled by someone else. Russell, that military genius from the Gazalin Empire, was indeed terrifying.

Tian Xingjian recalled the military figures album; Russell’s ranking wasn’t very high. Those who surpassed Russell, those even on the first page, how terrifying must they be?

The premonition was accurate; these people were born heroes of chaotic times. They cared nothing for life. Their existence meant only evolving killing into an art and then showcasing this art with blood to the audience. These people would tear this world to pieces!

Outside, hurried footsteps approached. Admiral Bernadotte’s confidential secretary, Yuna, came into the silent conference room holding a document. Her cheerful expression had already announced the result. Bernadotte almost snatched the report, glanced at it, and couldn’t help but laugh aloud, ”Gentlemen! We’ve succeeded!”

The conference room erupted in cheers. A general rushed to grab the battle report and scrutinize it, while several others strode over to Tian Xingjian, patting his shoulder, ”Good job, Fatty! After this battle, we must buy you a drink!”

Good job, Fatty? Tian Xingjian could only nod repeatedly, smiling wryly.

Ann Lei sat quietly there, watching the man surrounded by generals. Besides her shock, there was a touch of sweetness. Except for her father, no one knew how significant this fool was in her life.

After that incident, her father had told her that Tian Xingjian couldn’t always be under her protection. He must experience everything a real man should go through, not become a useless man under a woman’s protection!

Every time she saw this person doing foolish things to get her attention, she felt more embarrassed, pained, and disappointed. Why could he never know what he wanted? Why was he always so foolish?

After receiving the military academy’s acceptance letter, she had cried her heart out. Her personality was more suited to becoming a dancer or a teacher. Why had she applied to the military academy? Even she didn’t know. Perhaps to complete the life of the boy who ran away in her youth, or perhaps it was a silent reproach and farewell.

Since joining the military, Ann Lei had almost forgotten this person. The memories of young love had gradually faded. Given his character, their paths would never cross again. But unexpectedly, he appeared on Miloke Star, becoming a military advisor, and an exceptionally excellent one!

Why had he joined the military? What exactly had he done? How could someone who hadn’t attended military school become an excellent military advisor in such a short time? Ann Lei’s heart was full of questions. She desperately wanted to drag that man out of the generals’ crowd and ask him everything!
