The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 594: Chapter 594: This Pooper Scooper Can’t Do This Anymore

Ji You was shoveling rabbit poop for the rabbits, only halfway through, and she thought today’s task was definitely going to be a piece of cake. Who knew that halfway through, there would be another rabbit rebellion, specifically the batch belonging to Liu Fufeng.

These rabbits had just arrived and weren’t yet obedient. A few with wild natures were hard to tame and even dared to challenge Ji You’s dignity. At that moment, Ji You looked at those huddled rabbits and didn’t pay much attention. She bent over and began cleaning with her broom, and just then, three rabbits suddenly leaped out like a gust of wind, scraping straight towards Ji You’s fair cheeks—

Whoosh~

As a member of the Combat Department, the future’s greatest Mechanical Warrior, Ji You had to react quickly. Without fully making out what was coming her way, she raised her hand and blocked the attack. The three rabbits simultaneously fell to the ground.

Thud!

Thud!

Thud!

After hitting the ground, the three rabbits lay motionless.

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You frowned: ”Playing dead?”

As soon as she finished speaking, she squatted down to take a close look, only to discover one of the rabbits with a crooked mouth and nose, trembling all over, and then it completely stopped moving.

Having faced numerous big scenes and still steady as an old dog, Ji You suddenly became a little panicky. She hurriedly checked the other two rabbits and found that one was already cold.

The other one still had a faint breath.

Ji You quickly called out, ”Administrator! Administrator! Administrator! Hurry up and save the rabbits ahhhh!!!”

The mechanical administrator of the rabbit shed immediately came in and tried to resuscitate the rabbit that was still breathing. However, a few minutes later, the robot very regretfully announced, ”Sorry, the resuscitation failed, it has passed away.”

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You took a deep breath: ”You... you must be kidding.”

The robot spoke solemnly: ”The life form is no more, there’s no need to kid.”

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You gingerly asked, ”So... what now?”

The robot put on a stern face, and said, ”Now we start calculating the cost for the three rabbits. The first one, the dressed weight is 5 Jin and 4 Liang, the fur is... the second one... The current market price for meat rabbits is..., but these three rabbits are breeding rabbits, much more expensive than meat rabbits, so...”

The more Ji You heard, the worse her expression became: ”So?”

The robot expressed some sympathy and said, ”So, student Ji You with the number 4444, the compensation you face is 113,805 credit points.”

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You defiantly said, ”The culprits were these rabbits! It has nothing to do with me!”

The robot said, ”No, rabbits lack spiritual power and cannot be considered at fault, you’re the culprit, the one mainly responsible.”

Ji You clenched her teeth and said, ”But they attacked me first, I was only defending myself legitimately, how did I become the culprit? Are there no human rights anymore? Anyway, these rabbits should bear half of the responsibility.”

The robot said, ”Rabbits bear no responsibility; you used excessive defense, you are fully liable.”

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You took a hard breath and said, ”This is deathly boring, can’t talk about this anymore.”

The robot said, ”Regarding this matter, there’s surveillance footage within the rabbit shed that has recorded everything. I have already sent the details to Teacher Mu Jianling, who is in charge of the rabbit shed, as well as to the rabbits’ owner, Student Liu Fufeng. Student Ji You just has to wait for them to initiate the claim.”

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You clenched her fists: ”I can’t clean this rabbit shed anymore.”

Damn it~

Just shoveling some rabbit poop, and accidentally shovel away 110,000!

Utterly insane!

Ji You didn’t want to do this anymore!

She took off her gloves and mask, ready to throw in the towel, but the robot administrator saw her and asked, ”Are you planning to desert? Just to let you know, Teacher Mu will be very angry if she finds out.”

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You, swallowing her indignation and shouldering the burden, put her mask and gloves back on, and even forced out a smile, saying to the robot, ”I was just joking just now. There’s no need to tell Teacher Mu about this.”

Ahhhh!!!

So frustrating!

I’m going to shut down!

Thinking of the 110,000 credit points she was about to lose, Ji You couldn’t help saying, ”By the way, please tell the rabbit master for me, say I’ve got no money, and ask him how he wants to settle this?”

Cough~

It’s a fact that I’m a broke soul, I reckon everyone in the whole school knows it.

So~

Maybe I can play the sympathy card, try to get a bit of pity. If I could just get the compensation waived, that would be even better.

The robot butler took a glance at Ji You, slightly suspicious that she was trying to dodge the bill, but still very dutifully conveyed Ji You’s words to Mu Jianling and Student Fufeng.

Then~

Ding-dong—

Mu Jianling sent a communication request, Ji You hurriedly answered, and as soon as the video connected, she saw Teacher Mu’s cold face: ”You killed three rabbits?”

Ji You’s face stiffened, and she quickly explained, ”Ah no, the rabbits attacked me, and I just lifted my hand like this, and they all just fell dead! Really, they just fell dead, I truly didn’t use excessive force.”

Teacher Mu Jianling’s gaze lingered on Ji You’s two hands and cheeks for a few seconds, then she said, ”Pay whatever the compensation is due.”

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You, with a sour face said, ”Teacher... isn’t the compensation too much? Can we reduce it a little?”

Mu Jianling said, ”No.”

Two words that completely epitomized cold-heartedness.

Ji You’s face was even more bitter than a bitter melon and more wrinkled than a muggle’s: ”Teacher... isn’t this a bit too unfair?”

Mu Jianling snorted coldly and said, ”Didn’t you read the rabbit care instructions? Every error is your fault for not being able to control your own Strength. It’s only right that you suffer a loss.”

Ji You: ”...”

After being reprimanded by Teacher Mu like this, Ji You felt even more aggrieved: ”I’m just a small fry, someone who only scored 11 points on the entrance Strength test. My Strength isn’t even as great as a rabbit’s. How was I supposed to know that just by raising my hand in defense, I could kill them?”

She was truly wronged.

Mu Jianling, seeing Ji You’s silly appearance, wasn’t very angry initially, but suddenly got irritated, and scolded, ”Spiritual power is also included in the Strength system. You should reflect on your own about the reasons for causing the rabbits’ deaths. Also, write a 5,000-word reflection report for me!”

Ji You: ”...”

Ji You’s lips quivered slightly with disbelief, ”Tea...Teacher... I’ll compensate the money promptly, isn’t the reflection report unnecessary?”

Mu Jianling’s eyes flashed coldly: ”Have I ever taken back what I’ve said?”

Ji You’s little heart trembled: ”There’s always a first time for everything, right? You haven’t made an exception before, but you could do it for me this time.”

Mu Jianling raised an eyebrow: ”Do I look idle to you?”

Ji You: ”...”

Mu Jianling scolded, ”Stop the nonsense, get the cleaning done quickly, and prepare the confession and reflection for me, send it over.”

Click~

The communication was cut off just like that.

Ji You felt like she was going to lose it...
