Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 591: Sin Challenge

As soon as Feng Yao walked onto the first floor, the remaining participants immediately looked at her in confusion. Their confusion came from the fact that only those in the top 100 rankings could enter, and some of the challenges had already ended.

ʼThis woman is a true fire phoenix, and she is much stronger than our parents.ʼ Long Chen whispered to his little brother after he sensed Feng Yaoʼs calm but blazing aura.

Long Tian nodded. ʼDid she come from another realm? What was her reason for coming here? There has never been a phoenix in this realm, but she suddenly appeared here.ʼ

ʼShe probably came from the upper realms, especially since our parents knew all the mythical beasts in these middle realms.ʼ Long Chen immediately turned his head away when Feng Yao glanced at them. ʼPhoenixes are the gentlest mythical beasts, but they can also be deadly, so we shouldnʼt go near this woman.ʼ

.

.

.

ʼJinglan, did you notice that womanʼs identity?ʼ Xia Xianzi whispered to her friend as she stole a glance at Feng Yao.

ʼThat woman is a mythical beast, the fire phoenix. Her cultivation is far above my parents, so Iʼm sure she came from the upper realms. However, Iʼm not sure why she came here or how she gained access to this tower, given that she wasnʼt present from the start.ʼ Xian Jinglan then ordered her other members not to keep looking at Feng Yao.

The three groups from the Bai, Xian, and Yun Kingdoms, under the leadership of Bai Chongxi, Xian Qifeng, and Li Yao, were also surprised by Feng Yaoʼs arrival. However, all of them immediately turned their gazes back, and they wondered in their hearts about her, including her identity and how she managed to enter the tower.

Unlike them, the other group from the Xian Kingdom, led by Xuan Yu, kept their eyes on Feng Yao, and the two princes seemed eager to approach her. However, they suddenly felt a chill down their spines, especially when her red eyes gave them a piercing stare, causing all of them to tremble in fear.

On the other hand, Zhou Tong clenched his fists tightly, and his Adamʼs apple moved up and down as he repeatedly swallowed his saliva. His gaze was like that of a man who had been infatuated with a woman, and his mind was imagining something wrong with Feng Yao.

ʼThis woman is truly powerful! Sheʼs the most worthy woman to accompany me.ʼ Unnoticed by everyone in the room except for Zhang Fei, Zhou Tong suddenly trembled as Feng Yaoʼs pressure suppressed him from above. ʼFuck! She is indeed powerful, but she is too arrogant to suppress me like this! I donʼt care who she is; I will definitely make her submit to me in the future!ʼ

Unfortunately, Zhou Tong was too naive, as he did not know Feng Yaoʼs identity, and it was impossible for him to subdue the princess of the phoenix race.

.

.

.

ʼHey! Foolish brother! Your eyes are almost popping out of their sockets!ʼ

Ximen Hongwu seemed unmoved, his gaze solely focused on Feng Yaoʼs figure, a glimmer of eagerness to possess her flashing in his eyes.

Even so, Ximen Hongwu realized that Feng Yao was far beyond his reach. Even strong demon cultivators like his parents couldnʼt stand a chance against her, let alone him, with his meager cultivation. ʼSuch a perfect woman! Sheʼs an unblemished fire goddess!ʼ

ʼTch!ʼ Ximen Yueliang gritted her teeth as she watched her big brother continue in this manner, but she had to admit that Feng Yao was indeed an enchanting beauty, surpassing the beauty of any woman present. ʼWhere did she come from? Since when was there a woman as beautiful as her in this realm? Even the Elf Empressʼs beauty could not compare to hers! Unfortunately, she is a woman; if she were a man, I would do everything in my power to control her.ʼ

.

.

.

Feng Yao ignored them and walked toward the last group; to be precise, she walked toward Zhang Fei. Bai Tianʼer and the others were perplexed as she approached them, but they observed that her gaze remained focused on their leader.

The other groups were also intrigued by Feng Yaoʼs motive for approaching Zhang Fei, but some of them had already deduced that the two have a relationship. Some of them, especially Zhou Tong, were jealous and wanted to destroy him.

When she arrived in front of them, Feng Yao immediately teased Zhang Fei, especially since Xian Xianqin and Yun Xinyue were flanking him and sleeping on his shoulders. ”Did you come here to train or find some new women? Your luck with women will make all men jealous, considering they are the Xian and Yun princesses, right?”

”Hahaha.” Zhang Fei laughed at that. ”You are right; they are Xian Xianqin and Yun Xinyue, the two princesses of the two kingdoms. By the way, how did you get into this tower?”

Feng Yao immediately showed the token to Zhang Fei. ”Someone from the beast race gave it to me, so I was able to pass through the barrier. At first, I was testing my strength on the stone obelisk and thought I had to wait for you guys to leave before entering. However, this tower suddenly sucked me in, and here I am now.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei raised his eyebrows in response to that. ”Apparently, your talents attracted those people, and they purposefully brought you here.”

”I think so, too.” They then looked up as a black portal suddenly descended from the ceiling, immediately drawing Feng Yao into it.

Following the disappearance of the phoenix princess, Zhang Fei caught everyoneʼs attention, prompting Xian Changyue to question him directly. ”Who is that woman? How do you know her? I canʼt sense her cultivation, so Iʼm sure her cultivation has already surpassed the divine expansion realm.”

”I will not reveal her true identity, but her name is Feng Yao. Her cultivation has indeed surpassed the divine expansion realm, so she is the strongest cultivator in this realm.” Zhang Feiʼs response stunned everyone, but he then asked Xian Changyue. Did you believe my words from a few days ago? She is a special woman, so I want her as my woman. Unfortunately, she is still far beyond my reach, and I still have to work hard to win her over.”

Yuan Luo, Ru Yanyue, and Ye Zhiqiu massaged their foreheads after Zhang Fei said that, especially since they already knew that he had many wives and partners by his side. Moreover, their princess had clearly fallen in love with him, but he was still thinking about getting Feng Yao.

Unlike them, Bai Tianʼer fell into pensiveness because Zhang Fei had rejected him too many times, and she even took the initiative to seduce him when they were trapped in the trap house before. Although Bai Tianʼer felt confident when comparing herself to Xian Xianqin or Yun Xinyue, she felt inferior to some of his wives, and Feng Yao further exacerbated her sense of inferiority. ʼTch! Why do those beautiful women have to be by his side? If they werenʼt by his side, he wouldnʼt reject me over and over again.ʼ

ʼNo wonder Feng Yao could pressure the alchemy union to the point where they withdrew their people from my kingdom; it turns out she is so powerful.ʼ Xian Changyue said it with a soft sigh.

At the same time as the two notifications appeared in Zhang Feiʼs mind, Feng Yao also appeared in front of them, but a red portal suddenly descended and pulled her in, which was the portal to the battle challenge. However, it didnʼt last long, and she returned to the room in less than five minutes.

”Who is your opponent?” Zhang Fei asked Feng Yao because all the participants had passed the battle challenge.

Feng Yao shrugged her shoulders. ”I donʼt know who my opponent is, but he is too weak, even though his cultivation is on par with mine.”

Zhang Fei immediately guessed that the man was one of the mysterious people who controlled the tower, but a portal suddenly descended from above them. Since they had never entered the portal before, he immediately woke up Xian Xianqin and Yun Xinyue.

Xian Xianqin and Yun Xinyue were astonished when they saw Feng Yao, but they didnʼt have time to ask Zhang Fei, especially since the new portal instantly sucked them all into it and sent them to the next challenge.

.

.

.

When he arrived at the location of the challenge, Zhang Fei saw seven different colored doors surrounding him, and he immediately guessed that it was the Sin Challenge, especially since Ying Shanhu had told him that the challenge was related to the seven deadly sins.

The golden door suddenly opened by itself, and the room was filled with a large number of various treasures. Numerous artifacts appeared there, ranging from weapons, armor, and various other types, most of which were immortal grade.

”What a useless test.” Zhang Fei said as he shook his head. ”Even though you guys come from the realms beyond the upper realms, Iʼm sure you wonʼt have so many precious items of such high grade. Thatʼs why I know theyʼre not real, so you guys donʼt need to waste my time and remove these illusions from my view.”

All the treasures immediately disappeared from Zhang Feiʼs sight, and countless delicious foods appeared in front of him, causing him to laugh out loud at the gluttony test. ”Hahahaha! To tell you the truth, all these foods look delicious from the outside, but I know that they donʼt taste as good as they look, and my grandmotherʼs dishes are much more delicious than them. So you guys can continue with the test, or Iʼll get bored with trivial tests like this.”

After all the food disappeared, the room turned bright red, and Zhang Fei felt his anger overflowing for no apparent reason. He realized that the third test was the wrath, so he immediately sat cross-legged and enveloped his body with his light element to calm his anger. However, the more he calmed his anger, the more it overflowed.

ʼMei, inform me if the test has disappeared.ʼ

[Yes, Master.]

After that, Zhang Fei sealed all his senses, including his subconscious, so the effects of the wrath test would not affect him.

After an hour, the wrath test finally disappeared because Zhang Fei did not vent his anger, and the sloth test replaced it. Mei immediately informed him, especially since he might be considered sleeping if he continued in that position.

Zhang Fei immediately opened his eyes, but the effects of the sloth test gave him extreme drowsiness. ”Compared to the previous three tests, this test is quite difficult, but itʼs still not a big deal for me.”

Zhang Fei instantly rose to his feet, utilizing his demon body technique and enhanced condition ability. He also used his plant generation to create various colorful plants that soothed his eyes, and he started running around the room to overcome his drowsiness.

”I wonder how many participants will make it through this Sin Challenge, but Iʼm afraid that Xianqin and Xinyue will fail their tests.” Another hour passed, but Zhang Fei did not fall asleep, and the sloth test immediately disappeared by itself. The envy test swiftly took its place, instilling in him a deep sense of envy and causing him to sigh softly. ”Everyone has envy in their hearts, including me. Fortunately, I am not overly envious, as I already possess numerous precious things in my life, particularly my wives, partners, and all my family members, who consistently treat me with kindness. Instead, people envy me for their presence by my side, and many of them have the desire to snatch them away from me.”

Later, the envy test vanished, as Zhang Fei remained unaffected by the envy in his heart. Then, the pride test surfaced, reinforcing his already high pride as a heavenly fox. Once again, he decided to seal his senses and subconscious so he would not react to the effects of the pride test.

As soon as Mei informed him that the pride test was over, Zhang Fei immediately opened his eyes, but dozens of naked women appeared before him, and many familiar faces were among them, such as Qing Tan, Shen Huang, Shen Xinya, Zhang Chen, Feng Yao, Xian Xianqin, Yun Xinyue, and many other women.

”Do those people really believe that these illusionary women can seduce me?” Zhang Fei immediately stood up, unleashing his aura to knock them all back. He then released the pink gas from his body and moved towards them. He also used his enhanced demon touch on all of them, causing them to burn with their own lust. ”Hahaha! You guys can satisfy yourselves, and I will enjoy this beautiful view from here.”

[Master, keep in mind that thereʼs one more test left, and the last one has something to do with your karma.]

”I donʼt know what awaits me after this, but I just need to wait for this lust test to end, and I am confident that I will pass it.” After Zhang Fei waited for an hour, all the women finally disappeared from his sight. He immediately summoned the demon extermination sword, readying himself to face his karma, particularly the retribution of his bad karma.

Zhang Fei immediately looked up into the sky as soon as a collection of black clouds appeared above him, and flashes of lightning could be seen from them. ”Do they intend to use lightning tribulations to test me? Does this mean I just have to survive them?”

Countless people suddenly appeared in front of him, and all of them were people who had been his enemies and died at his hands, including Zhang He and Chen Xin.

However, the figure of a little girl among them drew Zhang Feiʼs attention, but he was certain he had never known her before. He suddenly felt a sharp prick inside his brain, and his eyes shook as if he remembered something. ”Ugh!”

[Ding]

[The system detected an abnormal activity in the hostʼs brain.]

Mei was shocked by the notification. [Master! I donʼt know who that little girl is, but you must control yourself because your final test in this challenge is underway!]

As he continued to stare at the little girlʼs figure, Zhang Fei took a deep breath and squeezed the hilt of his sword. Those people suddenly moved towards him and attacked him directly, so he immediately avoided them, but several lightning bolts suddenly descended.

”If I had never faced two lightning tribulations before, I might be afraid of you guys, but Iʼm no longer afraid.” Zhang Fei immediately flew into the sky and met the lightning bolts head-on, causing them to strike his body and electrocute him directly. ”Damn it! They were just illusions, but the attacks felt so real!

Zhang Fei ignored the pain as his regenerative healing factor continued to restore his body. He moved towards the other lightning bolts, but suddenly, those people flew towards him and attacked him once more. ”Since Iʼve already killed you all once, Iʼll kill you all a second time.”

Zhang Feiʼs fight this time was not easy, especially since all those people had the same strength and speed. Fortunately, they did not have his techniques or other abilities, especially his enhanced condition ability. Furthermore, those lightning bolts kept falling from the sky to attack him, and he could not avoid them, so he was forced to fight those people while enduring the pain.

Given their overwhelming numbers, Zhang Fei chose to fly in order to evade them. He then used his qi to control the hongxi dagger and ordered the demon extermination sword to block their attacks.

As he fled, Zhang Fei hurriedly put on the abyssal demon equipment set. Once he had everything on, he immediately attacked those people with his black halberd.

Since they were only illusions and Zhang Fei couldnʼt absorb them, he decided to use the Abyssal Lightning Tribulation to attack them in a specific area. Additionally, he used the Nine Nether Fiends Summoning to summon those nine darkness creatures.
