Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 69: Chu Yingʼs Suitor

Chu Clan - Main Hall

While Zhang Fei was hunting beasts, two young men came to visit the Chu Clan, and both were quite handsome.

One young man has long black hair, is dressed in all black, has a tall and slender build, and has an overly serious expression.

While the other young man had shoulder-length brown hair and was dressed all in green, his body wasnʼt too tall, and he was also a little chubby; moreover, his expression was more childish and playful.

They didnʼt seem to like each other, but they both came with the same goal.

”I apologize for my sudden arrival, Aunt Qingyu.” The young man with long black hair spoke first very politely. ”But I have liked Chu Ying for a long time, so today I have come to ask for her hand, and I hope that you will agree to it, Aunt Qingyu.”

”Donʼt agree to his request, Aunt Qingyu.” The shoulder-length, brown-haired young man interrupted. ”I also came here to ask for Chu Yingʼs hand, Aunt Qingyu. I have also liked her for a long time, and I am sure that she will be much happier if she is with me.”

Liu Qingyu, who was sitting in front of them, couldnʼt help but shake her head at their antics; actually, she already knew that they both liked her eldest daughter for a long time, but she never responded to their feelings. In addition, there was now a third man present among them, and it was clear that she was deeply in love with the third man.

”Unfortunately, I have to refuse the request of the two of you, Ye Hang and Zhao Yun.” Lin Qingyu replied with a soft sigh, and they looked at her in disbelief, then she continued. ”Iʼve known for a long time that you two like my daughter, but Yingʼer never liked you two. Moreover, she has now chosen another man as her husband, and my husband has also agreed to their relationship.”

”What!?” Ye Hang and Zhao Yun shouted in shock at the same time, and their eyes widened in disbelief.

The young man with shoulder-length brown hair then said. ”Tell me the identity of that man, Aunt Qingyu. I want to challenge him to a fight; if he loses, he must leave Chu Ying!”

”You really are being disrespectful, Fatty Ye!” Zhao Yun scolded Ye Hang.

Ye Hang just snorted at him. ”Humph!”

Zhao Yun shook his head, and then he asked Liu Qingyu. ”Can I meet Chu Ying and her future husband, Aunt Qingyu?”

”They-”

Before Liu Qingyu answered him, Chu Ying had already walked in, as she asked. ”Why do you want to meet me, Zhao Yun? My mother already explained to you two about my future husband, right?”

Chu Ying then sat leisurely beside Liu Qingyu, and she did not look at them at all. In fact, she had always felt uncomfortable around them, as they had always been exaggerating when they tried to get close to her, especially Ye Hang.

”Hey, Chu Ying! Call that man here; let us fight to determine who is the best among us and the best man who deserves to be your husband.” Ye Hang said arrogantly. As a young master of the Ye Clan, he is indeed famous for being unruly and arrogant.

Unlike Ye Hang, Zhao Yun also has his arrogance, but he can also be calm and polite, and he doesnʼt like to boast like Ye Hang.

Chu Yingʼs face darkened at Ye Hangʼs words, and then she compared Ye Hang to Zhang Fei. ”You want to know who is better? Let me tell you, Ye Hang. First, his face is much more handsome than yours. Second, your body is much fatter and shorter than him. Third, he is not a braggart like you.”

”Pfft!” Zhao Yun burst out laughing at Chu Yingʼs words, even Liu Qingyu tried hard to hold back her laughter.

”You-”

”You what?” Chu Ying interrupted him with a sneer. ”Everyone in this city thinks of you that way too, you know? Do you think you can do as you please by relying on your Ye Clan? Even the Chu and Liu Clans are much better than your Ye Clan, but I have never boasted about my clans like you.”

Ye Hang was speechless, and he couldnʼt refute Chu Yingʼs words because the Chu and Liu clans were indeed far superior to the Ye Clan.

”Humph!” Chu Ying snorted at Ye Hang, then she turned to Zhao Yun. ”As you have heard from my mother, Zhao Yun. I have already chosen my husband, so I hope you can accept the facts, and there are many other women out there who like you.”

Zhao Yun couldnʼt help but sigh, and he nodded to her. ”I understand, Chu Ying. Then-”

”Mom! Big sis!”

Chu Qing suddenly ran into the main hall carrying a Python-Tailed Tiger cub; Zhang Lin followed behind her, and she also carried a Python-Tailed Tiger cub.

”Python-Tailed Tiger Cubs!” Ye Hang and Zhao Yun exclaimed in shock when they saw the two tiger cubs in their arms.

”Why did you bring them here, Qingʼer?” Liu Qingyu asked with a raised eyebrow, but she was then surprised because the two Python-Tailed Tiger cubs were already much bigger than when they were just born.

”Look closely, Mom! Theyʼre growing really fast!” Chu Qing said as she held the Python-Tailed Tiger cub in her hands, and it let out a low roar.

”En, these two tiger cubs are really weird; their growth is really fast.” Liu Qingyu nodded in agreement, then she looked closely at the two tiger cubs, but she didnʼt find anything unusual on their bodies.

”Cough… Where did you get those two Python-Tailed Tiger cubs, Chu Qing?” Zhao Yun asked seriously, and his eyes were fixed on the two beasts.

Ye Hang was the same as him; his eyes were fixed on the two beasts, and he seemed to want to snatch the two tiger cubs from them.

”Oh, Zhao Yun?” Chu Qing turned to him in surprise, but then she replied with a proud smile. ”It was Fei who got these two Python-Tailed Tiger cubs; their mother passed them to him before she died.”

”Fei?” Zhao Yun and Ye Hang raised their eyebrows, as they had never heard of Zhang Feiʼs name before.

”En.” Chu Qing nodded. ”His name is Zhang Fei, and he is my husband as well as my big sisterʼs husband.”
