If he could inherit the teacher’s secret techniques without having to use up an eyeball, Daozi would be very pleased.

Although both ‘Sage’s eyes’ had already been given to Tyrannical Song, and ownership had gone over to the other party.

But after all, this is one of the teacher’s few remaining legacies.

There are only so many relics left by the Sage, and each one used is one less, never to be replenished.

If it could be made recyclable, Daozi would naturally support it with all his might.

After making the agreement, the Will of the Heavens + several rulers of the Netherworld + several of the top Immortals + Lady Kunna, who silently contributed behind the scenes, joined hands to tackle a technical problem together.

After contributing his ‘Heavenly Dao Level Computational Ability,’ Daozi then immersed himself in researching the ‘Dark Sun’ project—he aimed to rapidly develop the technology for [If Merged with the Ruler of Netherworld].

Senior White two would assist Daozi’s research, as he is one of the few existences who can look directly at ‘immortal information’ without being greatly affected, so during the research of the Dark Sun, Senior White two would use the ‘golden thigh’ as a carrier to participate in Daozi’s project.

At the same time, Senior White two has a group of ‘research-oriented clones’ who will study with Cheng Lin and the ninth dragon pattern on [how to connect the Sage’s eye with the undying fat whale golden core], turning the Sage’s eye from a one-time-use battery into a power bank.

Cheng Goudan will split into two parts, with the extra part preparing to make contact with the sealed fat ball big shot in advance, getting to know the fat ball’s aura, power attributes, body data and so on in preparation for the ‘perfectly reincarnated Dark Song’.

As for the core person of this project, ‘Dark Song’, he only needs to preside over the ‘Demon Sea World’ and quietly wait for the big shots to finish their preparations.

At most, like Tyrannical Song himself, he’d occasionally act as the subject of research.

After all, the main task for Dark Song and Tyrannical Song isn’t ‘research projects,’ but closed-door cultivation.

In order to take care of Song Shuhang, and to enable researchers from both the Netherworld and the main world to conduct experiments in the same environment, Daozi thoughtfully set up Tyrannical Song’s secluded cultivation time in a rift between the Netherworld and the main world.

Thus, whether it is the ruler of Netherworld Senior White two, or Cheng Lin, Heavenly Emperor’s child, and others, they all can enter the time-distorted secret realm, and using the ‘time extension’ of the secret realm, they will be able to carve out more time for research.

…

…

Inside the time-distorted secret realm.

Song Shuhang’s main body bathed and changed clothes.

He donned a set of plain white garments and even specially burned incense and lit candles, filling the air with a sense of ceremony.

“So, what should I do next?” Tyrannical Song asked aloud.

This was his first time making such formal and serious preparations for seclusion. Moreover, this time he wasn’t closing up for just a day or two, or a month or two—he was mentally prepared to be in closed-door cultivation for decades!

“You don’t even know what to do? Then why are you closing up? Forget closing up, wash up and sleep.” Senior Scarlet Heaven Sword’s technique for poking Song Shuhang’s solar plexus had already reached an effortless level.

Song Shuhang: “…”

“Our main purpose for this closed-door cultivation is to ‘perfect the Second Immortality’,” Song Shuhang announced. His shoulder hosted Song Fat Ball, who had switched from a windbreaker to a dashing cape, and spoke up with a reminder.

“Not achieving our goal, we swear not to emerge from seclusion!”

The connection between Song Fat Ball and the fat ball of the Netherworld Realm had now been personally shielded by Daozi—before long, once Dark Song and Qiu Youyou fully fused, Song Shuhang would become the true main body of Song Fat Ball!

Even the Daoist Senior had a deeper plan—he was secretly observing Song Fat Ball and if he felt it appropriate, the Daoist Senior was prepared to have Song Fat Ball join in the fusion of Dark Song and Qiu Youyou. At that time, the newly-born Song Qiu Youyou would become a true asset to Song Shuhang, just like Song Fat Ball is now. No longer would Tyrannical Song have to multitask and control them separately.

With him guiding in the dark, there’s no worry Song Fat Ball will revert to being a fat ball… even if he collapsed from the Heavenly Dao position, at least for the next eighty to a hundred years, Song Fat Ball’s consciousness would not change.

As for what happens after a hundred and eighty years… there’s even less worry about that.

By then, either Tyrannical Song would have proved his Dao and achieved immortality, and Song Fat Ball would forever be Song Fat Ball.

Or, everyone’s plan failed, and the myriad realms perished in the ‘Dark Sun’ scheme… if the world is doomed, what’s there to worry about?

“A study schedule? Indeed, I need such a thing,” Song Shuhang said as he threw off his cape and sat down cross-legged.

“Firstly, the ultimate goal is to ‘perfect the Second Immortality’, so all our lessons should be arranged with this as the premise.”

Chu Pavilion Lord’s Dumb Hair gently perked up, “Do you have any ideas?”

“I do, after borrowing Daoist Senior’s ‘Heavenly Dao’s Vision’ to observe myriad realms, I’ve been inspired. Moreover, accessing the immortal information of Daoist Senior and the Dark Sun has given me much to benefit from,” Song Shuhang answered with a nod.

After speaking, he took out paper and pen, and wrote down, “First Lesson: Study the Way to Immortality!”

After some thought, he added two words—Plenty!

Song Shuhang’s ‘Second Immortality’ is too vast; he needs plenty of theories on the way to immortality to inspire him.

Stones from other mountains can be used to polish jade.

“We can offer our own information on the path to immortality,” Zither Master’s Claw said, “But if you want plenty, I’m afraid a few of us won’t be enough, right?”

Song Fat Ball’s cape said, “This issue is a minor one! Next, I will actively replace the main body and venture into the myriad realms to battle. This time, I will be the one to initiate challenges… Any defeated foes will have to pay a price. I will bring all the losers here, and have them personally explain the mysteries of the ‘Way to Immortality’ to the main body!”

“Brilliant!” Fellow Daoist Stone Tablet nodded, “I can lend a helping hand to Cape Friend, take me with you. Furthermore, bring that Eight-Armed Ancient Heavenly Demon big shot; he can split up with us to challenge myriad realms.”

“Does the main body have any specific requirements for the Immortals?” Song Fat Ball asked again in his cape form.

After pondering for a moment, Song Shuhang replied, “Hmm, preferably those related to the categories of ‘Virtue’ and ‘Life and Death’ for the way to immortality, with priority given to them. Moreover… it would be best if we had samples from the Immortals of every major race in the myriad realms. If there aren’t any Immortals for a certain power system, top Tribulation Immortals are also acceptable.”

After entering the dream of Daozi, he had gained some clues about the Second Immortality.

Different races, different power systems, whether human, monster, demon, or ghost… in the Second Immortality, they all had a place.

Moreover, the Second Immortality doesn’t need to be comprehended all at once like the First Immortality.

His Second Immortality… could be assembled modularly, piece by piece.

This possibility gave Song Shuhang hope for perfecting the Second Method.
