The glassy Fairy Cheng Lin had already begun to grasp some of the changes in the Heavenly Emperor’s child during their short contact.

For instance, right now, the Heavenly Emperor’s child placed great importance on “Tyrannical Song.”

In many matters, she was willing to give Song Shuhang some face.

Even in the midst of battle, when encountering matters of great relevance to Song Shuhang, she would pause slightly.

It seemed that some time ago, the moment she “died under Tyrannical Song’s blade,” she and Song Shuhang had established a deep karmic connection. Song Shuhang’s future had already become linked with hers.

Therefore, facing such a situation, the glassy Fairy Cheng Lin directly revealed her true intentions.

She knew that Song Shuhang was aiming to prove his “eternity” as well.

Daozi had already informed their alliance members about the “Stellar Destruction Virus + Dark Sun” affair.

One’s power is limited; to push “Tyrannical Song” to the position of the ninth Heavenly Dao, Daozi still needed the assistance of alliance members.

Among the members of the alliance, the Eight-Armed Primordial Heavenly Demon had sworn to assist Tyrannical Song in proving his Dao, Daoist Priest Scarlet Heaven had a hobby of nurturing the Heavenly Dao, the Great Master of Buddha Temple held Song Shuhang, who had cultivated the ❮Basic Buddhist Fist Technique❯, in high regard, and Song Shuhang and Fairy Cheng Lin had always been Tyrannical Song’s backers.

So, when thinking about giving “Tyrannical Song” a push, Daozi immediately thought of his group of friends.

“Giving birth to Dark Song?” The Heavenly Emperor’s child looked at Cheng Lin with a strange gaze.

“Don’t look at me like that… In fact, one of our main functions when we were created by Heavenly Dao Goudan’s father through secret techniques was to preserve Sovereign of the Nine Hells Father Goudan,” the glassy Fairy Cheng Lin said slowly.

The Heavenly Emperor’s child: “Us?”

“Yes, us,” the glassy Fairy Cheng Lin said. “And the cost of the secret technique was that the original ghostly body of Cheng Lin shattered into countless pieces. These fragments, after countless years of evolution, gave birth to ‘petty ghost spirits.’ A portion of them were collected by Father Goudan and transformed into ‘Cheng Lin.’ Another portion was collected by the liquefied metal ball, underwent a series of experiments, and became you.”

The Heavenly Emperor’s child: “Is this why you want to merge with me?”

“Actually, whether we merge or not doesn’t have much significance anymore. The companions from the ancient Heavenly City have already broken free… You no longer hold any significance for a merger to me,” said the glassy Fairy Cheng Lin with a look of disdain.

Her initial intention of wanting to swallow the Heavenly Emperor was mainly to sabotage the ‘Heavenly City plan’ and incidentally free her precious friends from the pathway of the Heavenly Emperor.

Now, with the help of the 8.5 Daozi plan, she had achieved her goal.

Currently, she wanted to use the secret techniques to preserve ‘Dark Song.’

Although Dark Song possessed the ‘ruler of the Netherworld authority,’ it was barely considered a ruler of the Netherworld, but there was still a distinction from the true ruler of the Netherworld.

The cost to preserve Dark Song would not be as severe as preserving Father Goudan back then. They could even manage it without merging with the Heavenly Emperor’s child.

The Heavenly Emperor’s child: “…”

Why did being disdained make her feel so uncomfortable?

“Although I don’t know which path to immortality Tyrannical Song will specifically use to prove ‘eternity,’ I have a feeling that preserving Dark Song will be very important,” said the glassy Fairy Cheng Lin seriously.

That was her genuine thought.

She had learned from Cheng Lin that Tyrannical Song and Senior White were discussing the possibility of ‘two different entities achieving immortality simultaneously’ and using such an approach to perfectly prove their Dao.

Tyrannical Song and Senior White had already worked out a roughly feasible plan—using the Scholarly Sage’s Eye to absorb half of one another and then combining with complementary ‘ways to immortality,’ theoretically achieving the possibility of ‘simultaneous proving of the Dao.’

Theoretically, this was a feasible plan.

But plans are always risky when placing all your bets on them… it’s best to have a Plan B, and even better to have Plan C, D, E, and so on.

What she wanted now was to quietly prepare a Plan B for Song Shuhang and Senior White.

—What are the characteristics of the Heavenly Dao?

They are the eternal attribute, the laws of the Heavenly Dao held in hand, and the ruler of the Netherworld.

Though Tyrannical Song had not yet proved his Dao, he already had an ‘undying fat whale golden core’ and the ‘ruler of the Netherworld.’ Moreover, he had entered the dreamland of ‘Daozi’ and obtained some of Heaven’s Will…

So, if Song Shuhang and Senior White’s ‘first plan’ failed, they could try to let Song Shuhang ‘not follow the conventional path of proving eternal life’ and see if, by gathering all the characteristics of the Heavenly Dao, he could create a ‘man-made Heavenly Way’ that might meet the requirements?

“`

Across from him, the child of the Heavenly Emperor fell silent for a long while.

“I’ll help you,” she suddenly spoke up.

“You’re actively going to fuse with me?” Glass Gemstone Fairy Cheng Lin exclaimed in surprise, “Then we could change our name to Cheng Mudi, or Cheng Tiantou.”

The child of the Heavenly Emperor: “…”

Farewell!

…

…

In the Netherworld Realm.

Dark Song suddenly shivered, “I have this constant feeling that someone is plotting against me.”

He shook his head and stood up.

Under his feet lay the ‘Demon Sea World’ which had been transformed by the head of the Limitless Demon Sect—the Demon Emperor Og.

Originally, the plan was to incorporate this Demon Sea World into the ‘Overlord World,’ making it correspond with it.

However, due to the main body always getting inexplicably involved in various incidents, this matter had been delayed.

Dark Song was not in a hurry—as the Sovereign of the Netherworld, he vaguely sensed that the time to fuse with the ‘Demon Sea World’ had not yet come.

“Speaking of which, isn’t that ‘Demon Emperor Og’ still getting struck by lightning at Senior Three-Eyed’s place?” Dark Song stroked his chin.

That is an Immortal level existence; it would be better to bring him back when free to work for me than to let him continue getting struck by lightning.

There’s also the final bet with that three-eyed young senior that I need to push the main body to complete. If I don’t finish it soon, what’s the point of the bet once I become the Heavenly Dao?

While thinking, Dark Song turned his gaze towards the source of the Netherworld Realm.

There, a ball of liquid metal had finally finished maturing!

Senior White two’s languid figure also finally stepped out of the Sinful Black Lotus World.

“Senior White, how are you feeling?” Dark Song asked with some concern.

“Not too good… Normally, this would be the time for my hibernation. But there have been so many events in the past year, I’ve hardly had time to even take a nap,” sighed Senior White two.

He is a unique Sovereign of the Netherworld, continuing to assert his authority in the Netherworld Realm even though his corresponding Heavenly Dao Body is gone.

But there is a price to pay. The compulsory hibernation from time to time is that price.

Now, he is extremely tired but has to keep pushing through.

After all… the fat ball is back.

“Netherly White~~” Just then, a sharp voice rang out from the source of the Netherworld Realm.

“Tsck, it seems it still has its memories. What a troublesome fellow,” Senior White two said, the corners of his mouth slightly lifting.

He had thought the reborn fat ball might suffer from amnesia.

Now, from its endearing call, it was apparent that it remembered him.

Boom~

The Netherworld Realm exploded.

The fat ball crossed through the space gate and appeared directly in front of Senior White two.

One ball, one White, one Song—three powers in a standoff.
