There was a deep-seated hatred between the scholarly system and the liquefied metal ball, just as there was a feud of annihilation between them and Netherworld’s fat ball.

Originally, in the last battle of the Heavenly Dao seat war, even if the scholarly Sage had been defeated and died at the hands of the liquefied metal ball, his scholarly disciples would have no complaints.

The battle for the Heavenly Dao seat was a matter of life and death by its very nature, not child’s play. There was no option for a peaceful battle.

As such, even if one died, they could not blame others.

You couldn’t expect every major player to have the upright disposition of a scholarly Sage.

——Back then, those Immortals who came to challenge the scholarly Sage—if they did not thoroughly provoke him or cross his bottom line—generally ended up being rubbed against the ground by the Sage until they were severely injured, but still left alive.

Challengers left with seals by the scholarly Sage after being severely injured like Demon Emperor Og were few.

And this was the reason why the scholars unanimously acknowledged the Sage…

However, an accident occurred in the final battle between the scholarly Sage and the liquefied metal ball. A piece of the latter’s existence was cut away, rendering it incomplete.

Upon becoming the Heavenly Dao, its first act was to annihilate the scholarly system, seeking to recover the portion of its existence that had been taken by the scholarly Sage…

Actually, both sides had their reasons for action.

But for the scholarly disciples, the annihilation of their system naturally led to a blood feud.

Hate, in many cases, doesn’t really pick sides between justice or the foulest evil.

Reality is not simply black or white.

But in any case, hate is hate.

A blood feud is a grudge.

Moreover… later on, Netherworld Ruler Fat Ball would send demons at regular intervals to wipe out the scholarly system in the main world, thoroughly suppressing them and preventing any chance for growth.

Therefore, no matter the reason, if the scholarly disciples got a chance, they would absolutely not let either the liquefied metal ball or Netherworld’s fat ball off the hook.

How to repay a favor? Return the favor directly for a grudge, and repay kindness with kindness!

To those who had shown great kindness to the scholarly system, the scholars would seek to repay in full… for those who bore a grudge against them, they would be met with an iron fist.

Now, ‘Daozi’, serving as 8.5’s incarnation of the Heavenly Dao, had caught the opportunity for direct retribution.

[It’s not the liquefied metal ball?] Netherworld’s fat ball was taken aback.

Finally, it realized the anomaly in its resurrection—it wasn’t the ‘liquefied metal ball’ that had come back to life, but a strange existence that had taken the place of the ‘liquefied metal ball’.

Just as the Netherworld had seen Tyrannical Song scheming for a throne usurpation, was there someone else challenging the position of the Heavenly Dao too?

At this moment, Netherworld’s fat ball truly wanted to kill its counterpart, the liquefied metal ball, and then drag it out for a posthumous whipping.

That idiot had made a mess of things, turning a perfectly good situation into the current one!

Even more exasperating was that after all its meddling, the stupid liquefied metal ball had just disappeared, leaving behind a mess for it to clean up.

It was having such a hard time.

Looking over the numerous rulers of the Netherworld, it might just be the most miserable one.

Others like Netherly White had it easy. Before dissipating, the Sky’s Will ensured Netherly White was preserved and lived a comfortable life.

And what about itself? During its reign, it had to clean up the mess of its stupid Heavenly Dao counterpart, confronting the scholarly system on its behalf, searching for that portion of ‘existence’ that the scholarly Sage had cut off, and finding ways to make up for the deficiency in the Heavenly Dao.

In the end, it still had to find a way to just barely survive!

Compared to White, Netherworld’s fat ball’s tears almost fell.

It was so tragic.

[I may have forgotten who I am, but… you will definitely not forget this fist.] At this time, Daozi’s voice rang out once more.

“Not good, Daoist Senior is about to lose his temper,” Dark Song said.

Senior White Two reached out to grasp Dark Song, and his figure slightly retreated, distancing them from Qiu Youyou.

Following this, a space gate opened beside Netherworld’s fat ball.

“Come, die!” Daozi’s voice thundered.

The next moment, a series of punches burst from the space gate, hammering on fat ball’s body.

The punches were like meteors, resembling Tyrannical Song’s ❮Basic Buddhist Fist Technique❯ Number Two mode—Meteor punches!

“`

Fist against flesh!

With each punch, mercury-like liquid metal splattered from the fat ball’s liquid metal body.

Boom, clap, boom, clap—

The crude and simple ‘Knowledge’s Iron Fist’ made fat ball recall the once dominating fear of being ruled by the iron fists of the Sage of Confucianism.

What made it suffer even more was that it was now being hit by the Dao of Heaven… moreover, by a Heavenly Dao that had usurped the liquefied metal ball.

The other party had some control over the ‘Heavenly Dao ball,’ possessing functions specifically targeting Netherworld’s fat ball.

Under such targeting, fat ball simply couldn’t dodge or resist when the other party punched.

All it could do was grit its teeth and endure the brutal beating.

It was all the damn fault of that stupid Heavenly Dao ball!

If the other party hadn’t ascended by borrowing the position of the Heavenly Dao ball, it wouldn’t be able to target him… and under the authority boost of the Netherworld Realm, it at least wouldn’t seem so powerless, so weak.

It’s just too face-losing.

…

…

After a series of visually explosive fist techniques, fat ball’s form kept shrinking, from an initial radius of a hundred meters as a large ball until it was beaten down to the size of only one meter.

It had been reduced to its core!

The fist technique of Daozi had truly mastered the sacred teachings of the Sage of Confucianism.

After a round of ‘Knowledge’s Iron Fist,’ the grievances in the heart of the Daozi facing him had been somewhat vented, and he stopped the action of opening spatial passages to violently hammer the fat ball.

— If Daozi weren’t in a good mood right now, having resolved the side effects of the resurrection of his Confucian brothers and sisters, a full round of his iron fists would have left fat ball in a state where it couldn’t recover for hundreds of years.

“Member of Confucianism.” Fat ball eyed the spatial passages, his voice so pained it was nearly distorted.

Opposite him, Daozi spoke slowly, “Daozi, the Chief Disciple of Confucianism!”

When he had just made his move, like the last time he battled the Black Sun, he controlled his strength, not completely exploding the fat ball in one go—because he wanted the other party to know who was bursting it!

Vengeance felt pointless if you just exploded the other party; there was no sense of accomplishment.

You had to let the other party know who was taking revenge on them before being completely exploded for revenge to be meaningful.

Otherwise, if the other party closed their eyes and died without knowing who killed them, what was the point?

“I never expected you guys to usurp your way onto the Heavenly Dao seat.” Fat ball was shaking so much in pain that it felt like his liver hurt—even though it didn’t have a liver, it might be because of the illusory pain from studying Tyrannical Song’s necrotic kidney a few months ago.

Confucianism, the last system that should have become the members of the Heavenly Dao, had usurped their way to its position.

That stupid Heavenly Dao ball!!

Even giving the ‘Heavenly Dao seat’ to White or Tyrannical Song would have been better than giving it to members of Confucianism.

“Now that you know who I am, let us settle our score once and for all,” Daozi said as he clenched his fists again.

This next punch would end the long-standing grievances between Confucianism and the Netherworld’s fat ball!

In the future, once he’d completely vanished from the Heavenly Dao seat, the ruler of the Netherworld’s fat ball would also dissipate.

…

…

Meanwhile, to the side.

Next to Dark Song, a spatial passage opened up.

Glass gemstone-colored Cheng Lin and the child of the Heavenly Emperor arrived together!

The two beings who had previously been at each other’s throats were now coexisting peacefully.
