“This is about the possibility of two different entities achieving the Dao simultaneously,” Song Shuhang replied.

On the other end, Senior White Two remained silent for a while.

“Have you found the answer?” Senior White Two asked, his tone suddenly serious.

Song Shuhang nodded. “I’ve got a bit of a clue. Earlier, after the ‘Daoist Senior’ achieved Dao, he used the Heavenly Dao’s authority to calculate some of the information related to my ‘Path to Immortality.’ This information contains the concepts of ‘dead beyond dead, neither alive nor dead.’”

“What’s the principle behind this Path to Immortality?” Present-World Senior White asked.

“I haven’t figured it out yet,” Song Shuhang replied.

Senior White Two said, “Present-World White, don’t make it hard on Shuhang. The principles behind immortality are too complex. It’s impossible for him to comprehend them fully in such a short time. Besides, even if he doesn’t grasp the ‘principle,’ as long as this is confirmed as a ‘Path to Immortality,’ and has been verified by the Heavenly Dao, then even without understanding the principle, Shuhang can still achieve Dao if he keeps cultivating it.”

The principle isn’t important; what matters is that it’s a Path to Immortality. Just keep pushing forward.

Senior White agreed. “Makes sense.”

Song Shuhang was speechless.

Are the two Senior Whites teaming up to mess with me?

Senior White said, “Shuhang, go ahead and share your thoughts.”

“I’ve actually been trying to deduce the principle of this Path to Immortality… During the process, this ‘neither alive nor dead’ Path to Immortality inspired another idea in me!” Song Shuhang explained. “Back then, the clue left by the Heavenly Dao White was ‘two different entities achieving Dao simultaneously,’ but it didn’t mention whether these two entities were dead or alive.”

“So, you’re considering the possibility of one entity being alive and the other dead. The living one achieves Dao normally, while the dead one tags along in a ‘death state’ to become immortal?” Senior White Two followed Song Shuhang’s line of thinking.

Song Shuhang nodded. “Right. If one of the entities is dead, could this loophole in the Heavenly Dao be exploited?”

Neither of the Senior Whites responded immediately. They each began thinking and calculating.

After a while…

“There’s a problem… If it’s dead, how does it achieve immortality?” Senior White asked.

“The concept of immortality in the Heavenly Dao includes the idea of ‘undying and indestructible.’ If you attempt to use ‘death’ to achieve Dao, it might conflict with that concept,” Senior White Two said, rubbing his chin.

“There’s also another issue. How does the ‘alive’ side cooperate with the ‘dead’ side’s Path to Immortality to allow them to achieve Dao together?” Senior White added.

Song Shuhang thought for a long time before asking, “So, is the plan of one alive and one dead not feasible?”

“Not necessarily. Our understanding of ‘Heavenly Dao’ and ‘immortality’ is still limited. Your idea is at least a starting point. There’s a chance it can be further developed,” Senior White Two said.

Senior White chimed in, “Speaking of further development, I just had a thought—I’m quite interested in how the Confucian Daoist achieved ‘immortality.’ Maybe there’s a connection between the two?”

“What’s the theory behind the Confucian Daoist’s immortal achievement?” Senior White Two asked.

“I suspect the Daoist Senior’s achievement of Dao might be related to the ‘Ancient Heavenly Court Fragments’ and the Heavenly Dao Fat Ball’s ‘self-completion plan.’ We can ask a few of the involved parties for more details. Senior White, hold on a second; let me pull someone in,” Song Shuhang said.

After passing the ‘neither alive nor dead’ Path to Immortality data to Song Shuhang, the Daoist Heavenly Dao immediately went off to adjust to some of the ‘Heavenly Dao’s authority.’

Since the 8.5th Heavenly Dao is destined to be temporary, the Daoist Senior must race against time to fulfill everyone’s desires within the limited time available.

He’s working to undo the ‘incomplete resurrection’ side effects for his junior brothers.

He’s lifting the ancestral curse from the ‘Eight-Armed Primordial Demon.’

He’s breaking the shackles on the immortals from the ‘Ancient Heavenly Court’ for Fairy Cheng Lin.

And if time permits, he’d like to do a favor for little friend Tyrant Song, to settle an old debt.

The Daoist is quite busy.

So, Song Shuhang didn’t want to disturb the Daoist Senior.

He opened his ‘Cultivation Chat System’ friend list, lightly tapped Fairy Cheng Lin’s name, and added her to a temporary discussion group.

System Notification: [Blacklist 1: Deader than Dead Fairy] Fairy Goudan has joined the discussion group.

Fairy Cheng Lin: “???”

Song Shuhang: “(｡･∀･)ﾉﾞ Hi, Fairy Goudan~”

Fairy Cheng Lin: “???”

Fairy Cheng Lin: “Why push so hard? Song Goudan, I don’t care why you pulled me in, but just for calling me that, goodbye—no, forever goodbye!”

“Fairy Cheng Lin, please wait. It’s not me who’s looking for you; Senior White wants to ask you something,” Song Shuhang hurriedly said.

Fairy Cheng Lin glanced at the two Whites in the discussion group. “…”

“Master White, what do you need?” Fairy Cheng Lin asked.

Senior White nodded and asked, “Fairy Cheng Lin, could you share the principle behind the Daoist Senior’s achievement of immortality?”

“The 8.5th Heavenly Dao Plan?” Fairy Cheng Lin asked back.

Senior White Two said, “So, it wasn’t the 9th Heavenly Dao… Interesting.”

“The plan has already succeeded, so sharing some details isn’t a problem,” Fairy Cheng Lin replied.

She then explained the details of the ‘8.5th Heavenly Dao Plan’ to the two Senior Whites.

After hearing the plan’s details, even Senior White Two couldn’t help but praise, “Fairy Cheng Lin, the plan you all devised is truly astonishing.”

The plan was bold yet meticulous.

Most importantly, it succeeded.

As long as it succeeds, no matter how risky or aggressive the plan was, it will be seen as perfect.

“Thank you for the compliment, Maswter White. Now that I’ve explained everything, can I leave the group?” Fairy Cheng Lin asked.

“Fairy Cheng Lin, please hold on. I’d like you to stay in the group. The next topic we’re discussing might require your input,” Senior White requested.

Initially ready to bid Song Goudan a permanent farewell, Fairy Cheng Lin pondered for a moment after Senior White’s request and then nodded. “Alright, I’ll give you this favor.”

“Thank you,” Senior White said with a slight smile before continuing, “Also, would the Daoist Heavenly Dao’s situation count as two different entities achieving immortality?”

The Fat Ball is an independent entity, and the 8.5th Heavenly Dao ‘Daoist’ is also an independent entity.

“That’s right! The 8.5th Heavenly Dao consists of the Daoist Senior plus the Heavenly Dao Ball, making them two distinct entities!” Song Shuhang’s eyes lit up.

“But this isn’t ‘simultaneous achievement.’ What we need are two different entities achieving Dao at the same time,” Senior White Two pointed out.

Senior White nodded. “Yes, but… this is still a direction to explore. By combining the ‘neither alive nor dead’ Path to Immortality that Shuhang mentioned earlier, we might be able to have two ‘neither alive nor dead’ entities complement each other’s flaws. Then, using the 8.5th Heavenly Dao’s method of self-completion, we could achieve the possibility of ‘simultaneous achievement.’”
