Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

Anna Nash saw that Caleb Blackwood was unresponsive. Her hand started moving downward, and soon, she had aroused him.

Caleb Blackwood grabbed Anna Nash’s hand. ”What makes you think I would want your child?”

”Plenty of women want to bear my children. Anna Nash, I despise women who think they’re clever,” Caleb Blackwood said, his voice frigid.

Anna Nash smiled. ”You may not know this, but I’ve recorded some videos.”

”What videos?”

”Videos of us, of course. Of all our ’happy’ times together. Want to take another look?”

With that, Anna Nash pulled away from Caleb Blackwood’s embrace. She picked up her phone, played a video, and held it in front of him.

On the screen, two figures were tangled together. Both Caleb Blackwood’s and Anna Nash’s faces were perfectly clear, as was what they were doing.

”You...” Caleb Blackwood couldn’t believe it. ’Anna Nash actually recorded videos!’

Anna Nash’s fingers traced across Caleb Blackwood’s body. She smiled brightly. ”It’s not that I did it on purpose,” she said. ”I just knew that the truth—that my baby isn’t Silas’s—would come out sooner or later.”

”So you seduced me and deliberately got pregnant with my child.”

”How could you say that?” Anna Nash laughed. ”I already told you, it’s because I like you... Daddy.”

”Aren’t you just afraid I’ll throw you out of the Blackwood Family, or just have you killed!” Caleb Blackwood said viciously, letting Anna Nash continue her provocations.

”It doesn’t matter. I’ve scheduled the videos to be released automatically. If I don’t cancel the post within a specific time frame, it will be sent out. And when that happens, I’m sure plenty of people will be eager to watch.”

”If you don’t want the Blackwood Family to be utterly ruined, neither of us has a choice... Daddy.”

Caleb Blackwood’s hands flew to Anna Nash’s throat. ”You’re asking to die!”

’He, Caleb Blackwood, had spent most of his life manipulating others, only to be outmaneuvered by a woman in the end.’

Anna Nash just tilted her head back, daring him to squeeze, betting that he wouldn’t actually kill her.

Sure enough, Caleb Blackwood eventually let go.

He couldn’t afford to take that risk. If those photos and videos got out, the Blackwood Family would be finished.

”What do you want?” Caleb Blackwood asked.

”It’s simple,” Anna Nash said. ”I’ll divorce Silas Blackwood, but I want to marry you. I’m already pregnant, after all. It’s not too much to ask to marry the father of my child, is it? Of course, we can keep it private. As long as we don’t say anything, no one will ever know. To the world, I’ll just be your dutiful daughter-in-law.”

”You want me to divorce that woman and marry you?”

’The audacity of this woman!’

”Is there a problem with that, Daddy? You don’t have to give me an answer right away. I’ll be staying here for a few days, so I can wait for you to think it over. Silas will definitely cause trouble for me, but you’ll take care of that, won’t you... Daddy?”

Anna Nash traced circles on Caleb Blackwood’s chest, and his breathing grew ragged.

Anna Nash knelt before him. ”You’re already aroused. Let me help you with that. We might as well enjoy ourselves this time, right?”

Caleb Blackwood felt utterly humiliated, but the sight of Anna Nash kneeling before him in submission brought him a twisted sense of satisfaction.

The room was thick with a sensual atmosphere. Afterward, Anna Nash lay in Caleb Blackwood’s arms.

”Hubby, can I call you that?”

”Don’t push it, Anna Nash!”

”But you clearly liked it when I called you that just now. Hubby, do one more thing for me.”

”What?”

Anna Nash lifted her head. ”Ivy Sherwood was the one who leaked this to Silas. You hate that woman too, don’t you? Get rid of her for me.”

’She hadn’t planned on going after Ivy Sherwood, but Ivy had overstepped. Ivy was the one who tried to destroy her first!’

...

It had been three days since Quentin Blackwood returned to Aethelgard, and Ivy Sherwood was carrying on with work as usual.

With Quentin Blackwood’s guidance, she had also quietly set up her investment firm.

Ivy Sherwood invested in two startups. While it wasn’t a large sum, for the recipient companies, it was a much-needed lifeline.

Every day, Quentin Blackwood would call her countless times. He’d tell her what he was doing, and they’d find they had endless things to say to each other.

Even when they were busy, they would stay on the line while they worked. They didn’t even have to talk; just hearing the tapping of a keyboard or the rustle of turning pages brought a sense of peace.

The days flew by. When it was time to clock out, Ivy didn’t have to work overtime, so she decided to head home early after a quick trip to the supermarket for groceries.

She ended her call with Quentin Blackwood as she entered the supermarket and began selecting items from the shelves.

Suddenly, someone dumped a huge pile of things into her shopping cart. Ivy Sherwood looked up. ”Elijah Hawthorne?”

”Oh, so you do remember me. I was starting to think you’d forgotten who I was.”

”What are you doing here?”

”I followed you.”

”Why did you follow me?”

”Quentin Blackwood isn’t around, so I’m taking the opportunity to score some points.”

Ivy Sherwood didn’t understand. ’Score some points?’

”But I haven’t seen you around lately. I thought you’d gone back to Aethelgard.”

”My company did run into some trouble a while back, all thanks to Quentin Blackwood. But I’ve returned the favor and stirred up some trouble for him, too. Don’t worry, he won’t be back anytime soon.”

Ivy Sherwood: ”...”

’He probably shouldn’t be telling me this.’

”So, you two got back together?” Elijah Hawthorne asked.

”That’s my private business.”

”What’s so great about him? You should consider me instead. I’m not any worse-looking than he is, and I’m certainly not poorer. As for other... aspects, you haven’t tried them yet. What if I’m even better?”

”Stop!” Ivy interrupted. ”You didn’t come all this way just to say things like that, did you?”

”That’s exactly why I’m here. I came to Lustre for you.”

”For me?”

”If Quentin Blackwood has the right to pursue you, why don’t I? Don’t forget, I was the one who bought you a drink when you got dumped.”

”You were threatening me then,” Ivy Sherwood pointed out.

”Then let’s make a bet.”

”Bet on what?”

Elijah Hawthorne took out a metal coin. It looked like a Game Coin.

”Heads, you invite me over for dinner. Tails, I leave right now.”

’Of course. Elijah Hawthorne was a gambler. Did he really enjoy leaving things up to fate this much?’

”And what if I don’t agree to this bet?”

”Then it’s simple. I’ll just follow you around. That’s Quentin Blackwood’s method, isn’t it? Relentless pestering.”

Ivy Sherwood: ”...”

’A fifty-fifty chance... It’s not like she was guaranteed to lose.’

”Fine, I’ll take that bet,” Ivy agreed.

Elijah Hawthorne tossed the Game Coin into the air. As it fell, he caught it and slapped it onto the back of his other hand.

Elijah Hawthorne lifted his hand. The outcome was clear.
