Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

She pleaded, her teary eyes making her look like a captive sprite with broken wings. ”Don’t say any more. I’m begging you, don’t say any more.”

Little did she know, an Ivy Sherwood like this only further awakened the demon in Quentin Blackwood’s soul.

He whispered in her ear, ”Ivy, that’s not how you beg.”

”It only makes someone want to torment you more.”

With that, Quentin Blackwood gave Ivy Sherwood no chance, forcefully taking her.

...

When Ivy Sherwood woke again, it was almost noon.

”You bastard!”

This time, Ivy Sherwood launched herself at Quentin Blackwood, sinking her teeth into his neck and viciously tearing at his flesh.

It was as if she wanted to rip the flesh right off, and she even drew blood.

The veins on Quentin Blackwood’s neck throbbed, but he remained silent, letting Ivy Sherwood bite him.

When Ivy Sherwood finally let go, Quentin Blackwood even offered his arm. ”Want another bite?”

’Of course I do!’

And so, another neat bite mark appeared on Quentin Blackwood’s arm.

Ivy Sherwood was furious, of course, but Quentin Blackwood was delighted—especially after she’d told him she liked him last night.

”Ivy, I have something to tell you,” Quentin Blackwood began.

’It was time to clear the air between them. Ivy might not forgive him, but that was fine. He could just win her over again.’

’He’d underestimated how much Ivy meant to him. He couldn’t live without her anymore.’

”I don’t want to hear it! Get out!”

Quentin Blackwood’s Adam’s apple bobbed. ”The truth is, back then I...”

Ivy Sherwood clapped her hands over her ears. ”You what? You think you can just play with me? That I’m some kind of joke? That you can summon me and dismiss me whenever you want? That you can do whatever you please to me?”

”Or was that not enough for you? Is your revenge still not complete? What more could you possibly want from me now?”

”Let me tell you something, Quentin Blackwood. The only reason I’m not calling the police is because I’m being merciful. I’m choosing not to press charges. Now get out. If my brothers find out about this, ten lives wouldn’t be enough to save you!”

Ivy Sherwood glared at him, her words as vicious as she could make them.

But to Quentin Blackwood, an Ivy like this had no bite at all. In fact, it just made his heart ache for her.

”I...”

’That wasn’t what he meant. He never intended to...’

”I want to win you back.” The words had barely left Quentin Blackwood’s mouth when a slap echoed across his face.

Ivy Sherwood: ”...”

’Maybe I slapped him too soon.’

”You’re insane! If you won’t leave, I will!” With that, Ivy Sherwood tried to scramble out of bed.

’She wouldn’t believe his words again. All this talk about winning her back was a lie. A man like Quentin Blackwood always had an agenda, and she wouldn’t be fooled a second time.’

Seeing that Ivy Sherwood refused to listen and was determined to leave, Quentin Blackwood stopped her. ”You get some rest. I’ll go.”

He’d already had clothes delivered; they were just outside the door.

Wrapped only in a bath towel, Quentin Blackwood went to retrieve the clothes.

He changed right in front of her, without a shred of modesty.

In moments, the beast was dressed and looked impeccably suave.

Ivy Sherwood didn’t want to look at him at all, but he insisted on standing right in front of her. Her gaze involuntarily drifted to a certain spot... and she found herself wondering if his pants were a size too small. Why else would they be bulging like that?

”I’ll be going then. A driver will take you home. As for Charlie Rhodes, I’ve already had him taken care of. If you want him dead, just say the word and he won’t see the sunrise.”

”Stay out of it. I’ll deal with Charlie Rhodes myself!”

’Ivy had no intention of letting Charlie Rhodes off easy. Since he did that to her, she was going to make him taste his own medicine!’

”Fine.”

”I...” Quentin Blackwood’s Adam’s apple bobbed. His gaze lingered on her, full of reluctance. He truly couldn’t bear to part with her.

Ivy’s expression, however, remained cold. She refused to even look at him.

”I’m leaving now.” ’I’ll explain everything properly next time I get the chance,’ he thought.

Ivy was utterly exhausted; she didn’t want to move a muscle.

Even though she hated this room with a passion, Ivy rested for a little while longer.

Ivy discovered her lost phone had been placed on the nightstand. ’Quentin must have brought it here,’ she guessed.

The thought of having slept with Quentin Blackwood again stirred an indescribable mix of emotions within her.

’Whatever. It happened. No point thinking about it now. It would only cause more trouble.’

Ivy’s phone was flooded with messages. There were some from her brothers, an apology from John Young, and one from Amy. Amy wrote that Mr. Young was willing to partner with them without taking any of the profits. She said it was essentially a handout for their company, Iris, and asked if Ivy wanted to sign the contract.

Ivy replied with two words: ”Don’t sign.”

’A man like that wasn’t worthy of a contract with Iris.’

Besides, she was going to hold Mr. Young accountable. She remembered the private room had security cameras. Just as she was about to go request the footage, she saw that Quentin Blackwood had already packaged the videos and sent them to her email.

She could do whatever she pleased, as the evidence was incredibly thorough.

When Ivy saw the files, she felt a pang of reluctance. She didn’t want to use anything from him.

She wasn’t sure what he meant by wanting to ”win her back,” but she wouldn’t fall into the same trap twice.

Ivy went to the restaurant from the previous night, obtained the security footage herself, and sued John Young for assault.

Next, she went to find Charlie Rhodes. He had been beaten half to death by Quentin Blackwood the day before and was now being held by Quentin’s men. When Ivy arrived, she found him black and blue.

It looked like his legs were broken. The moment he saw Ivy, he started begging for mercy.

”Miss Sherwood, I... I wasn’t in my right mind! I was blinded by your beauty! Look, Quentin Blackwood already did this to me. Please, just let me go. I promise I’ll go back to Aethelgard and never have another indecent thought about you.”

That’s what Charlie Rhodes said, but the look in his eyes as he stared at Ivy was still just as lecherous.

’She was just so beautiful. There were even fresh hickeys on her neck; it was obvious what had happened.’

’He hated that he’d done all the work just for someone else to reap the reward last night. But that only made him want her more. He desperately wanted a taste of this Ivy Sherwood, to find out what was so special about her that she could even bewitch Quentin Blackwood.’

’He didn’t even mind that another man had already had her. In a way, didn’t that make it even more thrilling?’

Though he was begging for his life, his wicked intentions were still very much alive.

’This woman was from the Sherwood Family. As long as he got out of this alive, he’d have another chance. She was his goddaughter’s daughter, wasn’t she? He could use Ruby Sterling. He was sure she’d be willing to help.’

Ivy’s eyes were cold. Her queenly aura only made Charlie Rhodes’s blood boil with excitement.

It made him desire her all the more.

Ivy couldn’t be bothered wasting words on him. With a wave of her hand, she ordered the men behind her, ”Force it down his throat.”

’This was something she’d learned from Quentin Blackwood: an eye for an eye. She was going to make Charlie Rhodes know exactly what it felt like to be drugged.’
