Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

The next day, Ivy Sherwood and Quentin Blackwood flew straight back home.

Ivy had a wonderful time on this trip and gained a great deal from it.

Sure enough, the news that Ivy Sherwood was Iris had already spread. The fact that the owner of the Iris Company was Iris herself sent orders flooding in, becoming virtually countless overnight.

Many companies, malls, and other businesses that had previously deemed Iris Company too small to work with were now begging for a partnership.

There was a lot to handle back in Lustre, so Ivy would have to return there in a couple of days.

Meanwhile, another story had exploded online—a scandal involving Thea Sherwood.

Photos of Thea Sherwood had surfaced from some unknown source, each one so explicit that they couldn’t pass censorship without being heavily pixelated.

Thea’s face was clearly visible, along with all her private parts. There were many photos, and even videos. This kind of material naturally attracts attention, and with so much of it, it spread like wildfire.

People online had already mocked Thea for winning an award only to have it officially revoked. Now that this new scandal broke, the internet was in an even greater uproar.

Topics like these dominated the trending charts, each one marked as ”Explosive.”

Thea Sherwood had gone viral, but not in the way she ever imagined. All over the internet, people were begging for links to the videos.

”I saw it. I could’ve puked. Isn’t Thea Sherwood just in her early twenties? That old guy looks like he’s seventy.”

”I also heard that old man is her own mother’s godfather. And that her mother used to sleep with him too.”

”Is it really that insane? What was Thea Sherwood thinking? She’s from a rich family, isn’t she? She’s beautiful and wealthy, what could she possibly be after?”

”Who knows? I heard the old guy can’t even get it up anymore. He had a lot of ’goddaughters’ when he was younger, so his body’s completely worn out. But Thea Sherwood is so gorgeous, and her figure is incredible—slim where she should be, curvy where she should be. I wonder how many guys are using these photos and videos to get friendly with their right hand.”

Thea Sherwood still had no idea what had happened. As she got off the plane, she heard people mentioning her name.

’Are there other people in the world named Thea Sherwood? Or did I do something that made people recognize me again?’

”She looks a little like Thea Sherwood, hey? Look at the face in this photo, don’t you think they match?” someone nearby said, pointing at Thea while comparing her to a photo on their phone.

Thea didn’t know what was going on. She glared at the two people. ”What are you staring at? Haven’t you ever seen a beautiful woman before?”

Startled by Thea’s outburst, the two quickly walked away.

But the murmurs about ”Thea Sherwood” only grew louder. When she overheard something about ”trending comments,” she finally pulled out her phone, and her face instantly turned pale.

She never imagined that the videos Charlie Rhodes had filmed would all be leaked.

She had taken over the top spots on the trending charts. Someone must have intentionally paid to boost the topic’s popularity; the content had already been shared millions of times.

Her phone slipped from her hand and clattered to the floor. Her expression was ghastly.

She had assumed people were recognizing her from the perfume competition. She never, ever thought it would be because of this.

This was the equivalent of having all her private photos leaked. It was as if she had been stripped naked for the entire world to see.

Thea nearly collapsed to the ground. ’How could this be happening? How could these photos...’

Thea called Charlie Rhodes, but his phone was unreachable.

Thea left the airport, hailed a taxi, and gave the driver the address of Charlie Rhodes’s company.

Charlie was at the company but refused to see her. Thea was stopped at the entrance and tried to force her way in. ”Get out of my way! I want to see Charlie Rhodes! Move!”

Before long, a luxury car pulled up in front of her. Several people got out, and the woman leading them was none other than Charlie Rhodes’s wife.

Charlie had married a woman over a decade younger than him. The current Mrs. Rhodes was only in her fifties, and because she took such good care of herself, she looked as if she were in her early forties—very youthful.

Accompanying Mrs. Rhodes were several others—Charlie’s son and daughter-in-law.

Mrs. Rhodes walked right up, grabbed Thea, and slapped her hard across the face twice. ”You shameless piece of trash! How dare you show your face at the company entrance.”

Thea’s face swelled up instantly. She clutched her cheek, glaring at the woman before her. ”What are you doing, you old hag!”

”What am I doing? I’m going to beat you to death, you shameless slut!” Mrs. Rhodes was absolutely furious.

She knew Charlie loved to fool around, and she couldn’t control him. That useless man could play around outside all he wanted; it wouldn’t affect her status. He couldn’t get anyone pregnant, so he posed no threat to her son or the family fortune.

But this Thea Sherwood, banking on being the favorite, had demanded far too much money from Charlie—hundreds of millions at a time. He had even bought her a large villa. Watching her money flow out like that, sum after sum, Mrs. Rhodes could no longer sit idly by.

”Seducing another woman’s husband, filming those kinds of pictures... Since you dared to do it, why not let everyone see? Let them all see you, Thea Sherwood, just like your shameless mother, climbing into another man’s bed!”

”You... You were the one who leaked the photos?” Thea stared at the woman in front of her.

”So what if it was me? Don’t you love to be filmed? Then why not let everyone have a look? Your tricks, you little bitch, are far more impressive than your mother’s. Back then, your mother wasn’t even willing to be with that old fossil, so she chose to run far away, only humoring him once or twice a year. But you? Being so eager... are you hoping to kick me out and marry into the family?”

”Let me tell you, everything that old man gave you—the money and the house—that’s all our marital property, and I’m taking it all back!”

Mrs. Rhodes’s voice was loud. Given the scandalous nature of the argument, employees inside the company and passersby on the street all heard her. Many of them secretly hid nearby to eavesdrop.

This was exciting. Incredibly exciting.

’I can’t believe it. I thought just following the gossip online was enough, but now there’s a live show!’

Someone even sneakily took out their phone and started a livestream.

The original wife tearing into the mistress—how thrilling! The words were sharp, the insults were as simple and brutal as they came. So what if they were a wealthy family? When rich people lost their tempers, they didn’t care about saving face either.

Thea was berated to the point of tears. ”That’s my stuff! Charlie gave it to me!”

”Gave it to you? In your dreams! A slut like you is only good enough to be played with for a while, you piece of trash. If you dare to be this shameless again, I’ll have people strip your clothes off and throw you onto the street! You like men, don’t you? You like to play, right? Fine, I’ll find a few more men for you and let you play until you’ve had your fill!”

Although Mrs. Rhodes had always turned a blind eye before, she saw a real threat in Thea Sherwood. That was why she had to come and get rid of her.
