Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!

In this world, there’s no investor who truly doesn’t care about return rates.

All this money about to go down the drain, Howard Prescott regrets deeply why he followed Adrian Law and Zion Prescott’s venture; he was just focused on them being financial trendsetters and completely forgot the human aspect.

…

Howard Prescott is beside himself with regret, but what’s already been deployed can’t be recovered.

Moreover, continued investment in soft and hard advertising for this drama is going to require endless expenditure, totaling at least tens of millions.

Heavens, who wants to be this fool!

Seeing Howard Prescott sweating, Zion Prescott merely smiled leisurely.

“What, didn’t you have anyone do a risk assessment when you invested?”

“This… I…”

Howard Prescott looked like he was mourning dearly lost parents, facing someone at least a dozen years younger, he felt like a wilted eggplant, completely devoid of energy.

He anxiously rubbed his hands, unsure how to lament about his impulsive desire to share the pie upon hearing Zion Prescott and Adrian Law were involved in the project.

Was it his greed?

Or should he blame his own blindness?

…

Zion Prescott looked at him coldly, but the smile on his lips was impeccable—polite yet utterly distant.

“As a junior, I’ve given you quite enough insight, you should measure this yourself.”

“Young Master Prescott… you saying that really diminishes me…”

Cold sweat dripped from Howard Prescott’s brow.

“What do I do now? Does this project still have the value of follow-up investment? I’ve spent so much money, I can’t just listen to the echo…”

In desperation, Howard Prescott turned to Zion Prescott’s handsome and refined face, inexplicably feeling Zion was trustworthy and reliable, completely forgetting his reputation as a smiling wolf.

“Young Master Prescott, I’m begging you… no matter what, I’m your distant elder, you can’t just leave me to die…”

“Oh, is it really that serious, leaving you to die?”

Zion Prescott raised an indifferent eyebrow, suddenly turning to Claire Sinclair.

Seeing Zion looking at Claire Sinclair, Howard Prescott was even more perplexed.

“Young Master Prescott, why are you looking at her?”

Howard Prescott couldn’t understand, and Zion’s face suddenly grew cold.

“Go, apologize to her.”

“Ha?!”

Howard Prescott was as if struck by lightning again, completely unable to comprehend Zion Prescott’s meaning—weren’t they just talking about minimizing losses?

Why was he supposed to apologize to some unknown character now?

Not to mention, when Claire Sinclair debuted in “There are branches on the mountain,” she was just an unknown newbie; even if Claire became successful someday, to business owners like Howard Prescott, she’d only ever be a performer.

Howard Prescott himself has slept with quite a few first and second-tier actresses.

It’s just that price for casual interactions was a bit higher, ranging from hundreds of thousands to a few million, but occasionally tasting something new, he was willing to pay.

…

Howard Prescott didn’t see these women in entertainment as people; in his worldview, money was the most important, and there wasn’t anyone who couldn’t be convinced by cash.

If there was, it was because his offer wasn’t high enough.

So when Zion Prescott asked him to apologize to Claire Sinclair, Howard Prescott resisted strongly; if it weren’t for Zion’s renowned reputation, which he couldn’t afford to offend, Howard would’ve turned hostile and walked away.

“Young Master Prescott, are you sure?”

Zion Prescott lazily glanced at Claire Sinclair and then turned with a faint smile toward Howard Prescott.

“Of course. She’s my nephew Jude’s beloved.”

“The Canary of Young Mr. Grant from Grant Properties?”

Howard Prescott looked skeptically at Claire Sinclair, not doubting Jude’s possible involvement with her but instinctively feeling Jude wouldn’t fall out with him over someone from showbiz.

Of course, Jude, being young, might not tolerate his woman being involved with other men during his protection, which Howard can understand.

At this point, Howard Prescott overlooked something.

Why was Zion Prescott standing up for his nephew’s woman?

Was he overstepping?

…

Howard Prescott harbored doubts, while Zion’s eyes were cold as ice.

“Watch your tone, she’s not a Canary.”

“So she’s Young Mr. Grant’s girlfriend?!”

Howard Prescott quickly responded, not noticing Zion’s gaze becoming even creepier at the mention of Jude’s girlfriend.

But the gloom vanished in a flash, seemingly just an illusion.

…

“Will you apologize?”

Zion Prescott coldly pressured.

Intimidated by the aura surrounding the young man, Howard Prescott was stunned into silence; he extinguished his gossiping thoughts and immediately looked fawningly at Claire Sinclair.

“Miss Sinclair, I’m truly sorry, I didn’t realize you were President Grant’s girlfriend. It’s my fault for not recognizing greatness.”

Claire Sinclair felt a strange sensation as Howard Prescott apologized like this.

She stared blankly at Zion Prescott, who had already shifted his gaze, directly focusing on Howard Prescott.

Was he really defending Jude’s honor by helping her?

…

Upon hearing Howard Prescott’s apology, Zion Prescott’s icy demeanor slightly softened.

While Howard Prescott remained flattering.

“Young Master Prescott, what should I do now? Can I withdraw from this project temporarily?”

“Of course, but if it makes money or loses in the future, it won’t concern you.”

“Well, thinking about such promotional themes won’t recoup the investment… If only I could find someone to take over…”

Howard Prescott, head pounding, looked at Zion’s calm face, and an idea popped into his head; he pleaded, looking at Zion Prescott.

“Young Master Prescott, why don’t you help me? I invested so much, I don’t want it all to go to waste. I’ll transfer three percent off the price to you, okay? All shares are transferred to your name, and from then on, profit or loss won’t concern me.”

This idiot got hooked so easily.

Zion Prescott’s eyes behind the golden-rimmed glasses glinted slightly, still feigning hesitation.

“Then I’d lose even more; I did this for my big brother’s sake.”

“Then! Six percent… no, five percent, I’ll transfer to you!”

“Alright… It’s not easy for you…”

…

Howard Prescott was thus fooled into the trap, unaware.

Leaving, he felt smug, naturally missing Zion Prescott locking the dressing room door once he left, standing face to face with Claire Sinclair.

“Are you avoiding me?”

Their conversation wouldn’t know yet that a shocking scandal was about to explode on social networks.
