Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!

Cecilia Vaughn chuckled to herself, intending to tease Adrian Law, she laid out the dishes from the food box one by one.

“How about this, the dishes from Splendid Pavilion are mine, and the tomato scrambled eggs I made are yours?”

Before she finished speaking, the man calmly glanced at Cecilia Vaughn.

In the slightly surprised gaze of Cecilia Vaughn, he directly placed that obviously plain dish of tomato scrambled eggs in front of himself.

“Alright, anything made by Cecilia is always delicious.”

Isn’t that sarcasm?!

Cecilia Vaughn just wanted to tease Adrian Law a bit, who knew that Adrian would take it seriously.

Having said it, she couldn’t bring herself to admit she was joking. As Cecilia Vaughn was trying to think of an excuse to ease the situation, Adrian Law had already taken a serious bite of the tomato scrambled eggs and started eating silently.

The man always ate gracefully and quietly, even if the dishes were plain. However, the elegance in his every move could easily make people believe he was eating some rare delicacy.

…

Seeing that he had no intention of touching the other dishes, Cecilia Vaughn got anxious and hurriedly snatched the bowl of tomato scrambled eggs back.

“Hey, I was only joking, there’s no need to take it so seriously, right?”

“But Cecilia, your dish indeed is the best.”

Um…

Cecilia Vaughn’s cheeks instantly turned red to the tips of her ears.

But Adrian Law merely looked at her calmly, his dark eyes like distant autumn water, or moonlight in the deep night, making it hard to fathom, yet filled with deep tenderness.

“Even if my cooking is good…”

Why does saying this feel so shameless?

Cecilia felt embarrassed, coughed lightly twice, and quickly diverted the topic elsewhere.

“Even so, can’t I just change my mind now? Anyway, you said you’d listen to me. Look, this sweet soup is really good; considering you’re convalescing, I’ll share half with you.”

Cecilia smiled softly, then swiftly seized Adrian Law’s bowl and ladled a large spoonful of sweet soup for him.

“…”

Adrian Law found it amusing, but didn’t point out Cecilia Vaughn’s nervousness, simply accepting her kindness silently.

“Alright, anything Mrs. Law says, I’ll certainly listen to.”

“That’s more like it!”

Cecilia Vaughn proudly lifted her chin, gazing at the handsome and dignified face before her, suddenly feeling a sense of timeless tranquility.

If time could pause for them, Cecilia wished every day in the future could be as peaceful, calm, and joyful as this moment.

…

The world is full of turmoil, but at least beside the one she loves, there’s no need for defenses, nor would she feel weary.

Cecilia Vaughn felt a sweet warmth in her heart and gave Adrian Law a piece of white-cut chicken.

“Adrian, try this, it tastes quite good too.”

“Sure, you should eat more too.”

The man looked at Cecilia Vaughn’s increasingly pointed chin, feeling a bit worried. He wasn’t really a fan of the current trend towards sharp-featured aesthetics; Cecilia had more of an oval face, but her recent dieting made her look more angular.

“You’re too thin. If you continue like this, it’ll be uncomfortable to hug.”

As he spoke, the man without further ado added plenty of lean meat to Cecilia Vaughn’s bowl, insisting she must not be picky.

“Hey, if I really continue to lose weight, will you dislike me?”

Cecilia Vaughn glared at Adrian Law. Good heavens, she was dieting to avoid gaining weight, okay? If not for Adrian Law’s excellent cooking that made her gain all this weight, why would she ever want to eat so little every day?

…

“Alright, alright, I like you anyway, but relatively speaking, it would be better if you were a bit chubbier.”

The man helplessly expressed his survival instinct, and under Cecilia Vaughn’s disapproving gaze, added a few more pieces of meatballs to her plate.

“…”

Darn, her weight loss plan is doomed again.

Cecilia Vaughn sighed to the sky. She just wanted those abs back, why does Adrian Law always think she’s too thin?!

He himself clearly has an eight-pack, isn’t this a double standard?

…

Cecilia Vaughn complained silently, but couldn’t resist the tantalizing culinary skills of Splendid Pavilion’s chefs, unknowingly finishing all the food.

When she realized, Adrian Law had already put down his chopsticks.

“…”

Wait, did she go against her original intention again?

She clearly wanted to nourish Adrian Law.

“In the future, don’t serve me so much food like this.”

Cecilia Vaughn sighed helplessly, glaring at Adrian Law, contemplating for a moment before speaking.

“Adrian, is there any soup you particularly like? I’m thinking about making some pigeon soup for you to replenish yourself.”

“How about tomato egg drop soup instead.”

It’s simpler.

These four words didn’t come out of the man’s mouth, but his face clearly showed this thought.

Seeing Adrian Law’s teasing look, Cecilia Vaughn knew he was mocking her limited cooking skills.

╭(╯^╰)╮.

Is it her fault she hasn’t unlocked the chef skill?

At least she could paint, and better than Adrian Law, right?

This thought just arose in her mind, and Cecilia Vaughn bit her lip nervously, feeling it’s best not to jump to conclusions.

Hmm, she should narrow down the scope.

At least in comics popular among young people, Adrian Law’s expertise is zero.

As long as he doesn’t study, she should be able to easily outshine him!

…

Cecilia Vaughn helplessly approached Adrian Law.

“Alright, alright, tomato egg drop soup is nutritious too, but do you have any main courses in mind? It wouldn’t be good for the soup and dish to use the same ingredients.”

“Then just whip up a simple stir-fried seasonal vegetable and meat dish.”

Adrian Law smiled lightly, then unexpectedly wrapped his injured arm around Cecilia Vaughn’s shoulder.

“Cecilia, I think I might be able to handle cooking now.”

???

Cecilia Vaughn swallowed, unsure whether to be relieved for dodging a bullet or worried about Adrian Law’s wound healing thoroughly.

She couldn’t bear to make an injured person cook because her skills are terrible.

In her mind, two little figures battled for a while. Cecilia Vaughn hesitated repeatedly, and in the end, shook her head to refuse.

“No way, Doctor Prescott said you need to rest well, at least until the weekend ends, let me manage the cooking, and if worse comes to worst, we can have Splendid Pavilion prepare something special for us.”

Yeah, she figured she gave it her best shot.

In the kitchen or out of it, even if her cooking isn’t good, she has a clear conscience!

…

Seeing Cecilia Vaughn’s insistence, the man didn’t push further.

Adrian Law gently brushed Cecilia Vaughn’s temple.

“Okay, I’ll listen to you, but promise me not to immerse yourself in recipes anymore. The smoke from cooking is harsh on the skin, a girl’s beauty should be cherished.”

“…”

Is it her fault for living a rough life?
