Chapter 498: Chapter 507: Hundred Flower Garden [Eight Updates]

As the words fell, Ye Feng turned around and prepared to leave, slowly walking towards the door.

”Ye Feng!” However, before Ye Feng could step out of the room, he was stopped by Han Yi.

Ye Feng curiously looked at Han Yi and asked, ”What’s the matter?”

”Ye Feng, do you have any urgent matters to attend to today?” Han Yi looked at Ye Feng with a hopeful expression.

Ye Feng shook his head, ”No, why do you ask?”

Han Yi said, ”Ye Feng, can you accompany me for a walk outside? It’s been a while since I last went out.”

Originally, Ye Feng wanted to refuse Han Yi, but when he saw the hopeful look in her eyes, he couldn’t help but be reminded of his younger martial sister. His heart softened, and he nodded, ”Alright, where would you like to go? I’ll accompany you.”

Upon hearing Ye Feng’s agreement, Han Yi smiled knowingly, ”I heard that the Hundred Flower Garden in the West Suburb has recently opened. How about we go take a look together?”

”Okay.” Ye Feng nodded. After Han Yi was ready, the two set out from the Han Family home.

At that moment, Han Yi and Ye Feng bumped into Han Ying. When Han Ying saw Ye Feng, he frowned, but quickly showed a smile, ”Little sister, Ye Feng, where are you two heading?”

Han Yi smiled slightly, ”Ye Feng has promised to accompany me to the Hundred Flower Garden in the West Suburb.”

”Alright then, go ahead. I still have some matters to attend to, so I won’t delay the two of you,” Han Ying said with a laugh.

After that, Han Yi and Ye Feng drove together towards the Hundred Flower Garden in Longdu West Suburb.

After Ye Feng and Han Yi had left, a sinister look flashed across Han Ying’s eyes. Then he took out his phone and dialed Gao Zhiyuan’s number...

In a blink of an eye, it was already one o’clock in the afternoon when Ye Feng and Han Yi arrived at the Hundred Flower Garden, fifty miles outside Longdu West Suburb.

Lately, it was the perfect time for autumn flower viewing. Here, one could say the flowers were blooming profusely, attracting visitors from all over to appreciate the flowers every day.

They arrived at the parking lot one mile from the Hundred Flower Garden and then walked towards it.

Han Yi mentioned, ”The Hundred Flower Garden is located at the foot of Baixiang Peak ahead. Cars can’t get through, so we’ll have to walk from here.”

Ye Feng nodded, ”Okay, let’s go...”

Then Ye Feng and Han Yi set off on foot towards Baixiang Peak. However, after a short walk, curiosity appeared in Ye Feng’s gaze, ”Han Yi, didn’t you say that many people come here to view the flowers?”

Han Yi nodded, ”Yes, what about it?”

Ye Feng remarked, ”If there are so many people coming to view the flowers, why haven’t we encountered a single person along the way?”

After hearing Ye Feng’s comment, Han Yi also felt puzzled. Usually, when she came for flower viewing, there would always be quite a few people along the way, and the number of visitors would only start to decrease after five in the afternoon.

But now, it was just a little past one o’clock, and there were hardly any people on the way, which was indeed very strange.

”Could it be that the garden is closed today?” Han Yi’s gaze showed confusion.

Then, shaking her head, she added, ”Let’s not worry about it too much. Let’s just head over there, and we’ll find out whether it’s open or not.”

”Okay!” Ye Feng agreed, and then they both continued towards the Hundred Flower Garden.

Around ten minutes later, they arrived at the entrance of the Hundred Flower Garden. Indeed, there wasn’t a single person at the entrance, only two staff members standing guard.

Just as Ye Feng and Han Yi reached the entrance of the Hundred Flower Garden, the two staff members blocked their path, ”Sorry, the Hundred Flower Garden has encountered some trouble these past few days and will be closed for a week. Please come back next week...”

”How can this be!” At this moment, Han Yi’s face turned very upset. She hadn’t expected that the rare opportunity to be alone with Ye Feng would be thwarted by the unexpected closure of the Hundred Flower Garden.

She knew that after today, she would hardly have such a chance to be alone with Ye Feng again.

With this in mind, a look of unwillingness appeared in Han Yi’s eyes, and she questioned, ”It doesn’t seem like there is anything special about the garden. Why won’t you let us in?”

The staff member shook his head, ”Sorry, it’s for your own safety. There’s danger inside the garden, so you better leave. Today is not the right time for you to visit.”

Upon hearing this, Han Yi was even more perplexed, ”Could you please tell me what happened? It’s rare for us to have the chance to come to the Hundred Flower Garden to admire the flowers, and if we miss today, we might not have another opportunity. Could you make an exception and let us go inside, please?”

”No!” The attitude of the staff member was very firm, ”I can’t tell you what happened inside, but you absolutely cannot go in. I am looking out for your safety. All I can say is that if you enter, you will encounter danger.”

Seeing how much Han Yi wanted to visit the Hundred Flower Garden, Ye Feng didn’t want to disappoint her. He addressed the staff member, ”Brother, it’s no secret that my friend and I really want to visit the Hundred Flower Garden and enjoy the flowers. We hope you might make an exception for us. I am a martial artist, and if we encounter any danger, we can protect ourselves.”

After hearing what Ye Feng had to say, the staff member looked disdainful, ”Impossible, it doesn’t matter! What does being a martial artist mean? I’ll tell you, just last week, a martial artist with advanced inner strength died in the Hundred Flower Garden. If you go in, it will be even more dangerous for you. Young man, you seem quite young, so I doubt you are that powerful. It’s better not to overestimate yourself!”

”Oh?” Originally, Ye Feng wasn’t that curious, but hearing that a martial artist with advanced inner strength had died in the garden made him all the more intrigued. He wondered what exactly had happened inside the Hundred Flower Garden.

As Dragon Country’s War God, Ye Feng naturally considered the well-being of his fellow countrymen. Although he couldn’t possibly be involved in everything, now that he had stumbled upon this incident, he couldn’t just ignore it.

”Miss Han Yi, is that you?” Just then, a voice called out.
