The Strongest Urban Son-in-law

Chapter 476: Chapter 475 Theft? 【7 Updates】

Lin Shiyu said, ”Forget it, Keke, we’re about to leave, there’s no need to stir up trouble over these matters.”

Then, Lin Shiyu looked at Gao Qingqing and asked, ”Gao Qingqing, you said Ye Feng was also here, didn’t you? Where is he?”

Ever since they entered, Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke had been continuously searching for Ye Feng, but they had not seen a trace of him.

Gao Qingqing replied, ”I’m sorry, I thought Ye Feng had already come over. I didn’t expect he hasn’t arrived yet, probably stuck in traffic. Just wait a little longer, I estimate he should be here shortly.”

”Alright...” Lin Shiyu nodded and said no more.

At that moment, Wu Mengyuan looked at Gao Qingqing and said, ”Qingqing, take me to see your older brother, I haven’t seen him in a long time.”

Gao Qingqing nodded, ”Alright, let’s go together.”

Gao Qingqing turned to Lin Shiyu and the others, ”Shiyu, do you want to come with us?”

”No, we’ll wait here for Ye Feng,” Lin Shiyu shook her head, unwilling to stay with Gao Qingqing.

Just then, Wu Mengyuan placed her purse in front of Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke, ”If you’re not going, then take care of my bag for me. If anything goes missing, it’s your faces that’ll take the blame!”

After saying this, Wu Mengyuan no longer paid any attention to Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke.

Instantly, rage ignited in the hearts of Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke. Liu Keke was about to explode but was stopped by Lin Shiyu. Fuming with anger, Liu Keke said, ”Cousin, this Wu Mengyuan is going too far. What does she think she is, treating us like this, as slaves? I don’t understand why you’re putting up with her?”

Lin Shiyu helplessly shook her head, ”Let it be, Wu Mengyuan is from the Wu Family. The last time your cousin-in-law caused trouble in Longdu, I went to ask Sir Wu for help. He agreed without hesitation, so we owe the Wu Family a favor. Let’s just let today’s matter go, and when your brother-in-law arrives, we can all leave together.”

”So there was such an incident...” Liu Keke suddenly realized and chose to endure.

Quickly, a half-hour passed, and neither Lin Shiyu nor Liu Keke had seen Ye Feng.

Even if there was traffic, it was nearly eight o’clock, and Ye Feng hadn’t arrived. At this point, Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke could confirm that Ye Feng was not coming today; it was all a deception by Gao Qingqing.

Gao Qingqing’s reason for inviting Lin Shiyu was to embarrass and humiliate her.

Realizing this, neither Lin Shiyu nor Liu Keke could foolishly continue to stay.

”Cousin, let’s go. He definitely isn’t coming!” Liu Keke said to Lin Shiyu, filled with rage and nowhere to vent it. Neither Lin Shiyu nor Liu Keke had ever been treated with such disrespect.

Lin Shiyu nodded, ”Let’s go!” Saying this, they both headed towards the door.

”Thump!” Just then, a waiter bumped gently into Lin Shiyu. The waiter looked guilty, ”I’m sorry, miss, it was not intentional, please forgive me!”

The waiter bowed his head, looking very sincere. Lin Shiyu was not unreasonable and shook her head, ”It’s okay, you may go.”

”Thank you, thank you.” Afterward, the waiter hurriedly left, and Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke approached the entrance.

”Stop!” Just as they were about to leave, a loud voice echoed throughout the entire gathering.

Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke turned around and saw Wu Mengyuan and Gao Qingqing looking at them.

And it was Wu Mengyuan who had called out to Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke.

Wu Mengyuan glared at Lin Shiyu and asked loudly, ”Where are you two going?”

Liu Keke, outraged and without waiting for Lin Shiyu to answer, retorted first, ”We are going back. What, you’re not letting us leave?”

Wu Mengyuan stood tall with her chest out, her nearly 1.8 meters of height allowed her to look down on Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke, her eyes filled with scorn. ”Of course you can leave, I have no right to stop you. But before you go, shouldn’t you return my things to me?”

”Rubbish!” In an instant, Liu Keke burst out, ”What do you mean by returning your things?”

Wu Mengyuan gave a cold smile, ”Still pretending, are you? I asked you both to watch my bag, and now my watch from the bag has disappeared. Do you know, this behavior is called theft?”

”Miss Wu Mengyuan! Mind your language. What do you mean by theft? Are you suggesting we stole your things? You better not be framing us; when did we ever steal your things?” Lin Shiyu asked, her face darkening with anger.

Wu Mengyuan looked coldly at Lin Shiyu, ”Whether you stole it or not, I’m not sure yet. But my watch is indeed missing. So, do you dare let us search?”

Lin Shiyu, furious, said, ”Fine! Search then, what’s the big deal? If we’re innocent, we have nothing to fear. If you search us and don’t find your watch, you owe us an apology!”

”Fine!” Wu Mengyuan voiced loudly and agreed very straightforwardly.

At that moment, Wu Mengyuan strode confidently towards Lin Shiyu, evidently convinced Lin Shiyu had taken her watch.

When Wu Mengyuan reached Lin Shiyu, she demanded coldly, ”Hand over your bag to me!”

Lin Shiyu nodded and passed her bag to Wu Mengyuan.

Wu Mengyuan quickly unzipped the bag and dumped everything inside onto the ground.

”You!” Seeing this scene, Lin Shiyu was extremely angry.

But just then, a limited edition Cartier ladies’ watch fell to the ground.

”This...” Both Lin Shiyu and Liu Keke were stunned, and Lin Shiyu couldn’t help but say, ”When did this get into my bag?”

Suddenly, Lin Shiyu’s body jolted; she remembered the waiter from before.

It must have been him who, upon bumping into her, stealthily placed it in her backpack.

But now, Lin Shiyu wanted to find that waiter, yet he had already vanished without a trace.

”Shiyu, if you like watches, cousin can buy one for you, but how could you steal it?” Gao Qingqing asked with a façade of ”surprise,” raising her voice.
