The Strongest Urban Son-in-law

Chapter 380: Chapter 379 Marry Me

They had never anticipated that they would face such severe punishment for such a trivial matter.

Yet Ye Feng knew that Director Zhang and his colleagues had certainly not done this for the first time, they must have harmed many people, so there was no way Ye Feng would be soft-hearted; it was because they had harmed many people usually that they had grown bolder.

Otherwise, the incidents of these past few days, that old woman and her son, Director Zhang and his colleagues, would not have been so arrogant. Most importantly, because they had hurt Lin Shiyu, Ye Feng certainly would not let them off easily.

Ye Feng told the pregnant woman, ”As for you, I won’t hold you accountable during your breastfeeding period. Once your child is over the breastfeeding stage and turns one, you can join them.”

”Yes...” The pregnant woman displayed a face of despair, harboring no complaints, only endless regret.

She regretted being so arrogant, so utterly lawless. Ye Feng had just spared her life and even saved her child. She was already very satisfied and no longer dared to hope that Ye Feng would forgive her.

”No, I was wrong, sir, I was wrong, please let us go, please...” Director Zhang and a few others cried out, tears streaming down their faces, showing the pain in their eyes, yet Ye Feng remained indifferent.

For Ye Feng, they were completely undeserving of his sympathy, fully brought upon themselves.

Lin Shiyu’s eyes revealed a look of unwillingness and compassion.

Noticing that sliver of compassion in Lin Shiyu’s eyes, the old woman quickly rushed in front of Lin Shiyu.

”I was wrong, I was wrong, Miss Lin, I know I was wrong, it was all my fault yesterday, please plead with Mr. Ye for me. A lifetime is really too harsh. I’m already half in the grave, it doesn’t matter for me, but my son is still young, please spare him, I’m kowtowing to you!” The old woman kowtowed to Lin Shiyu earnestly.

The old woman kowtowed with great force, her forehead heavily hitting the ground, soon leaving a bloody mark. Seeing this, Lin Shiyu, always so kind-hearted, became even more distressed.

Lin Shiyu finally looked at Ye Feng, ”Ye Feng, maybe let’s just forget it, to have them spend a lifetime in prison is too harsh. They can be punished, I am already satisfied. My anger has been appeased.”

Hearing Lin Shiyu’s plea on their behalf, Ye Feng nodded, ”Alright, since you are pleading for them, I will let them go this time, with a lighter sentence. The punishment they deserve still must be meted out. Director Zhang, for abusing authority, dismissal from the position, to never be employed again, and to serve five years in a military prison. The old woman’s son, treating the department as his own home and having criminal tendencies, adding three years for threats, eight years in total for both the old woman and her son.”

Then, Ye Feng looked towards the pregnant woman, ”As for you, the same sentence as Director Zhang!”

”Thank you, thank you Mr. Ye, thank you!” The crowd looked at Ye Feng excitedly, quickly expressing their gratitude.

This time they had truly hit a steel plate. They had never expected that Lin Shiyu, who seemed easy to bully yesterday, had such a powerful husband. Had they known the strong backgrounds of Lin Shiyu and Ye Feng, they wouldn’t have dared to be so arrogant yesterday.

Ye Feng’s face remained calm, his emotions unaffected throughout. Then Ye Feng looked at Lu Chengfeng.

”Lu Chengfeng, I’ll leave them to you. I have other matters, so I’ll leave first,” Ye Feng said lightly.

Lu Chengfeng nodded, assuring Ye Feng, ”Sir, please rest assured, I will handle them properly, I definitely won’t disappoint you!”

Ye Feng nodded, then looked at Lin Shiyu, ”Let’s go, let’s head back...”

After a while, Ye Feng and Lin Shiyu left the department and then arrived at the company.

Lin Shiyu and Ye Feng got out of the car, Ye Feng revealing a tender smile, looking at Lin Shiyu with affection and gratitude. Lin Shiyu hugged Ye Feng, burying her head into his chest.

Lin Shiyu felt the warmth from Ye Feng’s chest, feeling a strong sense of security, as if as long as Ye Feng was there, even if the sky fell, there would be no danger that Ye Feng couldn’t fend off for her.

”Ye Feng, thank you!” Lin Shiyu said lovingly to Ye Feng.

Ye Feng smiled slightly, shook his head, and tenderly touched Lin Shiyu’s head, ”Silly girl, what’s there to thank me for? I am your husband; this is what I should do. What’s thanking for? How could I not act when I see you being bullied?”

Lin Shiyu hugged Ye Feng tightly, her feelings for him growing deeper, ”Ye Feng, thank you. Without you, I couldn’t have found anyone to confide my grievances in, nor anyone to help me clear my name.”

Ye Feng shook his head, ”Haven’t I said not to thank me? You are my wife, aren’t you?”

”Husband...” Lin Shiyu’s face turned red with shyness, glowing like a ripe apple, stirring waves in Ye Feng’s usually still heart.

Ye Feng looked at Lin Shiyu, who was seemingly calling him in such a manner for the first time, filled with profound emotions.

”What’s the matter?” Ye Feng asked gently.

”Let’s get married,” Lin Shiyu said shyly.

Ye Feng was stunned, ”Aren’t we already married?”

Lin Shiyu shook her head, ”Of course not. Although we have a marriage certificate, we haven’t gone through all the needed procedures. We haven’t had a wedding banquet, haven’t paid respects with tea to both parents, haven’t formally addressed each other, nor have we let our relatives and friends witness. Let’s make up for all that!”

Ye Feng smiled slightly, ”Of course. Once this affair in Longdu is over, we will go back to Lin Tian City, or we can simply stay in Longdu, bring our elders, your parents here, and hold the wedding here!”

Lin Shiyu nodded, ”Okay, I understand.”

Ye Feng smiled again, ”Alright, I need to go back to school, and you also have things to do. When we are both free, I will come back to accompany you.”

Hearing Ye Feng’s words, Lin Shiyu obediently nodded, ”Okay, take care on your way!”
