The Strongest Urban Son-in-law

Chapter 376: Chapter 375: Bending the Law for Personal Gain

”Record his statement,” Director Zhang told the pregnant woman.

The pregnant woman nodded and said to Ye Feng, ”Now, tell me what happened from beginning to end as I record your statement!”

Ye Feng nodded indifferently and recounted the events from start to finish.

In the end, the pregnant woman said, ”Okay, check your statement, then sign it, and wait to see how the other party wants to deal with it.”

As she spoke, the pregnant woman handed over the statement for Ye Feng to review.

Upon reading it, Ye Feng immediately frowned. The reason why Ye Feng had argued with the old lady was entirely omitted. It started directly from when Ye Feng and the old lady had a dispute, followed by Ye Feng pushing the old lady to the ground and assaulting her.

Ye Feng coldly looked at the pregnant woman, asking, ”I said I was merely defending myself. Why did you leave out the earlier part and falsely accuse me of assaulting an elderly person?”

The pregnant woman said coldly, ”Kid, you’d better behave yourself. Just admit you assaulted the elderly. Otherwise, it will go on your record, which won’t do you any good. You should accept our mediation right now, or you may not only have to pay compensation but also go to jail, which won’t be good for you either!”

Ye Feng sneered, ”Bullshit. I didn’t do it, why should I admit it, why would I sign?”

”Still playing tough, little bastard? I’ve seen many like you, you little hoodlum. You’d better confess and not waste my time!” The pregnant woman glared at Ye Feng and yelled furiously.

However, Ye Feng remained calm, looking coldly at the pregnant woman, ”Think carefully. You’re pregnant. It’ll bring bad karma to do such despicable things. Think of the child you’re about to give birth to, if not yourself.”

”Little mongrel, you must be courting death!” The pregnant woman flew into a rage at Ye Feng’s words as if he had hit a nerve, her anger escalating wildly.

She swiftly pulled out handcuffs and locked Ye Feng onto the interrogation chair.

Then, the pregnant woman left. At that moment, the old lady’s family arrived. Her son, with a group of more than a dozen people, barged in. The son was incredibly arrogant, storming into the office.

”So this is the mongrel, right?” the old lady’s son pointed at Ye Feng and bellowed.

The old lady had a ferocious look, ”Right, this is the bastard. He almost beat me to death!”

Looking at Ye Feng, the man shouted, ”Little runt, which gang are you with? I’m going to tear you apart today and see how I don’t break your legs!”

Ye Feng responded indifferently, ”So arrogant? Do you even know what this place is, daring to break my legs here?”

Hearing Ye Feng’s words, the old lady’s son became even more furious, ”Motherfucker, even if I kill you, what can you do? Do you not realize your situation, still daring to be so arrogant with me?”

Ye Feng looked disdainful and said, ”You think you own this place? You think you can intimidate me?”

The old lady’s son cursed, ”Indeed, this is my home. We run this department. I am going to kill you!”

Upon hearing the old lady’s son’s words, both Director Zhang and the pregnant woman were shocked.

”You little bastard, you’re insane!” Director Zhang roared, pushing the old lady’s son away, ”Get out now, or I’m locking you up for fifteen days!”

Director Zhang knew that there were recording devices present, and if the son’s words got out, he could not protect his position any longer.

Not long after, the pregnant woman came back in, looking coldly at Ye Feng, ”Accept the mediation. Apologize to the old lady, pay her a hundred thousand yuan, and then it’s over. How about it?”

Ye Feng chuckled coldly, ”I did nothing wrong. Why should I compensate? The one at fault is that old lady. Why should I admit to any wrongdoing?”

The pregnant woman raged, ”You little bastard, since you won’t accept, then end up with a criminal record!”

She then took out a needle and said to Ye Feng, ”We need to collect your DNA, cooperate!”

Holding the needle, the pregnant woman jabbed it fiercely into Ye Feng’s finger.

With a ”bang!” the needle broke instantly, and not even a drop of blood flowed from Ye Feng’s finger.

”What?” The pregnant woman was stunned, not having expected Ye Feng’s finger to be so tough that the needle broke without even piercing his skin.

Ye Feng calmly looked at the pregnant woman, ”Think more of the good deeds for your unborn child. Why keep doing such vile things? Aren’t you supposed to be a public servant, serving the people? Is it really okay to bend the law for personal gain?”

The woman exploded in rage at hearing Ye Feng bring up her child, unable to contain herself, ”Shut up, you mongrel! Just cooperate with me and provide a DNA sample!”

Hearing the pregnant woman’s words, Ye Feng calmly said, ”What’s next? Going to tell me my finger hardly bleeds, so you’ll need to prick me a dozen times, or even dozens? Just like you did to Lin Shiyu yesterday?”

”How did you know that?” The pregnant woman was taken aback, looking at Ye Feng in surprise. She realized this was no simple matter; it was one thing after another, too many coincidences.

Obviously, Ye Feng had prepared for this all along!

Yet Ye Feng remained calm, looking at the pregnant woman, ”I am Lin Shiyu’s husband.”

Afterwards, Ye Feng said to the pregnant woman, ”I have something good on my phone. Let me show you! Oh, and let’s get Director Zhang in here too.”

Upon hearing Ye Feng’s words, the pregnant woman became extremely nervous and immediately called Director Zhang in.

Director Zhang glared at Ye Feng, ”Bastard, what tricks are you playing? I warn you, you’d better behave yourself!”

”See for yourself!” Ye Feng took out his phone and played a video.

”Speak up! Did you hit the old lady or not?”

”Just tell me, did you hit the old lady, nothing else...”

”This is excessive self-defense...”

Seeing all of this, Director Zhang’s face looked terrible, as did the pregnant woman’s, with the statement only recording the parts that were favorable to the old lady.
