Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 193: Chapter 190 Donghua’s Crisis Chapter 193: Chapter 190 Donghua’s Crisis The piece of Spring with Colors that Huo Sining had uncovered was exactly such fine jadeite.

The water was lustrous; the green was even, especially where the purple met green—the quality of the material didn’t change, all of which was High Ice Type with a vibrant warmth.

The entire piece of jadeite was consistent in texture, with vivid green and bright purple, and the part that was suitable for use weighed over four jin.

As someone obsessed with purple, Huo Sining fell in love with this piece of jadeite at first sight, particularly after it was unveiled, she was even more captivated.

Spring with Colors is more valuable than green jadeite of the same grade because once you miss a piece like this, there’s one less in the world. Therefore, Huo Sining could disregard other jadeites but couldn’t bear to let this one go to Bai Yishan’s studio.

So she decided to keep this piece of jadeite for herself.

Of course, Huo Sining hadn’t forgotten her earlier plan; she owed Su Jinyuan a debt of gratitude, so she had thought about cutting a good piece of jadeite to give to Su Jinyuan as a favor.

Initially, she had intended to give Su Jinyuan the twenty-plus jin of glutinous jade but that piece was worth at least seven or eight million.

Huo Sining knew Su Jinyuan, and understood that he definitely wouldn’t accept such expensive material, so she felt she should choose a different piece.

She didn’t think much of it at the time, but later that evening, after returning to her room and seeing a box on the dressing table, she remembered that she had cut an increase from a piece of waste material in Pingzhou.

Zhou Zhen’s moss-infused green eventually led Huo Sining to a stone gambling shop near the hotel together with Bai Yishan where they uncovered a High Ice Type Apple Green jadeite weighing over three jin.

After this piece of jadeite was revealed, she didn’t tell Su Jinyuan and Su Qingqing at the time, just put it in her backpack until she returned to S City, where she hadn’t dealt with it until she remembered now.

Although this piece of material wasn’t large, it was worth three to four million, and it had a high-quality texture with excellent saturation and color.

Compared to the twenty-plus jin of glutinous jade, it was certainly more suitable to offer to Su Jinyuan as compensation.

More importantly, this piece of material was uncovered from the waste that had defeated Zhou Zhen, a reason that Su Jinyuan was sure to appreciate and would undoubtedly accept.

“Mr. Su, several clients have said they want to complain to the Department of Industry and Commerce. Also, Zhou’s Jewelry has been seeming restless lately, having snatched several of our deals consecutively. I don’t know who leaked our company’s information, but Zhou’s is prepared to use our clients’ complaints against us.”

Secretary Lin reported everything after entering the room and cautiously spoke after checking Su Jinyuan’s expression.

Upon hearing this, Su Jinyuan’s face instantly darkened. He had not yet settled the score with Zhou Zhen for the scheme in Pingzhou, and now the Zhou Family seemed to be overreaching by reaching into Donghua!

“The Zhou family is living too comfortably, not having tasted enough bitterness!” Su Jinyuan sneered, directing Secretary Lin, “Leak the current financial situation of Zhou’s; they will trip over themselves naturally, not having the capacity to focus on us anymore!”

Secretary Lin nodded, “What about those client orders, then? The smaller investors are one thing, but there’s a large order from a long-time client in Paris, France. If we can’t give them a satisfactory response, it might be difficult to cooperate with them again.”

Su Jinyuan felt agitated and frowned, “Go ahead and get busy for now; I’ll think of something.”

When Huo Sining arrived at Donghua, she noticed the atmosphere of the company seemed somewhat tense, which she hadn’t paid much mind at first.

She was there to deliver something to Su Jinyuan. The receptionist had already met Huo Sining and knew her identity, so she did not stop Huo Sining this time.

Huo Sining went straight to the door of Su Jinyuan’s office. However, before she could walk over to knock, she saw Secretary Lin tiptoeing out cautiously and gently closing the door to the president’s office.

“Secretary Lin?” Huo Sining called out softly behind him.

“Oh my goodness—” Startled, Secretary Lin shrank his neck and almost dropped the documents in his hands.

Turning around to see Huo Sining smiling at him, Secretary Lin immediately sighed with relief and patted his chest again and again before he said with a shaken voice,

“Miss Huo, you almost scared me to death. What brings you here?”

Stretching her neck to peer through the blinds into Su Jinyuan’s office, Huo Sining then asked curiously, “The atmosphere in the company seems a bit strange. Has something happened?”

Upon hearing this, Secretary Lin’s face stiffened, and after hesitating for a moment, he explained the situation.

It turns out that before Su Jinyuan went to Pingzhou, Donghua had several high-end jadeite orders that were delayed because they lacked a certain color of jadeite raw material.

Originally, according to Su Jinyuan’s plan, he went to Pingzhou specifically to purchase this material. He had chosen many rough stones at the Pingzhou Public Plate, and upon returning, he immediately had the craftsmen cut open all the stones.

The odds of the rough stones increasing in value were high, but to Su Jinyuan’s disappointment, among the stones that did increase in value, not one had the urgently needed color. There was not even a piece of jadeite of lower grades, such as glutinous rice type.

With no other choice, Su Jinyuan could only ask the sales department to negotiate with customers to see if the orders could be switched to another color.

However, what irritated Su Jinyuan was that the customer service’s negotiations with the clients were not satisfactory.

The clients had been waiting for their orders for a long time, and Donghua had been confidently promising that there would be goods available in November, so the clients were also willing to wait.

Now the company was informing them that there were no goods, and the clients were unhappy. None of them were willing to accept this answer.

Many clients claimed that if Donghua could not deliver by the contract’s deadline, they would demand the company to compensate tenfold according to the contract terms.

“How much is ten times the compensation? Is it a lot?” Huo Sining instinctively became concerned about the money issue.

Worry flashed in Secretary Lin’s eyes, “If we really calculate it, the amount of this order isn’t big, only about thirty million. But if we truly have to compensate tenfold, it’s not a small sum at all.”

“And what matters most is not the issue of compensation. Those few individual clients might still be manageable; maybe a private settlement can be reached come the time. But among the orders this time there is a trade show in Paris, which is a long-term client of Donghua. They order a batch of high-end jewelry each season from our company.”

“If they are not satisfied with how this issue is resolved, they might stop cooperating with Donghua in the future. That would be the greatest loss for Donghua!”

Hearing this, Huo Sining frowned as well. She had over thirty rough stones in hand, which hadn’t been cut open yet, so she didn’t know what kinds of jadeite were inside. After thinking it over, she subconsciously asked,

“So what exactly is the color of jadeite that we are short of? Is this color of jadeite very rare and hard to come by?”
