Alpha's Regret: The Seventh Time was Forever

Chapter 719: Chapter 719 - You are my mate, Voren

”Our mate, we found our mate.”

Marsha responded through Seraphine, her voice a wild, exultant cry that echoed through every fiber of her being.

Excitement filled her heart as understanding settled in, a warmth spreading from her chest to the tips of her fingers and toes.

The mate bond was so strong and she wondered how anyone could reject their mate. It was incomprehensible. Impossible. Like trying to deny the sun its warmth or the moon its pull on the tides.

Love was soft, settling in the heart like morning mist. But the mate bond was wild, possessing every inch of her body. It was a blend of obsession, desire, attraction, and everything else blended together, a storm that raged through her veins and left her breathless.

She ignored the voices of other she-wolves recognizing their mates and removed her blindfold.

Tears filled her eyes instantly, blurring her vision, spilling over her cheeks like rain. Her heart stopped, then started again, beating with a new rhythm, a rhythm that matched his.

”It’s you.”

The man before her removed his blindfold, his joy knowing no bounds. His eyes, those beautiful, dark eyes she had loved for so long, were filled with tears of their own. His smile was the sun breaking through clouds.

”Were you expecting somebody else?”

Seraphine threw herself into his arms and he naturally lifted her to his waist, she wrapped her slender legs possessively around him.

”You are my mate, Voren.”

Her voice was wrapped in joyful tears as Voren responded, his voice thick with emotion.

”You are mine, and mine only.”

His lips met hers with passion, his arms wrapping tightly around her. The kiss was a claim, a promise, a declaration to the world that she belonged to him and he to her.

When he pulled away, he lifted his head to the blood moon above and whispered, his voice reverent.

”Thank you, Selene.”

The rays of the blood moon had overshadowed the Grimroot pack, giving it a crimson look. The world was bathed in red, painted in the colors of love and destiny.

’Mark her.’

Bloodfang growled in his mind, the beast’s voice rough with need and impatience. Voren laughed, the sound warm and full of joy.

For someone like him who was always grumpy before, this side of him was a surprise.

’Relax, buddy. From what I read, she can be sent into heat at any moment. It will be faster with our mark. Don’t forget about the Alphas around. Corvine is only in charge of pack members. Leaders are still our responsibility.’

Bloodfang sighed in annoyance, the sound rumbling through Voren’s chest.

’Fine, but you have to make sure to mark her under the blood moon got it?’

’Got it.’ Voren agreed.

Seraphine wasn’t finding it easy too. Marsha had taken over her mind, the wolf’s presence a wild, pulsing force that demanded to be heard.

’Why isn’t he marking us? Is he afraid we’ll begin to feel his emotions?’

’Relax, we have all night to mark each other.’

’But the blood moon only lasts for two hours. If he doesn’t, make sure to initiate it.’ Marsha said possessively, her voice a growl of impatience. Seraphine noticed something and asked, her curiosity piqued.

’You seem extremely energetic.’

’Yeah, your ancestors were very foolish. If the mate bond had been there from the very beginning, you wouldn’t be suffering so much. It protects the pups of mates but you will feel even better after marking each other.’

Marsha’s words made Seraphine desire the mark of her mate even more. The mate bond was amazing and she knew it was the best gift from the moon goddess to their kind. A gift that had been denied for too long, a gift that had been rejected by the selfishness of those who came before.

”Babe, I’ll mark you before the passing of the blood moon. Can we check on the leaders? We have to make sure they don’t create problems when we begin our mating tonight.”

Voren cooed in her ears, his warm breath sending shivers down her spine. Seraphine shivered in his arms from desire, her body responding to him in ways she couldn’t control.

”Yeah, V, duty calls, but we have to be fast. I want you, every inch of you inside me.” She said shyly but Voren smirked, his eyes darkening with hunger. ”I love it when you talk dirty.”

His lips pressed against her once more as Seraphine pleaded, her voice breathless. ”Please let me down. I can’t take on my queenly roles like this.”

This time, Voren did not argue. This woman was his in body and soul, in marriage, pregnancy, love, and the mate bond, so who would dare to break them apart when even the moon goddess had blessed them?

Liah threw herself into Seraphine’s arms as Corvine embraced Voren, the two couples colliding in a tangle of joy and laughter.

”Voren, Liah is my mate. This mate bond is wild. I’ve never felt anything like it, and every other she-wolf feels non-existent.”

”You are right about that, bro.” Voren hugged him back, happy for their bond, his heart swelling with joy for his friend.

”Thank you for initiating the restoration of the mate bond.” Corvine said with joy, his voice thick with emotion. ”You are a true leader.”

Voren laughed, the sound warm and genuine. ”Stop being sentimental. The mate bond is part of us, and the reason we don’t function in our full capacity without it. Had this existed in time past, I know without a doubt that Olivia would not have succeeded in fooling my father.”

Corvine agreed, his expression growing thoughtful. ”So, you feel her pregnancy through the bond?” He asked, Voren smiled, his hand resting on Seraphine’s stomach.

”Yeah, but not too strong. After marking her, I’ll be able to feel everything she feels.”

”Fuck.” Corvine cursed, his eyes widening with sudden realization. ”I’m gonna get my wife pregnant tonight.”

Voren could not stop laughing, the sound echoing through the crimson-lit clearing. But soon, both he and Corvine’s excitement died when they heard Kael’s voice, sharp and desperate, cutting through the night.

”Jasmine, don’t reject him because of me. I already accepted my mate.”
