The Hero Became a Succubus, and the Only Way to Level is to… What?!

Kanae awoke under a pile of goblins inside a dark and musty tent. Someone was panting heavily on top of her. A goblin, head buried between her breasts and plunging away into her pussy. Another rubbed his dick against her lips. Sweat and dried cum stuck to her body like glue. It worked. Throwing herself to the mercy of goblins’ insatiable appetite had finally sated her own hunger.

”Uuh… Yeah! Take it, you succubus slut!” The thrusting goblin shoved his dick as deep as he could, which wasn’t very, and blew his load. After finishing, he wiped the sweat from his brows as if it was a job well done and exited the tent. Another goblin entered, and when the flap pulled back, Kanae caught sight of a line of more pint-sized green men outside.

”Alrighty! I’ve been waiting all night!” This new goblin rubbed his hands together and giggled.

Kanae whipped her tail around and clamped it on his cock. He jumped with a start. The inner walls of her pulsating flesh sucked him until climax. Drained, the goblin collapsed onto his back in a daze of pleasure. She shoved away the one using her mouth for a blowjob and crawled out of the tent.

The line turned out to be much longer than Kanae expected. It winded around other cabins and tents of the goblin settlement. It seemed every goblin in their personal little place in Ehmvier, Greentown, wanted a piece of her. Old goblins, young goblins, everyone was in line.

”What gives? You done already?”

”I’ve been waiting all night!”

”Yeah, I wanna fuck the empress!”

”Playtime’s over, boys. Maybe next time,” Kanae said, stretching her arms and recalling promising to provide Arenade a similar orgy.

Countless goblins threw their hands in the air and shuffled away. A particularly handsy one embraced Kanae from behind. He wasn’t tall enough to stick his dick into her, so it poked through between her thighs instead.

”Come on, toots. One more round. I fucked you so good, you were screaming my name last night! Oh, I got a better idea. You become my mate, and we can bang every night until you’re pregnant!” the goblin suggested.

”I don’t even know who you are. You could be Goblin 1 or Goblin 132 for all I know.” Kanae charmed him to let go and take a step back.

”But I thought we had something speciiaaaaalll!” he cried as she flew off.

When Kanae returned to the castle, Prestidigitation wasn’t enough. The spell only got rid of minor messes. She spent an hour in the bath with Arenade’s most fragrant shampoos to wash off the goblin musk.

”What happened last night?” Kanae sighed, sinking into the warm waters of the grand bath. ”I barely remember anything other than feeling starved. If it wasn’t for Mitty, I wouldn’t have thought to drain a ready supply of horny goblins.”

”I’m always happy to help my mate!” Mitty’s voice echoed from behind.

Kanae glanced back to find the goblin entering with only a towel around his waist. The tip of his glorious cock peered out from the bottom.

”I’m worried I won’t be able to control myself again.” Kanae frowned.

”Have you tried asking other succubi for help? Maybe Claudia, Alicia, or Hilde might know something,” Mitty explained, slipping into the water next to her.

She leaned her head against his and said, ”I guess I could. We do have the charmed Vivirens connecting a portal between here and Radevic. But Alicia can get clingy with me if she’s worried, and I’d rather all that energy go to taking care of Dawn. No, I need to figure this out myself. This hasn’t really happened before. I wonder… I wonder if the devil Satine getting in my head a while ago has anything to do with it?”

A surge of energy coursed through the walls like lightning across dark clouds. Kanae and Mitty jumped out of the pool.

”What was that?” Kanae asked.

”I-I was hoping you knew! It sounded like it came from upstairs?” Mitty looked up.

Eliza’s tower did something similar every time they used the Arcen. Wait. The Viviren portal! Who would be using them right now?

They quickly dried off and got dressed, then darted upstairs to the portal room at the end of the hall across the library. Spooked castle guards crowded around the entryway. Kanae ordered them to step back. Inside the small chamber, Saint Priest Lanil Hammerthorn, her living grimoire Chappy, and Archbishop Patrice Starborne were pulling on someone’s hand, sticking out of the portal. The female Viviren mage struggled to concentrate on the spell. Every now and then, the shimmering portal threatened to sputter out of existence.

”WHAT IS GOING ON?” Kanae cried.

”Amethyst, support the mage before Elizabeth loses her hand!” The archbishop demanded.

Kanae stepped into the magic circle drawn on the ground, lending her mana to the ritual casting that kept the portal open. It stabilized and opened larger. Squiggly lines straightened out. Elizabeth Bedlam stumbled through, falling on top of Patrice. Another Saint Priest, whom Kanae hadn’t had the pleasure of getting to know, emerged after. Bocchiri Ruu, the common elf. If she remembered correctly, he was crowned an Ice Mage, a unique class of Mage that specialized in cold spells and magic. The elf regarded Kanae with a silent head nod. His thin eyes lingered on her with appraising intent.

”When you said you were going to ask Archbishop Patrice for help, I thought you’d be taking your tower. Can you maybe try asking next time before using the portal?” Kanae groaned.

”It costs a fortune to teleport an entire tower! A portal by a Viviren mage? Just their entire pool of mana.” Eliza got to her feet and dusted herself off.

”And a close call with your hand… Is this really okay though? Radevic’s Archbishop taking a vacation to another country again?” she asked.

”I am not taking a vacation, thank you very much. Grand Eye Analise and King Turren agreed that the cult poses an existential threat to all of us. The birth of a lich is also a momentous occasion. I wish to bear witness and partake in one’s creation. As well, you will want it to go smoothly. Therefore, I have enlisted two of the Saint Priesthood’s best spellcasters to aid in this endeavor.” Archbishop Patrice gestured to the crowned Warlock and Ice Mage.

Kanae always thought such a title would belong to Saint Priest Danito and Sheena Darrow, who were a Mage and Thaumaturge respectively. Their own colleagues most likely knew better than she did.

”I haven’t forgotten you, you slutty succubus!” Chappy slapped Kanae’s ass with a new, long ribbon bookmark.

”You look great, Amethyst! And congratulations on your baby, Dawn. Alicia let me see her when we entered your hall. She was soooo cute!” Lanil squealed.

”Oh, thanks!” Kanae smiled.

”Enough talk.” Archbishop Patrice made for the door. ”Amethyst, you need not see to our living arrangements. We will be staying in Elizabeth’s tower. Elizabeth and Lanil, come! Edina, the lich-to-be awaits!”

”Wait, what about Bocchiri?” She pointed to the elven Saint Priest.

”He wanted to speak with you!” the archbishop exclaimed from around the corner.

Both of them stood there in awkward silence. Them and the lone Viviren mage, who was catching his breath on the ground.

”Could I trouble you for some tea?” Bocchiri, whose lower half of his face was masked, asked them politely.

”Oh, uh… Yeah! Follow me,” Kanae said.

They headed down to the kitchens, where Kanae pulled aside a servant and asked him to brew their best tea. Joined by Mitty, she escorted Bocchiri outside the castle under a pavilion. His hair had grown out since she last saw him. A full head of black hair pulled back into a ponytail. It seemed he gave up the shaved sides.

Bocchiri sat down and gazed out into the distance, taking in the sights of the courtyard that surrounded them. The man was incredibly calm and reserved. Several wands were fastened on his forearm under the sleeves of his white Saint Priest regalia.

”So… Do you like being a Saint Priest?” Kanae made small talk.

”Yes,” Bocchiri answered.

”Any thoughts about Edina becoming a lich?”

”No.”

”H-How is it over in Radevic?” Mitty chimed in.

”Fine.”

Kanae exchanged nervous glances with Mitty. She never had a more difficult time talking to someone before. A silly idea came to mind. A tease. Maybe a lingering need to express her depravity that had stuck.

”Alright, Saint Prest. What do you think about… these?” Kanae flashed her bare tits at him.

”Too big for my tastes,” Bocchiri said flatly.

In contrast, Mitty couldn’t help but stare wide-eyed at her chest. Embarrassed, Kanae quietly fixed her clothes. A few servants broke the awkward silence. They laid out a platter of tea and biscuits, poured a cup for each of them, then bowed and stepped away.

”Hummingsage, Your Majesty. Her Majesty, Arenade, enjoys their citrusy flavor in the morning over coffee,” the servant explained.

”Thank you.” Kanae nodded for them to leave.

Bocchiri unhooked one side of his cloth mask. Kanae and Mitty made no attempt to hide that they were staring. The fabric fell to the side, revealing an entirely tattooed lower jawline inked in waves and tides. He ignored their gazes, opting instead to lift the tea up to his lips and sip. A very subtle and warm smile creased the corners of his mouth.

”It is very lovely. Thank you,” Bocchiri said.

”I hope I’m not prying, but does your tattoo mean something?” Kanae asked.

”Indeed, it does. Where I am from, this denotes that I am of the serving caste,” he explained.

”You’re not originally from Radevic?”

Bocchiri shook his head. ”I hail from a small island called Tau’we, which is part of Nu-hauta, an archipelago off the coast of Port Kandis. Tau’we has been sinking for decades. I came to shore with my parents at a young age and entered the service of Radevic.”

With how big this world was, it came as no surprise to Kanae that there were far more places beyond the eastern continent than just Ortesia and Rotandrix. She had never ventured beyond these shores though. Maybe Renya went in her sea-faring days.

”Hold on… the archbishop said you wanted to speak with me?” Kanae recalled.

”Yes. In Savir, you met a man named Toro Squa, did you not?” Bocchiri asked.

Whiplash punched Kanae like flying into a brick wall.

He continued, ”That look told me everything. Allow me to be forthcoming with you, Amethyst. The Toro Squa you met in Savir is King of Nu-hauta Archipelago.”

”Someone you know, Kanae?” Mitty asked.

”Not just know. Toro Squa is the Scorching Dervish, who tried to talk me down and then bargain for his release after we captured him. He was actually a king? What was he doing in Savir?” Kanae tried to make sense of his actions during the Saviran civil war.

”If I may hazard a guess— figure out a way to stop Nu-hauta’s many islands from sinking… as am I. I asked Grand Eye Analise myself to lend Radevic’s aid to my old home, but her hands are tied. I’ve come to ask you, the Empress of the Commonwealth,” Bocchiri explained.

”Lifting islands out of water is kind of… out of my scope. What makes you think I can do it if the leadership and powers that are in Radevic can’t?” She rubbed her horn.

”Because I don’t believe that it is happening naturally. This cause is man-made. Thousands of years in the making. Rather, perhaps I should say dwarven-made?” As soon as those words left his mouth, Kanae was all ears. He continued, ”When I was a child, sailing between islands with my parents, we discovered a cove. My people build totems to indicate where we mustn’t go, as a warning to future generations. I did not heed them. Inside that cove there was a cave, leading into the depths. I wandered far below the sea level until a door with strange symbols prevented me from going any further. I remember those engravings clearly. Would you like to see?”

Kanae called for a servant to bring a piece of paper and pencil to Bocchiri. The Saint Priest got to writing right away. She held her breath as his fingers flew across the parchment until inscriptions formed a single word— temple.

”You can read these symbols, yes?” Bocchiri asked.

”Oh, shit. Yes, I do… Give that to me right now!” Kanae balled it up and fired a concentrated beam of flame from her ring to incinerate it. ”Does anyone else know about this?”

”I can only imagine Toro may know. Please, Amethyst. There must be a way to reverse Nu-hauta’s sinking. I believe the answer lies underground. King Toro Squa has been searching for help for years. He will be eternally grateful to anyone who helps him,” the Saint Priest explained.

”I’m sorry. I have to think about this. That’s all I can say,” she offered apologetically.

”I understand. Archbishop Patrice and the others may demand my help. I shall take my leave.” He stood up, fixed his mask, and bowed.

Kanae felt bad for the guy, but if there really was a cult temple in Nu-hauta, letting the entire archipelago sink was the best possible outcome. But all those people who lived on those islands…

”Don’t take it too hard, Kanae. You’ve done a lot for so many people already.” Mitty rested a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

”I would just like a stretch of ten years where it’s nothing but peace, quiet, and all of my lovers in one spot.” Kanae sighed and fell limp into his arms.

”There, there!” He stroked her head.

Wait, Arenade!

”Say, Mitty. How would you feel about fucking Arenade?” Kanae asked.

”Eh?” Mitty turned bright red. ”Where did this come from suddenly? I-I honestly prefer just being with you.”

She felt her heart jump. ”Oh. Hehe, aren’t you sweet? I almost feel guilty having sex with so many people and creatures. Okay, don’t tell anyone, but Arenade accidentally sprung a kink for goblins. We’re satisfying her with simulacrums, which led to that whole fiasco of you helping to find Art. Maybe you know some goblins who can fuck her and keep a secret?”

”That’s a weird thing for her to like one day, but yeah. I can find some goblins for Arenade! I’ll be discreet so this doesn’t get around either,” he promised.

”You’re the best! Try and find ten. I want her in a full lone-woman orgy. I’m going to go check on my recent guests. See if I can offer any help with the soul cairns.” She kissed Mitty on the cheek and flew off.

Bocchiri had a head start. He must have made it there already. Edina, Lanil, Patrice, and Eliza were likely in the middle of conducting a ritual to create the next soul cairn. As she neared the squirreling’s dreaded lair, the rooftop exploded and a column of necromantic energy shot into the sky. Countless moaning souls cried out as they were sucked downwards.

”WHY DOES THIS LOOK FAMILIAR?!” Kanae descended and raced in through the front door left open. She ran right into Bocchiri’s back, who was standing in the doorway into Edina’s summoning room. ”What’s going on?”

”See for yourself.” Bocchiri rolled his eyes and stepped aside.

It was utter chaos. A suction of air pulled things towards the center of the room, to a soul cairn that was the source of the vacuum.

”Chappy, hang on!” Lanil cried, holding his ribbon bookmark as the whirlwind drew him in.

”Don’t let me go, baby! I hear a soul cairn’s a terribly boring place to be trapped in!” Chappy’s pages flapped violently.

”I told you fuckers, you were giving too much mana! Now look at what you did!” Edina groaned.

”Pardon me, you wanted to speed things up when we wanted to take things slowly!” Eliza fired back.

”If you two won’t stop bickering, I’ll shove both of you into the soul cairn! Now help me get this damn funnel under control!” Patrice boomed.

Kanae slapped a hand to her face. Forget the Cult of Lust and Depravity. They were probably going to destroy the world a lot sooner than anyone else.
