The Hero Became a Succubus, and the Only Way to Level is to… What?!

Kanae threw open the drapes to slightly less warm morning sunrays. She pushed out the windows to let in a crisp breeze. The leaves were beginning to change colors. Some slipped from their branches and danced across the cobbled roads, piling up on the side of buildings and curbs. Wagons pulled in autumn crops like squash and dark leafy greens. Summer was nearly at its end, and the Commonwealth had undergone major changes from this year alone.

While Petyr had quietly ascended to the role of Supreme Commander of the Commonwealth, the military shake-up was anything but. She asked Kanae for an audience scheduled later this morning. For what, who knew?

”Hopefully, nothing bad.” Kanae stretched under the sunlight before turning back to the room.

Mitty lay sprawled out peacefully in bed. He had pitched a large tent between his legs with the sheets. Kanae climbed back in and snuck underneath. She came across his large morning wood, fully erect like the mast of a ship. It smelled of such strong masculine musk which stirred her hunger.

Salivating, Kanae licked the length of the shaft. Mitty shuddered. He made a breathy gasp but still sounded fast asleep. She circled the tip with her tongue, and that was when Mitty’s legs started kicking the bed and fingers gripping the duvet.

”Are you having a nice dream? Hehe~” Kanae took his cock into her mouth. She bobbed up and down, gradually picking up the pace. Her tongue traced the thick and throbbing veins. She lowered one hand to finger herself.

”Nngh… Kanae… We had sex all night yesterday, and you still want more?” Mitty had awakened and pulled the sheet off.

”I can’t help myself when you’re waving this big thing around.” She gave his dick a long smooth, then got up to position the massive thing underneath her pussy. Just merely sitting down, and it entered with ease. ”Yeessss! Mitty, my mate… Kiss me…”

Kanae rolled her tongue out and leaned down until the full weight of her body was on top of Mitty. They embraced tightly, drooling from their connected lips. His grasping hands clamped down on her ass as she pounded faster and harder. The percussion of their intimate applause echoed off the walls. Long strokes had the tip of his dick knocking on the entrance of her womb.

Plap! Plap! Plap! Plap! Plap! Plap! Plap! Plap! Plap!

”Kanae, I’m cumming…” Mitty cried.

”Fill me up! I want your strong seed cooking me from the inside— ahhhhhh!” Kanae brought her hips down one final time and climaxed. Hot spunk oozed out from her due to the sheer pressure. They laid there, basking in the afterglow of sex and feeling each other up.

Unfortunately, it didn’t last as long as Kanae liked. Someone knocked on the door.

”Your Majesty, Petyr Stormcloud has arrived and is waiting in the throne room. She awaits with a company of officers,” Zadris announced.

”I’ll be right there.” Kanae sighed, kissing Mitty one more time before climbing out of bed.

”You’re meeting Petyr again? What’s that about?” Mitty sat up and asked.

”Probably military stuff. Petyr’s been overhauling the army all month,” she explained.

Cum leaked from her pussy. It splattered on the ground, much to Kanae’s dismay. She held it in, waddled over to the large metal-banded chest next to her dresser, and rapped her knuckles on it.

”Open up, Chester!” Kanae hollered.

The mimic’s many eyes cracked open first, followed by the upper jaw lid snapping open. Chester had grown a bit since Kanae brought him back from Savir. His inner fleshy parts were squeezing out from the seams, and the wooden planks that formed his shell creaked with every little movement. She wasn’t sure how mimics worked and grew. Did they need another container to live in? Chester seemed fine for the time being though. He bounced energetically as if he was a pet dog.

”Chester, mommy needs cleaning. Can you be a good boy and eat me out?” Kanae spread her legs.

Chester’s thick and slimy tongue flew out, lapping at her pussy with ravenous intent. Her knees were turning to jelly. The texture of the mimic’s tongue was full of warts and ridges. A perfect tool for pleasure. He licked so ferociously that there wasn’t a trace of cum left behind.

”Mmm! Okay, that’s it… Good boy, Chester… You made me cum, too…” Kanae panted, patting her mimic pet as he tongued her pussy.

”Kanae, I’m going to be gone for most of the day. Your friend Takumi asked me to help look through one of the mines. Apparently, a new tunnel opened up that they need checking out. It’s a diamond mine, so he’s expecting to find a ton more diamonds,” Mitty explained while getting dressed.

”Sounds like the hole might be some stone borers’ doing. Be safe,” she urged him.

Her goblin lover came over for a goodbye kiss, and Kanae obliged by leaning down to give Mitty just that. After he had gone, she got dressed and joined Zadris in heading to the throne chamber.

It was early enough that servants were still sweeping and mopping. They normally finished some time before Kanae woke up. As she and Zadris strolled down the corridors, they stepped aside for them and bowed. She waved to each and every one with a smile.

Zadris flipped through several letters in her hands. ”Your Majesty, we have received word back from our allies. Grand Eye Analise and King Turren declined to send soldiers, but were ready to help at first signs of aggression. I regret to inform you, Artaggon has also declined. Lord Charron seems to be dealing with an outbreak of sex automatons in Suvius. He will keep us updated with regular correspondence. Talahurah and Highgreen have agreed to send a thousand soldiers each, and Hollow Glade sends a combined force of 500.”

”What about Savir?” Kanae asked.

”Approximately 2500 between the Bravost, Avanesse, and Elusis. They are led by Archmage Donnu and Edirashok Misiah. The letter also states that Rasheena is pregnant with a litter of pups. We can prepare her a gift from you as a gesture of congratulations. Finally, the East Saviran Trading Association sends a delegation to broker trade deals with us and the city-states.”

”I’ll leave the gift-planning to you. And good thing I listened to Petyr about starting construction of a second barracks and some garrisons. I just hope our harvests were good enough this year to feed the extra mouths.” She glanced out the window in passing, getting a gander of her now thriving city again thanks in large part to Rosaline’s potions.

They stopped just short of coming into view from the throne chamber doors. The two guards manning the entrance straightened their backs and saluted.

”How do I look, Zadris? Presentable?” Kanae asked, smoothing out her regal dark purple gown adorned with golden ornaments, and adjusting the tiara crown on her head.

”Stunning, beautiful, delicious, ravishing, sexy, lovely—”

Kanae glared at her.

”Presentable, Your Majesty.” Zadris curtsied.

”Alright. Let’s see what Petyr wants this time,” Kanae said and entered the throne.

As soon as they came in, the chatter stopped all at once. There were twenty officers in the chamber. None that Kanae recognized, except for Petyr and Manabe. The officers were dressed in resplendent attire. Coats with floral embroidery and tassels that hung from them like trophies, heavy silken capes that draped down to their knees, and sabres sheathed in decorated scabbards.

Ten to each side and framing the long carpet leading up to the throne seat, they bowed as Kanae and Zadris passed by. Manabe, too. Petyr was the only one who didn’t. Some of the officers didn’t like that. Kanae noticed their side-eyes and quiet snarls directed at the high elf.

When Kanae reached the throne seat, she didn’t take a seat. Instead, she nodded for Zadris to begin.

”Her Majesty, Empress Kanae Toyomi has granted Supreme Commander Petyr Stormcloud’s request for an audience. Also in attendance is Commander Manabe and officers of the Commonwealth’s army,” Zadris explained.

As though a flip had switched to animate them, several of the officers stepped forward.

”Your Majesty, may I just say you are the epitome of beauty!” a human man exclaimed.

”We have not met, Your Majesty, but I am General Lornette Alloway. I serve the Empire of Sin dutifully in your name.” The elven woman bowed low.

”Thank you all for coming, but I want to hear Petyr speak. What did you want this meeting for?” Kanae asked.

”I’ve brought before you parasites that leech off the Commonwealth to enrich themselves, while doing nothing that would merit such a reward,” Petyr said.

An uproar exploded in the room. Every single officer protested. Manabe stood there, stunned and unsure what to do.

”What? Liar!”

”You said we were here to petition for funding our troops!”

Petyr turned to them with a fiery glare. ”That wasn’t a lie. We will fund them with the finances saved by demoting all of you to grunts. General Lornette claims to lead a mounted infantry battalion. She doesn’t even know how to saddle a horse. Some are members of nobility, who came into their positions for a cushy title. One of them allocated funds to have prostitutes regularly visiting him! Kanae, these rogues slithered their way into the chain of command to make themselves comfortable. Your country is still young and in its growing pains. I don’t blame you for not seeing it happen. The fault lies with Manabe when he expanded leadership to diffuse workload.”

”Wait, but how could you know for sure?” Kanae asked.

”I spoke to your soldiers— something a leader of men should be doing often. They know who their officers really are and who skirts by,” she explained.

”Your Majesty!” A dark elf came right up to the throne steps, only for Zadris to impede him half-way. ”The high elf lies. She’s Ortesian! We fought her when they invaded! Petyr is clearly trying to sabotage the Commonwealth. We are the ones who serve faithfully. Please, see through her lies.”

Kanae looked at Manabe, who had been quiet during this entire ordeal.

”I… agree with Petyr. It is my fault, so I’m accepting responsibility. Part of making it up to you is deferring to someone who knows better and admitting wrong. When I promoted them, I was just hoping to lessen my workload… But Kanae, if you dismiss them… I want you to dismiss me, too, because that’s what I deserve,” Manabe pleaded.

”You dirty, stinking orc! I’ll—” The human man from earlier stormed up to Manabe, fist pulled back until Petyr grabbed him by the throat and shoved him across the chamber.

”Hmph. I’ll vouch for Manabe to retain his position for his honesty and willingness to atone. But the rest of them make me sick.” Petyr growled, warhammer glowing in hand and causing the others to step back.

The remaining officers all started pleading to Kanae at once. Any pretense of pride vanished. Nauseous, Kanae rested her hand on Lust and casted Mass Charm to silence them.

”Temptation and the Empire of Ortesia threatens the Commonwealth. I don’t need pretenders and slackers leading my armies. Petyr, thank you for bringing this to my attention. As Supreme Commander, do as you see fit,” Kanae insisted.

”Of course, Your Majesty.” Petyr tasted her own words like savoring a gourmet meal. ”From henceforth, you are all demoted and stripped of your ranks. Tomorrow, you will report to basic training. Take your regalia off and disarm yourselves. Someone more deserving will don them in your place.”

Disgraced officers disrobed their uniform and folded them neatly with their weapons atop the pile. Kanae just knew that the parents of the disgraced noble children were going to seek an audience with her later for this.

”Petyr, 5000 able-bodied soldiers will be arriving in Ehmvier over the course of this month,” Kanae informed her.

”We will be prepared for their arrival, and I’ve already allocated their manpower to fortify our new barracks and garrisons across the country. Thank you.” Petyr, for the first time, took a deep and reverent bow. When she straightened up, a brief look of shock washed over her. As if she couldn’t believe she just did that. She made an about face and added, ”We’ve got work to do, Manabe.”

”Y-Yes, Supreme Commander!” Manabe followed her out, joined by the twenty officers dragging their feet in shame.

Kanae slumped into the throne seat the second they vacated the chamber. Years ruling as Queen, and she still wasn’t used to lording over people. ’Heavy is the head that wears the crown,’ so the saying went. Maybe that was why Arenade had been coming back to the castle less and less. Even the throne’s cushioned seat wasn’t comfortable.

”Not that I disagree with what happened just now, but are you sure letting Petyr lead our armies is a good idea?” Zadris had descended the steps and asked as though a petitioner herself.

”I have my reservations, but it’s mainly Petyr being a hard-ass. She’s right that I need to take this seriously though, and no one has more experience in leading an army than her. What do you think, Zadris? Don’t hold back,” Kanae urged.

”Petyr is temperamental. Radevic and Artaggon may still regard her as an enemy, despite being under your protection and a member of Amethyst Hall. Manabe may have been incompetent, but his kind nature easily earned favor with others. There’s also no telling if Ortesia may have something to leverage against her. Of course, I may very well be overthinking it. The Commonwealth has only prospered under yours and Arenade’s reign,” she explained.

Kanae leaned back in her seat. It would be nice to get Arenade’s thoughts on the matter. Too bad she wasn’t around.

”Speaking of Arenade, where is she?” Kanae asked.

”A Sister of Sin I’d assigned to go undercover in Bright Cloister per your request met with me earlier. She informs me that Empress Arenade has made plans with her closest devotees to go on a mission. To Talahurah. They plan to spread the light of Demigoddess Arenade there,” Zadris said.

”Ugh. I don’t think I can stop them. Bright Cloister is getting too big for its own good. Reminds me of when I founded the Eminence of Sin.”

”If I may, it is rather endearing that Empress Arenade is so taken by her duty to Bright Cloister. During your absences, she was always so focused on running the Commonwealth and had become almost mechanical. There is a brighter light in her eyes as of late. Perhaps, and I hope I’m not too brazen by saying this, you could try to understand where she is coming from.”

The crown suddenly felt a little heavier. Kanae took it off and held it pinched between her fingers. So lightweight, yet carried so much power.

”I could try… Thanks, Zadris. I’m grateful for your wisdom,” Kanae said.

”It is my pleasure to serve, Your Majesty! And the sisterhood that you created is where I found purpose. And my beloved, Lilith.” Zadris sighed delightfully.

”From butting heads to lovers. Now where does that sound familiar? I’m happy for you two.” She smiled.

An explosion jostled the castle. Chandeliers above swayed violently. Kanae and Zadris exchanged glances.

”What was that?!” Kanae gasped.

”It sounded like it came from the rear of the castle!” Zadris exclaimed.

Both of them flew outside as castle guards had already gathered and rushed to the source of the commotion. They followed everyone to Eliza’s tower. A hole had been blown open where Kanae recognized the arcane engine room was. Stone debris was strewn all over the ground.

Elizabeth Bedlam stumbled up to the gaping opening in her tower, hand pressed to her ashy face. Kanae and Zadris flew to the sorceress.

”What the fuck just happened? Are Alicia and Dawn alright?” Kanae grabbed her.

”We’re fine!” Alicia hollered from near the top of the tower. ”Just spooked. Dawn is crying up a storm having been awakened from her nap.”

”My, uh… Arcen just blew up… We might need to… find a dwarven factory for parts to fix it…” Eliza coughed up a breath of smoke.
