The Hero Became a Succubus, and the Only Way to Level is to… What?!

Creating simulacra was a grueling and complicated process. Kanae and Edina spent the entire rest of the day helping Eliza forge them. They failed many times, but thankfully, the only limiting factors were easy-to-acquire slimes and skeletons.

The sorceress Elizabeth Bedlam had the dryad’s pulsing womb set up in the center of the laboratory. Pipes and tubes connected the outer walls of the cavity. A silhouette of a goblin, another simulacrum, floated listlessly within. The nature of the experiment made the room incredibly humid. Steam hissed as pipes and pumps released pressure to alleviate the entire system.

”Hey, we shaped up another batch!” Edina shouted from the table, where the three bodies vaguely resembling goblins molded from slime laid unmoving.

”I’m almost done over here,” Kanae said as she kneaded living slimes onto the skeleton.

In order to make a simulacrum, they had to form the anatomy as close as possible or be left with an abomination. It didn’t need to be exact or precise, because the finer details were done within the dryad’s womb. The slime served as the ’flesh’ and the skeleton was exactly that, the skeleton.

Eliza strolled over to inspect Edina’s simulacra. She nodded, pleased with the result. The sorceress picked up a syringe that ended in a sharp needle, filled it with fungal spores, and injected them into certain parts of the goblinoid body. Normally, a slime would devour and disintegrate anything inside them. But once they dumped the simulacrum into the incubating chamber, something about the dryad womb inhibits corrosive effects and encourages growth instead.

Right now, the simulacrum currently being cooked up was growing mycelium through the slime-made body, which would serve to bind the slime and give it a rudimentary nervous system for autonomous movement.

The dryad womb burped a mixture of steam and floral aroma. That was their signal that gestation had finished. Eliza climbed up a ladder leaning against the side of the incubation chamber, and Kanae flew up over to help. Together, they reached inside to fish out the simulacrum. A perfect imitation of a male goblin. As soon as they placed it on the ground though, the freshly birthed entity’s form melted into a puddle of biomass.

”Another failure.” Eliza huffed. ”What am I missing? I’ve followed my past instructions to the T. Has something changed? Perhaps the difference in environment is at fault… No matter. Bring the next!”

Having helped Eliza for most of the day, Kanae gleaned an inkling of why it had been outlawed in Radevic. If the bones did have souls in them, the failure results would have been extremely cruel. There was also the issue of someone not wanting to come back to life as a simulacrum. Fortunately, these skeletons were soulless. Aside from failing simulacra, everything has been fine so far.

”Maybe the dryad womb isn’t working properly?” Kanae suggested.

”It can’t be. I preserved it immediately when we returned,” Eliza murmured and walked circles around the incubator.

”Maybe Cantu can help. He’s got experience making inanimate living things.” Edina summoned the death knight from an abyssal portal.

The former Necro Lord lumbered out yawning into a meaty clawed hand Corpsestitched from some poor monster it was taken from.

”Ugh. Is it too much to ask that I not be stored like your other undead? I’m very much a real and living being.” Cantu groaned.

”Necro Lord Cantu, is it? Fas…” Eliza’s eyes fell down to the throbbing monster cock hanging between his legs, which Edina had also used Corpsestitched to sow on. ”...cinating.”

”People get scared shitless when they see you. Anyway, we need your help. We’re trying to make a simulacrum, but it’s failing. Maybe you got some ideas?” Edina asked.

The death knight took a gander at his surroundings, then wandered around to inspect each of the mechanical instruments and their process. He nodded subtly, the metal armor donned on him formed him creaking as the plates rubbed together.

Cantu eventually stopped in front of the gas release pumps. He hovered a hand over the vent, and quickly retracted when steam erupted.

”What an elementary mistake. Your system runs too hot. The high temperature is cooking your spores. They aren’t growing into mycelium to hold everything together,” Cantu said as a matter of factly.

”Impossible. The temperatures are perfect. I’ve quadruple-checked everything.” Eliza stormed up to a thermometer attached to the gas release pipe, only to click her tongue. ”You… were correct. The thermometer is broken! It’s reading five degrees lower than it should.”

Fixing the temperature problem was a simple matter. Cantu turned the valve to widen the gas release. More steam pumped out into the room, but the internal systems of the pipe and dryad womb cooled down a little.

They put a goblin in and waited half an hour with bated breath. After pulling it out, the simulacrum didn’t fall apart or melt. The artificial creature stood upright with muted curiosity, glancing around the room.

”By the Supreme One, it worked. Let’s get the rest in,” Eliza said.

”I haven’t finished my last one yet!” Kanae struggled to mold the slime.

”We will just have to settle on five for now.” She beckoned them to hurry.

One after another, they birthed four more simulacra for a total of five. Even Cantu applauded their handiwork.

”I’ve still got it!” Eliza casted Magic Hand and patted herself on the back.

”They feel really real.” Kanae poked the forehead of one. ”Can they act on their own?”

”Not without orders, no. They are entirely reliant on being commanded to function. Simulacra also require mana to function in a similar way to us living creatures when it comes to sustenance. Amethyst, you possess the skill Restore Mana, yes? Go ahead and power them,” she insisted.

As instructed, Kanae casted Restore Mana on each simulacrum. They became a lot more animated than before, able to turn their heads and walk.

”Right. Time to see if they truly are capable of following commands. Since you made them with a singular purpose in mind, I know just the thing. You and you, have sex with the succubus.” Eliza singled out two among them.

”Wha—” Before Kanae had a chance to do anything, both goblins jumped on her.

They toppled to the ground. A goblin simulacrum opened her legs and plunged his dick into her. The second silenced her with a dick in her mouth. They spitroasted Kanae until jizz squirted from their pricks. She managed to push them off as they blew their loads.

”Puh! It tastes like cum… Wait. It tastes like cum? How? Aren’t they made of slime?” Kanae asked.

”They were made of slime. They are now a mimicry of living flesh and basic biological function. Lucky for you, they have no need to conduct other biological processes, given they are sustained by mana. But there you have it. Real simulacra! I would like to continue with my experiments, if that is permitted in the Commonwealth?” Eliza rested a hand on her chest and smiled.

”I don’t see why not. If I ever change my mind, I’ll be sure to give you a very advanced notice,” she said.

”You’re too kind, Empress.” The sorceress bowed.

”I would also like to aid Madame Bedlam in her experiments, if she is willing. Of course, if my master is willing?” Cantu squirmed, trying to hide his eagerness.

”Be my guest, but don’t cheat on me. You wouldn’t want to incur the wrath of the greatest necromancer in the world.” Edina wagged a finger.

”P-Perish the thought…” He gulped.

What they did with the rest was none of Kanae’s concern. The goblin simulacra had been made. Time to show Arenade the goods. She headed back to the castle with the entourage of under-dressed goblins. Eliza didn’t exactly have a wardrobe fit for anyone other than herself, so some cloaks had to suffice.

No one at the castle minded or suspected a thing. It wasn’t exactly uncommon for Kanae to bring people in. She led the simulacra up to Arenade’s private bedchamber. The high elf herself wasn’t around.

”Get inside and wait naked.” Kanae ushered them through, closing the door behind them.

Now, where was Arenade?

Speaking of the devil, Arenade turned the corner into this stretch of the corridor. Their gazes met, and Kanae was surprised to find her in a chipper mood.

”You look giddy. Did something good happen?” Kanae asked.

”Bright Cloister is growing so much, we’re thinking about building a temple specifically dedicated to worshipping Arenade! What about you? What are you doing in front of my room?” Arenade squinted suspiciously.

”I actually have a surprise for you!” She slipped behind the high elf and covered her eyes.

Arenade’s mood lifted even higher.

”For me? You should have! What kind of surprise?” Arenade asked several octaves higher.

”I’ve already set it up inside your room. It’s something you’ve been wanting. I don’t want to hear you say I never listen to your wants and needs,” Kanae said, positioning her in front of the door.

”Quit beating around the bush. What did you get me? Diamonds? Jewels? A statue to commemorate how beautiful I am?” she pressed.

”There really is no limit to your ego, is there? I’m opening the door, so keep your eyes closed until you hear it shut behind you.”

They entered together, and when Kanae slammed the door closed, Arenade’s eyes snapped open. The big smile flipped upside down in an instant. Five goblin simulacra stood obediently in the middle of the room. They were stark naked, their pricks hanging loose and currently limp, and looked as real as their living counterparts.

”Surprise!” Kanae went around behind one simulacrum and lifted an arm. ”I got you goblins. They aren’t actual goblins. Eliza created simulacra to appear as them. Now, you can fulfill your fantasy of getting gangbanged by goblins again. Unlike real ones, they won’t go around blabbing that they screwed you! I was thinking we have a big ole orgy, tonight.”

”Get them out of my sight! Simulacra or not, I don’t want to have s-sex with goblins… I’m finding peace in the light of my own worship. The pleasures of the flesh are beneath me.” Arenade turned her nose up.

”Aw, but I went through a lot of trouble to create these.” She frowned.

”I’m leaving to scope out an open plot in the city to build a Bright Cloister temple. Those simulacra better be gone by the time I come back!” The high elf spun around and stormed off.

Kanae sulked. She was looking forward to an orgy, too.

”I think Her Majesty went this way.” A voice echoed from down the corridor.

”Oh, crap. Hide! I don’t want to have to explain why there are naked goblins in here.” Kanae shooed them into the bathroom and closed the door.

Two guards peered into the room.

”Your Majesty?” a human guard called out.

”Yes! I’m right here!” Kanae cleared her throat and met them at the door. ”Did you need me for something?”

”Not us, Your Majesty. The alchemist Rosaline requested to meet with you. She is in the gallery terrace which overlooks the courtyard,” the other explained.

Rosaline? Kanae was suddenly reminded of the illness that the lamia had mentioned before. If it had anything to do with that, she needed to address it quickly.

”Thank you for telling me. I’ll be right down to meet her,” Kanae said.

They saluted and returned to their post. Kanae threw open the window and leaped out. She flew over the castle, then descended to an outdoor walkway that wrapped around the second floor’s outer wall.

Rosaline was waiting down there like the guards had said. Her brows were furrowed. A serious expression wrinkled what was normally a bubbly and eccentric face.

”Kanae, my friend! I wish I came with good news, but I fear things have taken a turn,” Rosaline said.

”It’s about the sickness?” Kanae asked.

”Oh, good of you to remember.” She appeared genuinely surprised. ”Yes, it is. I think showing you the situation will answer some of your questions better than my explanation.”

They descended from the castle and hailed a carriage bound for the Church of The Many. Several of the clergy outside had donned beaked masks reminiscent of what plague doctors wore. They helped a sick and hunched over elderly woman into the church just as Bishop Marcus emerged. He, too, was wearing a mask. Even though his face was concealed, Kanae could tell the man heaved a labored sigh, then walked back in after the clerics.

Kanae and Rosaline walked up the steps to the church, only to be stopped by a nun.

”Ms. Rosaline, Empress Kanae. We weren’t informed of your visit. You’ve come at an inopportune time. The church is nearing capacity trying to care for the sick. If you seek to enter, I highly insist you wear a mask to protect yourself,” the nun said.

”As I’ve said before, whatever disease these people are suffering from does not appear to be infectious in the way that we normally understand. I’m convinced it is transmitted by another means. The masks do nothing to help. I will not wear it,” Rosaline said.

”How do you know that for sure?” Kanae asked.

”Because one of my apprentices is sick, and I have been nursing him for weeks. If this mysterious disease is contagious, I would have long been infected,” she reasoned.

”Empress?” Bishop Marcus returned to the front to find them.

Thanks to the bishop, they were allowed into the church without a mask. Kanae would have been fine wearing it, but Rosaline seemed resolute about not wearing one. Inside, the church had turned into a triage hospital. Pews that previously furnished the worship hall were pushed to the side and replaced by rows of cots and bedrolls. Clergy walked up and down the bedridden line of sick to administer medicine or check on patients.

Dozens of people were coughing and sneezing at any given time. Shivers were a common symptom that Kanae noticed. Even though it was the middle of summer, people were bundled up in sheets tighter than a caterpillar in its cocoon.

”It is like this in the back rooms as well. At this rate, the other churches will have to take on the load, too. Ehmvier may very well be experiencing a plague,” Bishop Marcus said.

”Is it fatal?” Kanae prepared herself for the worst.

”Not that I’ve seen, thank the Supreme One.” He shook his head. ”That’s the strangest thing. The ailment lasts up to a month, but in that time, they need to be looked after constantly. The sick can barely lift their heads or relieve themselves. But imagine, Empress, that if a quarter of the city’s population fell ill— the smithies, farmers, miners, soldiers, hunters, adventurers… no one will be able to work, and those that can are too busy caring for their sick loved ones.”

Worse yet, if this spread to Talahurah, Highgreen, and the other towns in the Commonwealth, this might devastate the empire as a whole.

Kanae kneeled down next to a child coughing intensely. A cleric was wiping the sweat from the girl’s forehead with a wet towel. She couldn’t stand to imagine Kanade and Suvee suffering like this.

”Rest assured, the crown will work with Rosaline to get to the bottom of this,” Kanae told the bishop.

”That is a great relief, Your Majesty.” He lowered his head in thanks.

As Kanae and Rosaline walked out, they stopped in front of the church to turn back.

”I may need to stop by Master Elizabeth’s tower to seek her aid. As alchemists, there is no issue we cannot solve through alchemy. That, I promise you, Kanae!” Rosaline vowed.

”I’ll talk to Arenade later about what we can do or provide from our end. Maybe she can help us, too,” Kanae said.

Kanae split ways with Rosaline and decided to fly around time to get a better idea of the situation. What started as a few sick folks was spiraling into a plague. From a bird’s eye view, the city was fine for the most part. Smaller sections of the community had a few empty stalls where merchants normally set up shop.

Checking in on Manabe, a not so insignificant number of soldiers were falling ill. A bad sign. Worse still if Temptation or Ortesia decided to launch an attack on the city. As night fell, Kanae figured she had seen enough and returned home. Only then did she realize that the goblin simulacra were still in Arenade’s room.

”Crap. Arenade’s going to talk my ear off if she finds them still there. Hopefully, she isn’t back yet.” Kanae hurried to the high elf’s personal bedchamber.

When Kanae opened the door, a burst of muggy air blew past her. Someone’s coquettish voice squeaked within the dark room, followed by the sound of wet meat slapping together repeatedly. Her jaw dropped when she took a step inside.

It was like the incident at Parn Park again when Bright Cloister accidentally drank Rosaline’s sex potions. Lying in bed, five goblins were fucking Arenade like there was no tomorrow. She was lathered in their spunk, riding on a green dick in the cowgirl position, sucking on another, giving a handjob to two more, and getting railed in the ass by the last.

Arenade’s hefty breasts bouncing up and down were an incredible sight. The hair which she always meticulously took care of was disheveled, covered in cum. Bite marks on her body almost looked like brands of ownership. The goblins getting jerked off squirted their load onto her chest, staining her further. Still, they were hard as rocks.

”Mmh… How dare… meager goblins defile me… I’m not feeling good… It’s so disgusting!” Arenade murmured deliriously with a dick in her mouth.

They were so caught up in the gangbang that none of them noticed Kanae had entered the room. At least, not until she fired up an oil lamp on the wall.

”So much for not wanting to have sex with goblins.” Kanae folded her arms and sneered.

”K-Kanae?!” Arenade took her lips off a dick and gasped. ”It… It’s not what it looks like! They were still here when I got back. Th-This is your fault! These things jumped me when I returned— ooooohh! Ahh! Don’t suddenly thrust faster!”

The two goblin simulacra penetrating Arenade’s ass and pussy picked up speed. She lost the ability to speak. Frenzied moans replaced coherent thought. Her eyes rolled back. The one she had been blowing grabbed her pointed ears and facefucked her. Any traces of resistance vanished, and she turned into a sex toy for them.

Watching the way the fat rippled across Arenade’s plush ass and thighs from every thrust, the short quips of ragged breaths she swallowed, and deep blush on her face got Kanae in the mood.

”Hahh… Goblins… Goblins… So many goblin dicks… all over the place… Why does it feel good?” Arenade rambled in a daze.

”You high elves all seem to have some kind of depraved kink despite acting so mighty and prim. Looks like yours turned out to be goblins. You know, back in Japan, goblins and elves are a common pairing in porn. I guess there’s some truth to it.” Kanae snickered.

Arenade convulsed as the goblins fucked her to an orgasm. She collapsed on top of the goblin beneath her, burying it under her enormous breasts. Cum leaked from every hole. But simulacra didn’t tire. They functioned as long as mana was being supplied to them, and Kanae had charged all five plenty earlier in the day.

A goblin turned Arenade over so that she was lying on her back. It plugged her pussy with its dick, and she didn’t so much as resist. Instead, she moaned aloud and gargled on the cum in her mouth.

”I’m getting in on this.” Kanae undressed and climbed into bed to sit on Arenade’s face.

”Mmmm!” Arenade flailed a little, but with five goblins and a succubus holding her down, she wasn’t going anywhere.

Kanae sucked in a deep breath when the high elf relented and started licking her pussy. The orgy continued late into the night until the simulacra ran out of mana. They simply stopped moving and fell limp. One simulacrum, however, managed to keep going for another hour after the others ceased functioning.

It was fucking Arenade from behind while she was on her hands and knees. Both of her cheeks were stinging red from being slapped so much. Kanae laid below the elf, their arms all over each other and lips locked tightly together swapping fresh cum. Finally, the fifth and final simulacrum blew its last load into Arenade before going still.

”Uuh… I can’t stop… cumming…” Arenade twitched uncontrollably. ”Is its dick out of me yet… I can’t tell…”

”You can’t be done yet. I’m still horny.” Kanae switched on Futanari, and her dick sprung into existence bumping against the high elf’s belly.

”Give me a break…” She grumbled.

In the morning, Kanae and Arenade washed up in the bath. The dried cum stains were harder to remove, and she needed to cast Prestidigitation to get rid of them. They threw open all the windows in the room to air out the stench of sweat and cum, but the smell was likely going to stick for a while.

”I can’t believe we had sex all night with goblins.” Arenade fumed, glaring at the pile of still simulacra in the corner of the room.

”You had fun, didn’t you? Also, I know for sure the simulacra didn’t attack you outright. They have no agency of their own and follow orders.” Kanae smirked.

Arenade tensed up and coughed into her hand.

”I-I suppose there isn’t any harm in keeping them. After all, it’s like you said, these things are more like complex sex toys. Yeah. That’s right. Kind of like owning a dildo. They aren’t alive either… Yeah…” Arenade was really trying to convince herself.

”Anyway, I’m going to meet up with Rosaline. Did you know there’s a strange bug being passed around Ehmvier? People have been getting really sick lately. I’m talking bedridden ’kill me now’ sick, but no one’s died from it yet,” Kanae explained.

”Huh. I had no idea. Some Bright Cloister members came down with an illness a few days ago. I visited them, and they looked like someone took them through the ringer. Stuck at home since,” she said.

Kanae fell into thought. They might be connected. At the same time, this could just be a common disease. But Rosaline seemed convinced that wasn’t the case.

”Can you give me their names? Rosaline might want to visit them to see if it’s the same,” Kanae said.

”One is Berak, a centaur soldier of the Commonwealth. He asked for a leave of absence from the barracks after falling sick. His home is over at the trade ward. The other is Lenore. She’s a dark elf. Works as a seamstress and lives on Rosaline’s block.” Arenade also jotted the information down into a piece of paper and handed it to her.

The two left the simulacra in the bathroom, and Arenade called for servants to come take the sheets out to launder them. They pinched their noses shut coming in. A couple blushed, suspecting what had gone down in here, but they would only be half-right unless one checked the bathroom.
