Reborn in the Apocalypse: A Seductive Beauty Captivates a Pure-hearted Roughneck

35: Chapter 35 I’m fullLu Chengyue was helping Lin Wanqiu knead dough. It’s good to have strength; the dough he kneaded was incredibly smooth.

His muscles bulged even more from the effort. Xu Wanning swallowed a mouthful of saliva. So sexy, tsk tsk.

Her arm was bumped. Lu Zhiyu spoke gloomily, ”Wipe your drool; don’t let it fall into the food.”

Xu Wanning slapped her, ”I’m ignoring you.” After saying that, she ran over to Lu Chengyue’s side, ”Brother Chengyue, let me help you.”

Lu Chengyue glanced at the garlic on the side, ”Help peel the garlic. Auntie Qiu said we’re having dumplings tonight, so we need to make some garlic sauce.”

”Alright.” Xu Wanning agreed immediately, picked up the garlic nearby, and started peeling right there, with no intention of leaving.

She stole glances from the corner of her eye. At the cutting board, Lu Chengyue’s sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, and his forearms were covered in flour.

The dough was repeatedly folded and pushed under the heels of his palms, and his muscles bulged and relaxed in rhythm.

Her hand peeling the garlic paused. She wiped her hands on her pants and drifted over to his side.

Her finger poked straight at him—hard, bouncy. She decided to switch to a bolder strategy: seduction. The previous way was too slow; she’d see if this trick worked.

Lu Chengyue’s arm stiffened, and the dough sank into a pit, ”You...”

Xu Wanning pretended not to hear, and rubbed her fingers on his muscles a couple more times.

Lu Chengyue shuddered, and the tips of his ears flushed red.

Qin Qingru laughed from the side, ”Oh my.”

Lu Chengyue continued kneading, but his rhythm was completely ruined. The dough was kneaded into a mess, and the veins on his neck stood out.

Seeing that he didn’t stop her, Xu Wanning snickered while tracing her finger across his wrist.

”Stop.” Lu Chengyue’s voice was muffled in his throat. Afraid of attracting attention, he didn’t dare stop his hands, his face almost burying itself into the dough, both ears red as blood.

Little did he know, there were plenty of people around watching the fun, everyone waiting to see what would happen next.

Xu Wanning continued to tease, reaching out to pinch the flesh on the inside of his forearm—it was soft.

The dough was completely flattened by Lu Chengyue.

Jiang Heng let out a whistle.

Lu Chengyue suddenly flipped the dough over and slammed it onto the cutting board with a loud bang, his arm unable to stop trembling.

Xu Wanning covered her mouth and silently moved back to continue peeling garlic, looking perfectly serious, as if she hadn’t been the one teasing Lu Chengyue just a moment ago.

Lin Wanqiu and Xu Jingan witnessed the whole thing. They never expected their daughter to be this kind of person. This, this—they wanted to find a hole to crawl into.

Xu Wanning quieted down for a while. Lu Chengyue finished kneading the dough. Qin Qingru pulled Lin Wanqiu over to help wrap dumplings, and Lu Zhiyu, Wen Shuyang, and the Lu couple also gathered around.

Xu Wanning stood next to Lu Chengyue, rolling out dumpling wrappers, while Lu Chengyue sat and waited.

She placed the rolled-out dumpling wrappers down with a serious expression, watching Lu Chengyue fill them and pinch the pleats, but as she watched, her mind began to wander.

”This one is too thick.” Lu Chengyue picked up a dumpling wrapper, his voice strangely stiff.

Xu Wanning’s knee gently nudged Lu Chengyue’s knee, and their legs pressed together.

Lu Chengyue’s hand slipped while pinching the pleats, and the dumpling’s belly split open.

”Oh, it broke.” Qin Qingru, sitting opposite, noticed and quickly said.

Lu Chengyue buried his head to fix it, his ears red again.

But Xu Wanning didn’t intend to let him off the hook. She lifted her toe and gently rubbed his calf, again and again.

Lu Chengyue placed the salvaged dumpling on the tray and picked up another wrapper. His fingers were trembling so badly that flour kept falling off.

”Are you cold?” Shen Yirou glanced at him.

Lu Chengyue swallowed, ”Not cold.” He glanced at the expressionless Xu Wanning. How did she manage to do bad things with such a straight face?

Xu Wanning’s foot, pressed against Lu Chengyue’s ankle, stopped moving; it just stayed there.

His back was tense, and his Adam’s apple bobbed.

The people nearby resumed their chatting and laughing, and the wrapped dumplings were lined up in rows.

Seeing that no one was paying attention, Xu Wanning’s toe slid inside along his pant leg.

Lu Chengyue stood up abruptly, the chair emitting a loud creak. ”I, I’m going to boil some water.” His voice was raspy.

Xu Wanning continued rolling the wrappers, the corners of her mouth curling up.

When Lu Chengyue escaped, his heartbeat was still uncontrollable. His hands were shaking so much while getting water that he spilled a puddle.

After putting the pot on the stove, he spent a moment preparing himself mentally before coming back to sit down. As soon as he sat down, Xu Wanning leaned in again, this time pressing directly against the outside of his thigh.

As she rolled the wrappers, her waist moved, back and forth, back and forth.

Lu Chengyue didn’t look up, his throat tight. The dumplings he wrapped got worse and worse, and several had filling leaking out.

Shen Yirou snatched the dumpling from his hand, ”What’s wrong? This is the first time you’ve wrapped dumplings like this.”

Qin Qingru glanced at Xu Wanning, guessing it was her Ningning causing trouble, ”Oh, maybe he got tired from kneading the dough earlier.”

Lu Chengyue grunted an ”En,” steadied his mind, and continued wrapping, the tendons in his hands twitching.

Xu Wanning’s foot once again crawled mischievously onto Lu Chengyue’s leg, drawing circles on his calf.

Lu Chengyue gritted his teeth and didn’t move away, but his ears just got redder and redder.

The first pot of dumplings was freshly cooked, and everyone gathered around the table to eat. Xu Wanning was still sitting next to Lu Chengyue.

Lu Chengyue, afraid she would do something she shouldn’t again, moved his chair slightly to the side.

Xu Wanning acted as if she hadn’t noticed. She picked up a dumpling from the plate, blew on it, and then stuck out her tongue, the tip touching the dumpling skin.

Lu Chengyue’s chopsticks froze in mid-air.

Her lips slowly wrapped around the edge of the dumpling, and she took a small bite. The filling was exposed. It was hot; she gasped, and her tongue curled.

Lu Chengyue mechanically picked up a dumpling, stuffed the whole thing into his mouth, and frowned from the heat.

Xu Wanning dipped the dumpling in garlic sauce, rolled it twice in the dish, picked it up, and stuck her tongue out again first.

This time she licked the sauce. The sauce dripped down the chopsticks, and she chased it with the tip of her tongue.

Lu Chengyue’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down. Too close, it was still too close.

She bit the dumpling open. The chive and egg filling—yellow and green—was pressed in by her tongue and curled into her mouth.

Lu Chengyue coughed lightly and looked down to eat his own. He tried to pick up a dumpling twice but failed, his peripheral vision uncontrollably continuing to watch her.

Xu Wanning picked up the dumpling soup her mother had served her. Her lips touched the rim of the bowl, her tongue testing the temperature first, but her eyes were fixed on Lu Chengyue.

The hand holding his bowl shook, and some dumpling soup spilled out.

”What’s wrong with you?” Shen Yirou frowned. Her son was acting so strange today.

”Nothing.” Lu Chengyue hurriedly wiped the table.

Xu Wanning was satisfied and stopped acting up, eating obediently. She was afraid that if she continued, Lu Chengyue would get indigestion.

However, when she ate the last one, she repeated her old trick, licking around the edge of the dumpling with her tongue before holding it in her mouth and slowly pushing it in.

Lu Chengyue put down his chopsticks, his fingers gripping the edge of the table until his knuckles turned white.

Xu Wanning finished chewing, swallowed, and stuck out the tip of her tongue to lick the oil off her lips.

Lu Chengyue stood up abruptly, almost knocking over his chair. ”I, I’m full.” He turned and ran, his ear tips bright red as blood.

Xu Wanning drank her soup slowly, her eyes curved into crescents.

The sound of the faucet turning on came from the bathroom, followed by the sound of face-washing.
