Reborn in the Apocalypse: A Seductive Beauty Captivates a Pure-hearted Roughneck

2: Chapter 2 I Don’t Want to Die YetLu Zhiyu was taken aback, ”Mm, my mom asked me to bring him something, you...” She didn’t understand why Ningning was asking about this.

Xu Wanning’s eyes lit up, ”I’ll go with you.”

Lu Zhiyu didn’t refuse, ”Sure, and after we get back, we can go eat at that new malatang place at the school gate. I heard it’s really good.”

Xu Wanning smiled and replied, ”Mm.” A-Yue, wait for me.

After washing up, the four roommates set off for the cafeteria.

Xu Wanning kept working on her phone. She had three months to hoard supplies, and the most important thing right now was to make money. With just her own money, she wouldn’t be able to hoard much.

She needed to liquidate her assets now; she would sell all the designer bags, jewelry, limited-edition clothing, and watches she had bought previously.

”Ningning, what are you doing?” Song Yunqing leaned over to look at Xu Wanning’s phone.

Xu Wanning put down her phone, ”Selling my bags, jewelry, designer clothes, and watches to get some more money.”

Wen Shuyang bit down on her chopsticks, ”Are you for real? Wouldn’t it be enough to just stock up on some instant noodles, bottled water, and bread? I used all my living expenses for this month to stock up, and it should last at least three months.”

Song Yunqing didn’t approve either, ”Those are all limited editions that others can’t even get their hands on if they wanted to, and you’re just selling them like that?”

Xu Wanning gave a bitter smile, ”When The Apocalypse comes, those things won’t mean anything. They’ll be worthless, just things to be taken or stolen freely. A designer bag won’t even be worth as much as a pack of instant noodles.”

Lu Zhiyu thought about it, then quickly took out her phone to list her own bags, jewelry, clothes, and watches for sale.

Regardless of whether the The Apocalypse that Ningning mentioned would come or not, selling them wouldn’t hurt. If The Apocalypse didn’t happen, she could just buy new ones.

Seeing that Lu Zhiyu was selling hers, Song Yunqing thought about it and also took out her phone to start editing her listings.

Wen Shuyang felt completely overwhelmed, ”You guys are truly crazy.” However, despite saying that, she still took out her phone and reluctantly started selling her own things.

Xu Wanning swept her gaze over her three friends one by one. It was truly a blessing to have friends in this world willing to go crazy with her.

If only her Space Ability were still here. If she could just demonstrate it once, they wouldn’t be able to doubt her anymore.

Just as she was thinking this, the tray in her hand suddenly vanished.

The three of them, who were eating, froze instantly. They stared at the empty table for a moment, then looked up at Xu Wanning. They needed an explanation.

Xu Wanning sighed. Actually, she also hoped that everything was fake, that maybe it really had been a dream, and that there wouldn’t be The Apocalypse in this lifetime.

But, her Space Ability had come back with her, which meant that The Apocalypse would still happen.

Xu Wanning flipped her hand, and the tray returned to its original place, ”A Supernatural ability, a Space Ability. After The Apocalypse, some people became infected and mutated into zombies, some awakened as Ability Users, and most people remained ordinary.”

Lu Zhiyu put down her chopsticks, ”I’m going to call my parents and ask them to help me prepare some liquid funds.”

Song Yunqing also hurriedly opened wechat, ”Wuu, I don’t want to die yet.”

Wen Shuyang stood up abruptly, the sound of her chair scraping harsh and loud, ”So, that scumbag Jiang Lei is really going to kill me?!”

She hadn’t controlled her voice, and everyone in the cafeteria looked at her, including the three of them.

Lu Zhiyu quickly pulled her back down to her seat, taking the opportunity to explain to the people around them, ”Haha, we’re just playing a murder mystery game, hehe.”

Everyone looked away expressionlessly. Oh, so they were playing a murder mystery game. As long as they weren’t mentally ill, it was fine.

Wen Shuyang gritted her teeth, ”That scumbag, I knew he wasn’t a good person!”

Xu Wanning blinked. This development didn’t seem right, did it? In her previous life, Jiang Lei had hurt Wen Shuyang more than once, taking her things to be charitable and playing the saint.

The three of them had tried to persuade her to break up for a long time, but she never agreed. Now, just because she saw her Supernatural ability, she changed her impression of him?!

Song Yunqing silently raised her hand, ”Didn’t you say Jiang Lei loved you very much and that if he encountered zombies, he would rather die than let you get hurt? Why the sudden change?”

Wen Shuyang slapped the table, ”I thought Ningning was dreaming, but just now, swish, you all saw it too! What does this mean? It means all that was real, and that scumbag Jiang really killed me!”

Xu Wanning and Lu Zhiyu exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with relief. Her love-struck brain had miraculously recovered.

Wen Shuyang’s hand holding the phone was trembling, ”I’m not talking to you guys anymore. I need to hurry up and have my parents sell our house and car and fly over here as soon as possible.”

Xu Wanning pressed down on her hand, ”If you ask your parents to sell the house and car out of the blue, how could they possibly agree?”

Wen Shuyang’s eyes were red, ”What if I say I’ve been kidnapped and the kidnappers want a ransom? What do you think?”

Xu Wanning shook her head, ”That’s not a good idea, and it’s very likely to attract the police.”

Wen Shuyang put her phone down in frustration, ”Then what should we do? If they don’t come, and The Apocalypse really happens, we’re so far away, how can we save them? In the last life, did they survive?”

Xu Wanning’s nose felt sore again, and she shook her head, ”No, they all died.”

Tears welled up in Wen Shuyang and Song Yunqing’s eyes instantly, ”What are we going to do? Wuu.”

Lu Zhiyu pushed up her glasses, ”Why don’t we trick them into coming over for a vacation? It’s almost May Day. Let them come over first, and we can secretly list the properties with an agency. It should still be in time.”

”Okay.” The four of them immediately took action and called home.

Xu Wanning’s call was answered quickly, ”Ningning, what’s wrong? Calling Mom at this time?”

Xu Wanning’s eyes were red, and she tried hard to suppress the urge to cry.

”Mom, my roommates want to invite our parents to come over for May Day. Their parents have all agreed. Can you guys come too? Otherwise, I’ll be all alone, and it’ll be so pitiful.”

On the other end, when Mrs. Song heard that the other parents had all agreed, she couldn’t say the refusal she had originally planned. She immediately agreed, ”Alright, we’ll definitely come. I’ll have your dad book the flight tickets in a bit, we’ll arrive on April 30th.”

”Okay, love you, Mom.” Xu Wanning smiled and hung up the phone.

Lu Zhiyu and the others used the same tactic and successfully got their parents to agree to come over during May Day.

Xu Wanning showed her mobile bank balance, ”How much liquid money do you have on hand right now? I have 200,000.”

Lu Zhiyu, ”150,000.”

Song Yunqing gave a dry laugh, ”10,000.”

The three of them looked at her in unison, ”Where’s your money?”

Song Yunqing cried, ”I bought bags and clothes, I just spent it all, only some living expenses left. Wuu, please support me.”

Wen Shuyang slammed her phone on the table, ”1.5 million. I’ll support you.”

Song Yunqing immediately pounced on her, ”Sister, from now on, I’m yours.”

Xu Wanning was puzzled, ”Yangyang, where did you get so much money?” Yangyang’s family seemed to have a similar background to theirs, so how could they give her so much money!

Wen Shuyang lifted her chin, ”This is all money my grandfather left for me. He was afraid my parents wouldn’t treat me well, so he gave it to me secretly. It’s been in the bank for many years.”

Song Yunqing rubbed against Wen Shuyang’s shoulder, ”Thank you, Grandpa!”
